Gertrude is still rattled. What is happening to her? Then Kurma appears out of nowhere jumping around the room with his new staff like a child. Are we all going mad in here? If we're not killed, will our minds just give up on us?
Then she addresses Oniss: "Maybe you can help me then? Figure out what this is? At least you know magic?"
"...we may be the soundest people here at the moment. I fear that staff had some effect on Kurma."
"Ah, dear Oniss. Thank you for your concern. I am well, I am in fact quite happy. In this staff resides an old spirit, one of the Trickster God, Moa. He actually resides in me now, I think, and he is keen too help us in our quest! This is the first positive outcome of this tomb." "Oh and I am not sure how, but I have now this power, I can turn invisible at will. This will be helpful!"
Kurma catches his breath. "Oh well, it fells really good telling you all that. Friends never lie and hide things from each others."
"If you give me one more hour, it would be great. I need to attune to this staff. After this we can continue our journey."
Kurma then suddenly realises that something is off about Gertrude. "Gertrude... you look... different. How do you feel ? Let me have a look at you". Arcana Check: 7

"very well.... to the propeller then ! I think that I could break the axis of the rotor by magic, but I might need our strong barbarian to secure me with a rope."
Still a little stunned by Gertrude's change in appearance and then the accusations from an, understandably, upset friend, followed with a few laughs with Kurma, Irommek put his hand on Gertrude's shoulder and lightly petted her fur.
"Having a good bit of hair is something that you can be proud of. I know many a Dwarf that would sell their first hammer to have such fine fur for a beard. But if you prefer to be cold and fur-less, I'll ask Valkauna's guidance for a cure."
Gathering up his gear, he motioned for Kurma and Isabella to lead the way back to the propeller.
Brunella wipes tears from her eyes and, smiling, agrees with Irommek. "Good hair is a sign of virtue of our people. Should I grow a beard too Irommek? I hear it is popular girl's fashion among some mountain dwarf clans."
Gertrude isn't sure if she should laugh or cry. There is always something weird happening when magic is involved - she thinks to herself. Then she looks with Isabella at the river. She tests out the power of the flow and the depth.
If the group decides to go along the river, Gertrude will make sure to pick up her trident.
To the east, the underground river plunges down Into a dark, rocky chasm. Cold air swirls up from below like the breath of some monstrous creature. Through the gloom, you spot an ornate treasure chest resting on a ledge opposite.
To the west, a skeleton stands effortlessly on the ceiling, doing nothing.
Kurma replies to Moa by thoughts: "Yes, Moa. We were assuming this weird skeletons were playing an important role. We are keeping their headsets" Kurma slowly passes by the skeleton with the intention and making it run toward his companions.
He draws his mace Knowledge and smash the head of the skeleton: 19 damage bludgeoning 8

Oniss goes closer to Gert, while shooting an odd look at Kurma and Irommek, hetakes her hand to look at the fur.
"I can do magic Gerturde but honestly I know little about it? It has always been more of just a thing I could suddenly do? Still..."
Oniss lowers into a whisper,
"...we may be the soundest people here at the moment. I fear that staff had some effect on Kurma."

The river is very shallow and the flow is slow. It seems safe to walk in.
After discussing, the group prefers not to try to go through the biting mouth again and contemplates the path via the river.
Kurma whispers "Oh! I can scout now... Nobody can see me" As he finishes the sentence, the Tortle turns invisible.
Kurma is turning right and advance carefully, as quietly as possible, and taking his time to sport any danger.
