//apologies for the stand still, thank you all for your patience. I would like to clarify that combat has ended as the last kobold was slain in his attempt to escape.//
As the Kobold falls dead in the street, the woman lowers her guard and thanks you, ''I am Linan Swift, and this is my husband Cuth. Thank you for saving me and my children from those bastard Kobolds." You see that Cuth is struggling to stand upright and is leaning heavily on a building and his oldest child. "We must get to the Keep so that my husband can get his wound examined, it is the only safe place left in all of Greenest. You should come with us, let us make haste, it is not wise to stand in the street while dragons fly overhead." Though she asked you to join her she does not wait for an answer before she starts off in the direction of the keep. It is clear that, while grateful for your help, her family's safety is most important to her.

Buster looks about - "Hold it lady, if there be kobolds and a dragon about, maybe a straight sprint is not the best of ideas - let's try to be...," choking on the word as if he abhors it, "...sneaky... about this. We'll help you get to the keep, but you gotta be smart about it or you'll get rounded up like what almost just happened."
While saying this, Buster runs about trying to salvage as many of his javelins as he can.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Brisket retrieves his thrown cleaver, glaring at the back of Five-Sheets Frank stumbling away. "Seriously, who puts an extended shawm solo in the middle of Stairway To Heaven?" he mutters to himself before calling out, "You can't be a jam-band with only one member!"
Jogging over to his brother Buster, he continues his muttering, "...no one even likes jam-bands anyway..." before stopping to hear Linan talk.
He nods then to both her decision to head to the keep, and his brother's idea to do it cautiously.
"We'll help you and your family find safety, but my brother speaks wisely. That doesn't happen often, so we should capitalize on it when we can."
Brother Brisket then helps anyone who needs a hand, and prepares to stealth.

//occ Glad to see you Silence! I don't mind a slow game, but semi-regular updates would be nice. I think we have a good group, and so far im enjoying your DM style. //

"Not being noticed by the large dragon sounds like an excellent idea to me." Laurel walks towards Buster and Brisket, nudging a kobold corpse out of his way with a distasteful look on his face. "As does the sound of this Keep, the sooner we're there the better.Right behind you, gentlemen."
Laurel follows the others, keeping cover between him and the sky whenever he can.
Linan accepts reason and agrees to try to be stealthy about getting to the keep. As you are sneaking through the alleys, you notice a group of Cultists and Kobolds rounding up 5 villagers. Since they are distracted they do not notice your party. //your stealth rolls are good enough to sneak past them// You see pain in Linan's eyes but she doesn't move to attack, waiting to see what you will do. You hear the bell tower ringing and count the bells ring nine times.
// Not that it matters, but about how many cultists and kobolds are there? //
"Linan," whispers Buster, "hide in that alley for a moment - me and the fellas are going to size these guys up to see if we can save your neighbors." Buster is eyeing one of the "cultists," whispering under his breath, "always go for the baddie in a uniform first."
// I'd like to go after a cultist first but it'll depend on what the field of battle looks like, if you could give me a general idea of where the cultists, kobolds and villagers are in relation to our current position, it would be appreciated. //
// so i drew a really nice image in Microsoft Paint, but it is proving difficult to post. basically there are four kobolds standing on the sides of about 5 villagers and one cultist facing away from you about halfway across the street. the street is 20 ft wide, and all enemies are facing inwards (towards villagers). I will keep working on trying to get an image uploaded.//
// So the kobolds are nearest to the villagers and the cultist is by himself, all facing away from us? (sorry the image doesn't seem to be popping up on my phone) If that's the case.... //
Buster starts signaling to the others... and then realizes he hasn't taught them all the Dwarven signal commands for battle, whispers, "each one of us take a kobold, then we take the cultist."
// Suddenly, the disheveled bard reappears. Feeling festive and of good spirits, Ten-Sheets Frank sings a pleasant melody detailing the benefits of barbecuing chestnuts. //
Hello all, sorry for the dead silence, finals week is upon me and I have found little time to do anything remotely considered to be fun. But the good news is that after this week I have about four uninterrupted weeks of doing whatever I wish so i do hope to revive this campaign. Thanks for the patience and I shall return soon.
