"Well, I guess we search for the book then. We find large books while hopefully the drow and the scriv guy keep themselves busy. Probability best we stick together."
Chill looks doubtful but he's willing to give the plan a try.
"Lead the way Kingsport. It's a game of cat and mouse. Good thing I'm a really good cat."

LOL
While the other are helping Kingsport find what it's looking for, Kazri also look for a larger cart where the group can carry more books. If she does fine it, she tries to attach it to Oli.

With Chill leading the way you make your way through library. As you scan the books you come across you select a few volumes that look like they may fit the vague description given by Kingsport. Kazri finds another cart and with a bit of rope you are able to secure it to Oli. You start piling books onto the cart.
At one point you see a back room. Inside you can see the arcanaloth who appears to be alone.
Krom helps gathering the books. "Hopefully, we have found the book that Kingsport's master is looking for." Later, as the group notices the arcanaloth, the dwarf gestures towards the back room and whispers "This is our chance, I guess. He is alone."
"I wonder where the drow have gone. Have they left the library or are they still here? Perhaps Scriv here can answer that. And maybe we have the book he wants."
Chill then gets a mischievous look in his eye.
"If this goes poorly I may try and steal the scroll Kingsport needs from this guy. We can send Kingsport where he wants to go and leave ol Scriv here."
He looks to Rhogar for a moment,
"We can do that if we get the scroll right? Is that how that works?"
"Hm... It may be possible, but that assumes Kingsport wasn't also coerced into some fiendish contract. One he might not even be fully aware is in play." Rhogar quietly conveys out of leeriness still of being overheard. "But, if a moment presents itself and negotations are not going quite well, you will hear no complaints from me. But unlike with those hags, we should tread a 'little' more cautiously with this one."
"As for the drow anything is possible. But I doubt they'd have left without either leaving a companion behind to 'monitor' that one, or having successfully negotiated some sort of deal. So, let's keep are ears open on the off chance they've obscured themselves with magic, but otherwise take this chance."Rhogar concludes with Gorrah nodding enthusiastically in agreement.

Sensing that the group does not consider the creature's master an imminent threat, Kazri assumes a defensive posture. She stays close to Oli, in case her protege doesn't like the creature that is in the back room.

Taking the opportunity that the arcanaloth appears to be alone you step into the study room he occupies. You see a bespectacled, jackal-headed humanoid holding a bundle of scrolls.
It turns to to you as you enter. "Ah, back ag...." he starts but then stops. "Oh, yes, good you must be the librarians! Scrivenscry has need of your assistance.”
"Hello there," Krom says as the group steps into the room and the arcanaloth addresses them. "We’re not the librarians, but we’ve been assisting your associate with his search." The dwarf gestures toward Kingsport as he speaks, his tone cordial but cautious.
"Indeed! Much to our.... mmn... no, not regret, and any event my compatriot here has the right of it."Rhogar politely bows at the waist, but even then took care to keep his eyes on the arcanaloth. "The name is... Rhogar, and we would entreat with you, if that is alright. Partially in regards to the drow we saw enter this place, but also on matters regarding this fallen city itself." He plainly expresses. "If you would but entertain the notion -- perhaps over a cup of tea?" He requests. "I cannot make grand promises of a fruitful accord, mind you. But I would hope our, eh, initial assistance of your assistant in his own endeavors speaks volumes of our amicable nature and so forth."

"Not the librarians then? Many people in the library but no librarians?" They ask, a rhetorical question. "Scrivenscry seeks information. Scrivenscry seeks certain books. The others did not want to seek for books. Will you help Scrivenscry look for books?" they ask.
Kazri unties the ropes, and brings the cart with books to the creature. "We collected some books. Perhaps what you are looking for might be in there?" She takes a couple of steps back.

"These are good books but not exactly what Scrivenscry is looking for. " They say after a few minutes. "Would you be willing to look for more and assist Scrivenscry?"
Krom looks at his companions before speaking to Scrivenscry. "Might we know what the group of Drow asked you, Scrivenscry? We are at odds with their group, and with a limited time to complete our task, we may not be able to remain here long."
For just a moment, Rhogar tensed up as if intending to intercept the jackal-headed fiend and insist upon a deal. And yet... the moment passes without such an incident occurring, but the dragonborn nevertheless casting his gaze aside in either embarrassment or frustration. "... At least by all initial estimations we are at odds with them. But if you should feel reluctant to speak about them due to some prior arrangements, perhaps you might be willing or able to provide a means of better dealing with the local night hags. Preferably by some permeant means."
