"Small man, I no have money, here shirt." I turn around and toss him the shirt on the floor. It smells rather terrible as it has not been washed in probably two weeks. "I give shirt on floor since not on back. I give note to last contract you collect from him and we all circle." Sven takes his large hammer and collects his trouser, before moving to head downstairs.
Percy looks as if he is trying to hold back vomit induced by part of the rancid shirt landing in his half-open mouth. You are able to walk right by him as he struggles to regain his composure. "Look, I don't know if Utkrad is going to be okay with this sort of arrangement." As reach the landing at the bottom of the stairs, you find your self in a small tavern. The tavern consists of a bar, three circular tables surrounded by chairs, and a small raised stage in the corner. Currently, it is just you and the bartender occupying this floor. You find Clifton, the bartender, whittling behind the bar. He looks to be around 50 years old, with jet black hair slicked back, you notice a scar across his nose. You hear his friendly voice, "Morning Sven, breakfast is still warm." He places down a small stein and a plate with bacon and eggs on the bartop.
"Hmmm," he thinks as he scratches his chin. You notice he has six oddly long hairs sticking out of his wrinkled chin. He hobbles into a back room, returning moments later with a jar of white powder. The old man sets the jar down on a table without saying a word and begins pouring some into a device with some sort of crank. Two minutes go by; he turns around displaying a small orb between his index finger and thumb. The orb is slightly smaller than your fist and made of what you can only assume is densely packed powder. "This should do the trick," he says excitedly. "Just throw it forcefully against a hard surface. I can sell you one for eight silver
Ey-Eynak says nothing for what seems to be an eternity, his eyes a blank stare locked on the chin of this old man. After a few moments, he snaps back to the present, a look of mild disgust still present on his face.
"Yeah man, I'll take it." Ey-Eynak hands over 8 Silver.
Ey-Eynak turns, takes one more glance at the old man's chin, and leaves the store.
Now I just need to wait for his performance. I should head to the Inn where he is performing and scope it out a bit. I need to find a place to wait near the stage, and maybe get a setlist so I know when to start my performance.
"Wow, you really are nice! If you head back into the market and take the road up the hill, you'll be able to find a couple of temples that way," she says as she tucks the other piece of bread into her pocket. "That halfling man?" she points "He gave me some money to look for a human and tell him if I see him."
Tuli
“Thank you.” I say, letting the words run long as I glance once more at the Hafling man she pointed at and he seems to meet my gaze. I stand up strait, breath in deeply, and turn back to the market. I walk slowly, keeping the sun on my head, watching the crowd for anything new or interesting as I make my way toward the far road and hill.

I start to dig into the food while I ponder the next step. "You know person hire for money? Sven need job to pay wife and children." You begin to investigate where Tyler may be performing tonight. After talking to a few people on the street, the buzz is he will be performing at the traveling circus this evening. The circus is being set up right now just outside the east gate of town.
As I wait for the children to return with information I start to watch the giant turtle with much interest. I wonder to myself "Does it have fingers? Is it intelligent? Can it take off its shell? Can it use small objects like a matchbox? Do the spots on it back refer to how old it is?"
I find myself daydreaming about how this giant turtle would accomplish these menial everyday tasks as I watch it. I'm trying to keep an eye out for my mark but I'm having a hard time looking away from this turtle.
You see this mystical turtle lean over and pass part of a loaf of bread to one of the children you paid moments earlier. They chat for a bit, and you notice the turtle glance towards you, meeting your gaze for a moment. The creature stands tall and begins to walk towards the center of town. You feel a slight tug on the back of your shirt. "Excuse me, sir," you hear a squeaky voice say, "I think I might have some information for you." One of the children you previous paid begins to inform you, "I talked to a couple of my friends, and they said a lot of travelers had been seen near the area just outside of town, it looks like they are setting up a very large tent with red and white stripes on it! Could it be a circus? Oh boy, I hope it's a circus." The child holds out his small weatherbeaten hand and looks at you innocently.

"Keep your money Sven, what you paid for the room covers breakfast. Just keep your head up Sven, use the bricks others throw at you to build yourself a strong foundation," Cliff says. You find he often says weird riddles that don't quite make sense. "Well, I don't know of much work right now, but you might be able to find a security job just outside of town. They are setting up a three-day circus and may need extra bodies to keep the peace."

You begin your slow stroll up the hill, minutes pass, and you realize the type of people you are surrounded with has changed drastically. Everyone seems much cleaner and better dressed, the establishments are well built and not in shambles, children aren't running the street, and a city guard seems to be posted on every street corner. As you turn your gaze further up the hill, you see a large, tall, white building. Many of the walls of the building are covered with what looks like stained glass. Apon further inspection you can see that the stained glasses is littered with pictures of a face in the sun. Gold tapestries hang by the door to this building. The doors are wide open.

