"I'm not sure what to ask the man - maybe, the names of those he knew to be or suspected to be conspiring against the Waterbaron?" Ink states with some exasperation.
Briggs’ last words sound painful, like they’re a struggle to get out. “One I know not, the other...by reputation only. He lives...in the city I leave behind...”
With that, the Waterbaron’s man ceases to speak, his corpse once again becoming inanimate.
You already know of the Wink & Kiss, where you’ve met agents if the Hand of Yartar. If you’d like to find something different you can make an Investigation check by either asking around (Charisma, 10 minutes) or looking around (Intelligence, 1 hour).
"Should we question the tentacle tongue now? Or get Sanra over to the ship with Harthal? I think Matrix would prefer the latter... In case something goes wrong," comments Ink.

“Above all else, we should prioritize the safety of those that we saved before the pursuit of these criminals. We cannot risk what happened to these men occurring once more. There is something larger at play here.”

"To the ship then. Maybe if Sanra and Harthal are reunited they'd be more forthcoming - I get the feeling that he wasn't targeted just for his sword and armor... Speaking of..." Ink trails off.
On their way out, Ink repossess Harthal's armor from Brenner. He asks Crownsguard to carry it as the bag of holding is.... full.
Don finds that most people have their favorite neighborhood inns and taverns, but can't get a consensus at all about where would be the best place to go if one was looking to avoid town guards.
Back at the ship, Harthal and Sanra are overjoyed to be reunited, and excitedly talk about plans going forward, especially now that the threat on their lives is over. "Thank you for coming through for me, and for my wife," says Harthal. "I wish I had more reward to give you, but I've recently fallen on hard times. My father cut me off, you see, and I am doing everything I can do make something of myself, on my own terms. For Sanra."
Crownsguard places a hand on his shoulder, “Do not be concerned. Your father was greatly concerned for your safety and, while his suspicions of guilt were misplaced, he ultimately desired your wellbeing above all else. I have no doubts that he will welcome both you and Sanra with open arms.”

"Crownsguard has your armor, as well... Although you may want to wash it first," Ink offers before continuing, "and he's right, you should go visit your father."
Before they leave, Ink tells Harthal about Brenner's association with this 'Society' about the other assailants and the general connection to abberant water. He asks, now that both he and Sanra are safe, if either of them had discovered or knew something that could be directly or indirectly related to this Cult. Ink admits to them that he finds it odd that Brenner would go through all this trouble for just Harthal's sword and armor, assuming that he expects something else must have happened for him to tap into the support that he did. He also tells them what the party learned from the dead victim.
"Hmm...that's not my armor. See how big it is across the shoulders! My breastplate should still be at my father's house, I hope," Harthal says, squeezing his wife around the waist. "Speaking of which, I think I'll take your advice. If my father is willing to reconcile, then he'll see just how delightful Sanra is!" Sanra looks less sure, but Harthal is already beaming about all the possibilities ahead of them as they prepare to disembark.
At Ink's question, Harthal shakes his head and shrugs. Sanra says, "There are a lot of societies in Yartar...most of them are just sorry excuses for fraternal orders. At least, that's been my experience," she says, unabashedly continuing, "I used to lift quite a few things from one, the Society of the River Rose. They kept replenishing their safe, but never changing the combination! It was the easiest mark. I miss those days."
They thank you one last time, Harthal wishing you well and telling you that he hopes you're able to put the sword to good use!
As they leave, Harthal can be heard saying, "Think of it, my love. We could get ourselves a house in Silverymoon! A tree house, even! You'll love it there!" Moon wine, elf cakes. And the singing! And the library. Oh, and the bridge! You'll have the time of your life, I promise..."

After they leave, the dragon cultists being talking quietly to each other about what an annoyingly snooty noble he was.
Delsephine, the cultist captain, asks you where you'd like to be off to next.
Aside from the Yartaran emblem (a stylized lion's head), there is the standard maker's mark on the inside of the breastplate. You don't recognize the smith. It is likely that Captain Brenner used some of his ill-gotten gains to pay for this flashy piece of armor.
If you are up in the air at any time, you will see a couple of army contingents approaching in the light of highsun, one from the west and one from the east. These might be the reinforcements that the Waterbaron mentioned requesting from other Lords' Alliance members.
“So fast...ink black...cold, like the sea...”
“I know not of what you speak.”
