The Tavern keep a small and portly man pipes up with cracked voice struggling to enunciate each word.
"What ye be talkin about giant the Lord of Sands, what Bollocks. According to the folk round these parts he just be a story, my advice would be to drown your stupidity ye people have sent ye on a fools errand."
"The Devil? You give me a little to much credit." Alexander quipped, winking at Xing. He was going to ask where the little guy was from, but his thought was cut off by the voice of the barkeep. Funny, the Tiefling was also in the area because of the rumors of the Lord of Sands.
"So what makes you so confident that there is no Lord of Sands? Better be safe than sorry, right?" He asked, nodding his head towards the portly man. Alexander crossed his arms over his chest, his tail swaying from side to side as it poked out from under his coat.
"Ye clearly havney heard the so called legend surrounding this 'Lord of Sands' If ye did ye would see it tis just a story for the young and the stupid."
“If the clergy has taught me anything it’s that legends always have truth in them. I wouldn’t so carelessly dismiss these rumors. Interestingly enough I’m also here to investigate these rumors.”
"Hey, keep, how about you amuse a few fools and let us know some of these rumors?" Alexander requested, running his hand through his hair. He hadn't traveled this far for nothing, and wanted to get to the bottom of this, be it true or not.
"Fine, then ye feckers, if ye all so curious here's wat ave been told. The Lord o' Sands is apparently an Ancient demon from before physical life, back in is day he wreaked havoc throughout Akaliree until he began to set his sights on the world beyond. He died don't fecking know how but that's how it's told. But according to this pishy legend he would return when the world least expected. The sensitive among us would hear his call and he would blanket all in plague and destruction. Happy? Good, now if yer finished get the fek outta my tavern the lot of ye!"
Xing puts his hands up in surrender with his beak low, while making sure to shake his 20 gold in his pouch extravagantly. Xing walks backwards toward the doors.

Listening to the tavern keep, Alexander nods his head. As of yet, he had only heard a little in regards to the Lord of Sands, so every new piece of information was exciting to him. He tries to recall how much he knows about demons, particularly if killing them actually gets rid of them for good.
As he hears something within his own mind, he closes his eyes. This was not the first time this occurred, his patron spoke to him periodically, but he was not sure if this was the voice he was used too.

Perception check, if needed, to identify the murmur: 13
(Alexander) You recall that certain demons cannot be sent from this world by simply killing them, you do not know what kind of Demon The lord of Sands is.
The murmuring is harsh and speaks in a more ancient tongue.
“No,” says Feng, eyes narrowing. “But this puny barkeep just told me to get out of his bar. I’m not going anywhere til I’ve finished my drink, and I don’t think he can make me.”
OOC: Alexander knows common, Infernal, Celestial, and Elvish. Does the voice sound anything like them?
Hadran knows Abyssal and Elvish. Does the voice sound anything like them?

“There’s a- Lord of Sands.- And Ki-rins- dance with the children.- Bollocks!” Xing crows with the accompaniment of a laugh track again.

Xing swivels on his stool back around to the barkeep and puts both hands under his chin in an fake cutesy position.

Donar, after hearing the voice in his head, is looking around frantically to see if someone is speaking and looking at him.

After looking around he’ll look at the others and then tentatively say.
”Did any of you guys say something?”
“No,” says Feng, eyes narrowing. “But this puny barkeep just told me to get out of his bar. I’m not going anywhere til I’ve finished my drink, and I don’t think he can make me.”