A small, almost awkward smile breaks out on my face. It has been a while since a person has shown me this much kindness as Cliff has these past few weeks. I eagerly consume the rest of my food and take half the copper coins back. "Time get work. I find dis circus. Thanks friend." Sven moves to the stairs and shouts to Percy. "I job at circus. I exit the tavern, slowly turn my head back "I like dis Iron Shepard tavern. Cliff good person". I tie my armor to my backpack and sling it on. I hoist the maul over my shoulder and make my way to this circus. Upon arrival I shout. "HELLO, SVEN NEED JOB. I GUD AT SMASH THING."

Don't want people talking about why I wasn't invited to perform, although the circus lost all credibility by not asking me to show up.
"Yeah, yeah..... Ayo, halflings, it's time......Straight out the crazy dungeons of rap....."
"The people deserve a real artist, not this no talent ass clown Tyler Rapid. It's almost fitting he's playing at the circus. Once the people hear my new song, they won't even remember that he was on stage...."

I make my way to the front of the temple and gaze up at the face of the shinning one, the eye in the sun, Pelor. The white marble is cool to the touch as I climb the steep steps up to to the front doors. The stairs let the temple tower above me as I rise and the stain glass captures the sun and refracts it in pools of yellow gold upon the my back as if I was bathing in light. The doors are wide open, the room inside feels brighter than the afternoon day, pure white and gold fill the space and from within a soft and mumbled chant "I am merciful, just as the Sun of Mercy shines on me." I rest at the door, letting my eyes adjust to the brightness inside. In all my travels I have seen many temple to Pelor, patched white buildings with hospital wings attached to them, gold trimming and devoted followers mostly common folk, this temple leaves me with a sense of aw. I make my way through the doors and walk gently into the main chamber trying not to disturb anyone, joining the prayer I say softly “I am merciful, just as the Sun of Mercy shines on me.”

I sigh, take a deep breath and say to the child "That's not the information I asked for... but you know... you might be onto something. Here...". I hand the child 1 silver piece, and bend down to the child's level "why don't you do this for me? Take this silver piece and go to the Circus, have some fun and keep and eye out for that man. Tonight I'll be at this inn here." I motion to the inn behind me that I stumbled out of this morning. "If you see that man come find me there and I'll give you another silver piece. If I don't see you have fun at the Circus!" I motion for the child to head off towards the Circus.
I walk over to the other 2 children I told to keep an eye out and tell them "I'll be staying at this inn behind me tonight, if you see that man I asked about follow him and find out where he's staying then come find me, if you find him you'll get that Silver piece."
I then head off in the direction of the center of town to follow the mystical turtle. I want to see where he goes, I'm very intrigued by him, he's the most interesting creature I've seen in a while. I do my best to keep my distance from him while maintaining some visual contact to see where he goes, I don't want to tip him off I'm following him yet.

You dodge and weave flawlessly through crowds of people,(Stealth Roll: 22)not a single persons gaze falls on to you. The east gate towers above you, 25 feet tall towers on either side of a large, open wooden door, people trickling in and out. You follow the flow to just outside the city walls and there you see the grounds of the circus. The tent already erected and the stage being built in front of your eyes. You are able to look over the stage briefly and figure out the best spots for you to lay wait and spring your trap.

The children all run off after agreeing to follow your instructions. You make your way towards the direction you saw the turtle head, trying to stay out of sight. (Stealth Roll: 20) You dip in and out of alleyways, hide behind barrels, and walk in the shadows of those taller than you. Your target is none the wiser. You notice you have to lag behind a little as the population of the streets thin out. You see the turtle stop and look up at a large white temple before he steps through the open doors.

An older human male in long white and gold robes walks up to you. With a friendly smile he says, "By the burning light, what do we have here? You are quite a ways from home aren't you my son? What brings you to the great city of Grebrook?"
“Father . . .” I turn to the old man and bow reverently. “I am sorry if I disturbed the peace father, the doors were open, and I . . .”

"Pretty decent, for a circus" I say as I eye up the still-in-construction stage. I walk back to the crowd of onlookers and bide my time till the performance, reciting lyrics under my breath and playing the beats over and over again in my head. I keep an eye out for anything or anyone that would prevent me from rushing the stage as I continue to watch the preparations.
I let out an barely audible groan to myself as the turtle enters the Temple, "Ughhh another one of 'those' people. Religion is for the weak minded, those who can't think for themselves." I think to myself. After being disappointed by the turtle's life choices I turn around and start heading toward the outskirts of town to where the Circus may be happening. I try to keep an eye out for my mark or anything out of the ordinary on the way.

