The journey through the basin proceeds quite well. Other than tiny, weird creatures, no monster attacks the party. Finally, lunchtime arrives. The sound of Musharib's belly is like clockwork.
Musharib: " Mmmm How do you want to proceed tomorrow? We stay in the centre of the basin, or we travel a bit closer to the west? "
OOC: Are the tiny creatures still sitting on our boat?
Gertrude asks Musharib: "What is the difference between the two options? We are out to look for dangers in the basin, so I guess we would continue straight on? The only other questions is if we were thinking to also visit that witch in Mbala that the commanders were talking about? Then we probably should head west and do a day trip to see her...
Musharib: " I think going around the Basin is safer than going straight on. The problem is that we do not know what we are looking for. According to the map...and the Tortle...Tomorrow, we can leave the boats somewhere here (Musharib indicates a point of the map on the river bank) and proceed inland westward to find your witch. Why do you want to find a witch anyway? "
Inete is struggling: " Last thing I want is to put you all in an unnecessary danger. But I really believe what we are doing here is important. If the dwarf says it is safer, I agree with him "
The tiny creatures are still nearby. Every now and then they disappeared into the water, just to re-appear a few moments later.
History9 Kurma remembers vaguely old tales with Red robes wizard but don't remember exactly who they were, and if they were good or bad omen... Pretty much useless :)
Kurma tries to recall Inete's vision and to associate the "red robes" with any kind of danger. Unfortunately "red robes" does not ring a bell in Kurma's mind, aside from the fact that this "danger" likes the red colour.
"Well, Inete came with us and proved to be a brave companion. She healed us more than once. So I say we help her do her recon here as a gesture." Than Kurma is bowing a bit his head and says: "Oh and also... I promised to her that I would help her and she gave us 100gp as a payment"
"I have no problem following Inete. Maybe let's hug the western side of the Basin and see if we come across any features that Inete might recall from her vision. If we don't find anything, maybe we need to track back inside. But I think you're right, Kurma, Inete has been a great help so far and she paid us to take her to find the people in her vision, so that's what we will do!"
Turning to Musharib:
"I have no business with any witch, I just thought, we need to ask as many people/creatures as we can about the soulmonger otherwise we'll be running around this damned jungle forever. If you think we should stay away from her (as the commander said too), then we'll leave her for now and continue for Hrakmar after we dealt with the Basin red robes."
As the others talk Oniss watches the small creatures move about with fascination . As one comes back into the boat from the water Oniss holds out his hand, palm up, inviting the creature aboard. With one hand out Oniss cast mage Hand and moves a small part of his rations to his open palm as well hoping the floating food will entice the creature.

The little creature scratches its head, as it is hesitant on what to do. Then, it shrugs and leaps over, on Oniss' hand, not caring about the food.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Watching with fascination as Oniss used his magic to try and lure in one of the strange creatures, Irommek shook himself back to the task at hand and inspected the map in more detail. Using his new compass, caliper and ruler, he mapped out the distance and best path to Mbala. He also studied the map’s details to see if there were any hidden clues or hints about red wizards in the basin.
OOC:
Survival check with skills & tools to find a safe, fast route to Mbala and back (16)
History check with skills & tools to try and get more information on red wizards in the area if possible (17)
Irommek, with the map, ruler and compass, deduces that the fast way to Mbala is to leave the boats in the evening on the river bank. Then they should proceed the day after out the jungle until they reach the hills.
Unfortunealty, he does not anything about red robes.
“I believe that I found the best course to Mbala. Seems to me that we’re out to find more information on the Soulmonger as well as red robed wizards, which the map has no useful information on by the way. I say we pay the witch and ghost town a visit first thing tomorrow morning. If she is any kind of sane witch, she’ll enjoy a good wine and maybe we can parley, share a drink and get info on the Soulmonger, wizards and where the basin leads east of here.”
Brunella is mistrustful of witches. "A witch? Another unnatural magic user. We should seek the soulstone, and then return for this witch later. People are dying. Do you not want to save lives by finding the stone? Looking for a witch only makes more people die as they wait for us to find the stone. It would be greedy to search for this witch."
"I agree Brunella, but we actually don't know much... From the vision of the grandmaster we know it is south but that is it.... We need to talk to people, try to get information. The jungle is not safe and I don't think we can just wander hoping that we will find the soulmonger by chance.."

Musharib: " Next settlement? There is none. Welcome to the real untamed jungle. "
In the evening, Musharib finds a good spot on the river bank to secure the boats. After consuming dinner, Musharib explains how they should proceed to get to Mbala, the ghost town:" All right, hopefully here the boats are safe. From here, it will take more or less three days to get to this Mbala. We stay outside the jungle, and that is good, but I do not know the territory around the hills. It could be easy, or it could be harsh."

Irommek, Gertrude and Kurma are now positive with visiting the witch. Brunella is against it. Felix and Oniss what is your opinion on this?
