"Hmph. The dead is done... Almost, at least." Rhogar said with a frown while eyeing the fallen wizard, then looked down the stairs before continuing. "But we must be swift, as it is only a matter of time before the rest of her underlings start to 'worry'. And while I do not doubt Chill's blades would suffice to finish her, best not to underestimate her and charms or wards she might yet possess. Divest her of her things -- especially of that staff, but be careful not jostle her overly much. Once that is done, I..."The dragonborn glanced once more in the direction of Avarice, then looked away grimacing in one moment and sighing in another. "She is too dangerous to leave alive, and we are in position to keep her captive in any real capacity. Such is /my/ thoughts on the matter. So... once she's bereft of any potential foci and the like, send her back to her master and make ready for a most... eh, a most taxing exit, or so I'd wager."

"Despoil the other as well." Chill says to Kazri as he looks around the room for anything else that may be useful of or value.
"Then we prepare to go down." Chill adds. "I will do the deed regarding her. I agree that we cannot leave her alive. She is too dangerous and her master is evil."
Rhogar chuckled softly despite himself. "To say that he's 'evil' is putting it gently. But no matter. I'll remain here by the stairs and keep look out. But Gorrah-..."Even before the Bronze could finish his words the psuedodragon was already in the process of swooping over to land near Avarice form, and stood poised to strike her again in the event the wizard awoke with some fight left in her. Though with her poison lingering in the system it was unlikely adding any more would've been enough to put the tiefling down once more.
"Hmph. Right. Seems I forgot."Rhogar smiled weakly at the familiar, then nodded to the group before focusing on the stairwell again.

"I see no other solutions," Krom says, nodding as Rhogar and Chill speaks of about finishing off Avarice. He adjusts his grip on his warhammer adding "I'll stay near the stairwell." The dwarf moves next to Rhogar, followed by his spectral dwarves. They take up a defensive position around him. "The hymn of conjuration will last a few more minutes," Krom says in a steady tone. We may need them. Those other cultists won't let us walk away without a fight."
Kazri quickly collects the items off Avarice, and the Cultist. She brings whatever she thinks might be magical for Rhogar's inspection. "If it is acceptable, I prefer not to be present when Chill completes our task here." She takes a few steps down the stair, and readies her weapon and shield.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kazri takes the staff from Avarice. She also grabs a bag and a quick look inside reveals Avarice’s spellbook which has white leather covers and vellum pages. The tiefling’s personal sigil is burned into the front cover. There is also a coin bag inside with 13 gold
The cultist has little of value. There is a mundane scythe and a small coin purse with 1 gold
There is nothing else of value around the room Avarice had not been there long enough to set anything up.
Chill is easily able to end the life of the unconscious woman.
After Chill takes care of Avarice, Krom adjusts his grip on his hammer and shield. "Stay close to me as we descend the stairs," he says in a calm voice "Our spectral guardians should be able to handle any cultists foolish enough to get too close." The radiant axes and hammers of the spectral dwarves glimmer, their light dancing across the icy walls of the chamber. Once the group is ready to proceed, Krom begins his descent.
While not necessarily inherently magical themselves, if Kazri still passes the book and staff over, Rhogar more than happily takes a moment to study the latter while Chill finishes business with Avarice. Though an errant thought prompted a glance towards the remains after the deed. "... Possible."He muttered, grimaced, and then quick steadying breath refocused on putting everything given into his bag of holding. Meanwhile, Gorrah stubbornly overwatched the execution before upon turning to take flight and rejoin Rhogar's side, sent feelings of approval and admiration to Chill.
"Mn. Fair enough. You and Kazri can take point, and me and Chill and Gorrah will cover you as best we can. But short of unilateral surrender, we cannot show the rest any mercy, least any survivors that flee return again to visit some twisted vengeance." Rhogar asserted while making ready to follow down the stairs.

Rhogar flips through the book and quickly sees that it is a spell book that wizards use. The staff also has a feeling of power, and is clearly magical though its immediate nature is not clear.
You reenter the tower and make your way down where several cultists have gathered to wait. They immediately get to their feet and are ready to oppose you. But seeing Rhogar carry the staff of Avarice they look apprehensive.
(OOC: So, I was going to bring up the fact that Rhogar had put both of her items in his bag of holding. But then as I checked my sheet today, I just realized that it was already at its limit. So, I guess for now he has one staff in each hand and the book tucked away in his backpack)
Though Rhogar's first instinct is to capitalize on the apprehension and destroy them utterly, the bronze couldn't help but trace the path of their gaze and narrow his eyes. "It has been..." He pauses and frowns, then finally looked to the gather cultists. "-Avarice has decided to step down, handing off the reigns to, well, uhm, the White Cloaks. Much to her... uhh, chagrin, let say. Nevertheless, uhm, in understanding that this sudden change in leadership might not be desired, you lot are to be given choices. Stay and obey us, or leave and take your chances trying to avoid the eventual wrath of powers beyond you. So choose now." He punctuates his point by slamming the butt of Avarice staff into the ground and glaring at the gathered group.
"And do not bother, uhh, asking for her. Other matters require her attention. None of which she can spare for you while so much preparation needs yet to be dealt with."
-Deception: 19. (Made at disadvantage, assuming a check is even needed, as I believe Rhogar's flaw makes actively lying difficult)
(The Flaw: I have very little tact. It's always best to be honest.)
Krom keeps his gaze fixed on the cultists as Rhogar addresses them. "Well played my friend" the dwarf thinks, "Let's see how they react." The spectral dwarves stand vigilant around him and the rest of the group, their radiant hammers and axes ready to strike at the first sign of hostility.
The apprehension in the eyes of the cultists steels into resolve as the realize what you have done. "Lestivus! For the archduke of Stygia!" they begin to yell and chant the name of Lestivus. They then attack!
Wis save DC 15 - 11
The cultist screams his defiance as he refuses to surrender. Krom and Gorrah's attacks miss.
A bolt of black light streaks towards Chill
Attack: 25 Damage: 11. If a hit the target’s weapon attacks deal half damage until the start of the cultist’s next turn.
Chill is back up as Avarice is unconscious
Chill uses Uncanny Dodge to half the damage.
He then takes Steady Aim and fires again
Attack: 30 Damage: 44
Chill's hit finishes off the cultist.
As for now the stairs are quiet as the other cultists stayed at the bottom of the tower.