You make it to the east side of town without any issue, exiting the city gate you are greeted with a large crowd around an even larger circus tent. The begin to scan the crowd seeing if anything stands out to you. You see a human male juggling swords, a dwarf female balancing and rolling around on a large brown ball, and a..wait, what's that? Your head snaps back, halfway between the human sword juggler and the balancing dwarf you see a face that stands out to you. A blad human male, with weathered brown skin and green eyes like jade, wearing a long white robe with gold trim. Your eyes focus in; he seems to be talking to another human male. His friend has brown hair and a clean-shaven face. The sun shines off of his polished armor, making it near impossible to look at from this angle. Weaving through the crowds seems to be second nature to you at this point. You manage to always keep a body between you and your mark, making it near impossible for him to spot you (Stealth Roll - Crit Success 27). You circle your prey, keeping an eye out for the bust. All you are able to see is a knapsack he is holding in front of him, by the way he holds his arms, you can tell the contents are fairly heavy. You also notice that the robust man standing with him seems very attentive and his eyes are constantly scanning the crowd around him. He looks like he could make quick work of you if he catches you. You hear his friendly voice, "Morning Sven, breakfast is still warm." He places down a small stein and a plate with bacon and eggs on the bartop.

I make my way in the direction of the east gate, muttering lyrics and imagining the drums in my head as I walk. I keep my hood up so no-one notices me on the way, I can't let people know I'll be there.
"Thinking of wenches. Yuh, thinking of wenches...."

"By the burning light, what do we have here?”
“Father . . .” I turn to the old man and bow reverently. “I am sorry if I disturbed the peace father, the doors were open, and I . . .”
“You are quite a ways from home aren't you my son?”
“I am always both near and far, as long as the sun is on my back Pelor guides my steps. My kind are and have always been wonderers”
“What brings you to the great city of Grebrook?”
“On my travels I have heard rummers of both beauty and trouble within this temple. I didn’t know what to believe so I came to see what is true and give whatever aid I might. I spent last night on your beach and woke to see the sunrise glistening across the waves and white sand shore--it has been a long time since I have felt so at peace.”

As you look around(Perception Roll: 1 crit fail) you are certain that this will be the easiest task you have ever had to do. In fact, you wonder if the sheer lack of guards around will be an issue when all of your adoring new fans come rushing to you. The crowd around the fairgrounds begins to grow large; you guess the festivities will begin in a couple of hours.
Rico
After a few moments pass, they turn and walk deeper into the crowd.

"Perfect, perfect, we are going ta need all de bodies we can use. Dis carnival is bringing mo people dan we thought. And we have a few nobles attending dat need watchin' ova. Go stand by da north entrance to da tent, and keep an eye out for anything fishy." He points you in the direction of the north entrance of the tent before turning and hollering at a few kids playing with one of the support poles.

His happy expression quickly whisps away and is replaced with a face of worry as he lets out a long exhale. "Oh, son. I would hate to bring in it to matters as serious as this. But, if you insist on aiding us I must tell you. Multiple relics of the church have been stolen and the bodies of those who guard them turn up dead. We have a traveling preacher on his way to this town now. I'm afraid he will stop at the carnival outside the city gates before seeking refuge here. He knows not of the danger he is in. Please, son, if you can, seek him out and make sure no harm falls on him. His name is Father Antonio; he has eyes of jade."
I kneel down and reach into my backpack and pull out a shirt. I write on the back of it "S... E... R... C... U... I... T... Y..." Now that I look the part I make my way to the north side of the circus. I stand at attention looking and smelling for anything that seems like fish.

I smile to myself after finding my mark finally. I follow keeping him in my sight but no too far off. After he comes to a stop I try and edge myself a little closer while staying hidden. I'm searching for any sign of the Bust, maybe a heavy sack or a glimpse of it somewhere.

“Father Antonio . . . Of course I will seek him out and make sure he arrives safely.” before turning to leave I dig within my sack and pull out a single gold piece. “May the light find and keep you well father.” I turn back to the open doorway and step into the dim afternoon day. I can here noise and commotion coming from the city now—as if I had been blind to it just a moment before. I walk quickly back down the hill, shifting and swaying through crowds as the cobbled street turns to dirt, the people recede into common folk, and the buildings to shambles. After a time I can see the East Gate and the circus beyond—I begin searching for Father Antonio.

"I mean, I don't know why they'd want to stop me anyway. The town is obviously yearning for a true artist. I'll give em one" Completely confident my plan is foolproof, I bide my time untill the performances start. "I'm rappin' to the nod, And I'm gonna move your rod."

You finally make your way to festivities and your senses are completely overwhelmed. You see men juggling, breathing fire, rolling around on large balls. This is like no celebration you have ever seen. As you attempt to look for Father Antonio, your eyes keep getting pulled in every direction. If he is here, he is lost in a see of fascination.
