"I grow tired of waiting. Let us descend. Kiellie has already searched for danger. I trust her judgement is sound." Again Kevash stamps the end of his staff on the ground, but this time the tip roared and crackled to life with flame ( Produce Flame but I'm just conjuring it on the staff instead of his hands...for aesthetic reasons). With light in hand, Kevash began to descend upon the spiraling stairwell.
All added to the sheet, along with the mithral plate and prepared spells. And with that (sorry for the wait!)...
"Damn! For all that talk of not likin' hikes, you guys sure can power up a mountain when you've got a mind to! And I thought I was excited to get started!" A grin splits Tellan's brown face as she clatters along in the rear, the smile broad and making an odd hissing sound as she pants a little through clenched teeth. "Wasn't expecting you lot to leave me in the dust like that! Guess I need to do some more hiking of my own if I'm gonna get used to heading uphill—er, upmountain, I s'pose—in heavy armor, eh? Not much practice for this while playin' a round of goblin croquet out in the scrublands." She takes out her maul, slams its handle into the ground and leans on the hammer's head, glad for a moment's rest.
"Well, anyway, now the gang's all here, maybe this'd be a good time for a little breather and a little chat, get to know one another better and all th— hey!" The dragonborn in front of her sweeps forward, all get-up-and-go all over again, and makes straight for the stairwell with fire sparking at the tip of his staff. "Whoa, hang on, I just— I mean, or we could go now! Going now is good, too. I'm good with going!" Tell swings her maul up over her armored shoulder with a clatter and surges to catch up with him, all signs of exhaustion vanishing just as soon as they'd appeared. "I like your drive, Green Guy! What d'you see down there?"
As the party descends the staircase, they notice the following: It descends for about a hundred feet. The air is warm, humid and somewhat foul smelling. The party enters a long hallway at the end of the staircase. The floor is covered with water, about a foot deep. Patches of green and white algae float on top of it. Algae or Algae-like fungus cling to the walls and ceiling. A quick investigation of the algae will reveal that it is harmless. The sloshing by the party as they make their way through the water will make it hard to be completely silent, run through or remain invisible in via spells.
With nothing else to note, the party presses on to a three way fork in the dungeon. A passage leads to the north, east or west. The west and north passages are completely silent. But when you strain your ears to listen for something in the east corridor, you detect a faint squishing sound. It appears to be getting louder the longer the party waits...
Kevash rounds down the staircase, taking in the smell. "See?" He said as Tell caught up to him. "No, it is the sent. It is old...the smell of time. " Kevash took a few more sniffs "There is also quite a lot of water" He said as they sloshed into the drink. "I do not believe we have met before. I am Kevash of Brittlebone Bog. I am humbled to meet you and-" He cut off, holding out his arm to stop his armored companion. Kevash turns to Tell and the others, whispering "There is something in this eastern hall. It is getting closer. What should we do?"

(I'd also like to make a perception check to see if I can hear anything distinct about the sound...like does it sound like one big mass trudging through the water or is it on legs? Just any defining features about the sound and its source. I'll provide a roll in case there is anything)
(DM! Need approval on magic item request! First preference is a Longbow of Warning followed by a Ckoak of Displacement. If either of those are out, I'd go for Eleven Chain, then Headband of Intellect. First two I'll gladly take one and nothing else, the other 2 I'd like as a set if the first 2 are out, but your discretion completely.)

OOC: Sorry everyone, particularly to Zero, Barlow, and Lana; I realize there was quite a bit of RP going on and I wasn't around to respond with Boresh's reactions in the scene. Timezones! I'm in the Philippines so it's basically the opposite of EST, if it's 9:00PM there then it's 9:00AM here. To keep this from disrupting the flow of the game, I am granting permission to others in taking control over Boresh's RP interactions if the online indicator in my profile pic is off; just keep in mind Boresh is a half-orc pirate and has INT 8, WIS 8, and CHA 14, so he's not the brightest but he definitely has a certain charm about him. Kind of like Kronk. DM, you also have my explicit consent to control Boresh's combat actions if I'm offline as well.
Boresh's demeanor shifts as the first signs of danger arise. He readies his greataxe, and double-checks to make sure his horn -- the focus of his bardic magic -- hangs readily available at his side in case a spell must quickly be cast. He also takes point (along with whoever decides to take up the front row), preparing to shield his allies from harm by blocking whatever approaches with his sheer size.
"Whatever it is, it I don't like it," he says quietly through gritted teeth.

Tellan, still grinning, nods as she sloshes past the dragonborn and the waifish girl toward the eastern opening. "Pleasure meetin' you, too, Kev! Name's Tellan Bladeseeker; you guys can call me Tell, on account of that's a lot shorter and easier to shout when you need me to come running! As for that squishy sorta noise up ahead..." She squints down the passageway and frowns. "You and the rest just let me know whatever it is you're seeing, or... smelling? I guess? Sure?" She gives an audible sniff as she plants herself next to Boresh up front, then wrinkles her nose. "Huh. Anyway, you sense it, I'll take care of it!"
(And just in case she does see something, wise and perceptive as she is... Perception:0)
OOC: I'll allow the elven chain and headband of intellect Barlow. Also thanks for letting me know about the timezone and controlling Boresh if necessary.
Result of the perception check: The sound of the squishing has a slow, heavy and monotonous rhythm suggesting a non-humanoid, non-bipedal creature. The mystery surrounding the sound does not last long. The source of the noise reveals itself to be a black pudding.

Initiative Roll: 21
And if we needed to roll init first after all, I don't mind if that voids my act; will delete/edit as necessary.
OOC: Umm. Guys, I think I may have inadvertently caused Oddlot (Griselda) to pull out? All his/her posts in this thread seem to be gone, I only noticed after a short PM exchange we had. :/ I'm asking him/her to come back, but in case s/he doesn't, at least you all know what's up.
OOC: I thought I'd roll initiative for everyone for convenience sake, but if you want to roll your own initiative I'll note that for future reference. Also, I've been hiding my rolls, but if you would rather me post my rolls I can also do that for transparency. Sorry if Gris dropped out, but as long as there's at least one person playing, I'll see them through the adventure.
Boresh's greataxe cleaves cleanly through the pudding, making a sickening ripping sound. The axe sends ripples through the water thudding into the muddy floor. The party notices the pudding has now become two separate ones. Each is medium sized and has half the life of the original large pudding. The first of the two puddings took Kevash's flame damage, causing visible scorch marks on the amorphous creature.
OOC: I'm perfectly happy with you rolling initiative for us. Just one lest thing to bog down the forum. I also don't mind you hiding your rolls. More mystery!
