Welcome to the city of Star's Landing, a small little village on the edge of the mountains, the town has always been a peaceful town, used by many to rest up before heading to the dwarven cities in the mountains. You are all currently in the city, though you have never met, and you are all currently enjoying your own individual pastimes currently.
Lo-Gan sitting at his own table is a goliath an old goliath at that. Very unusual, most goliaths are cheery and causing rucks but Lo-Gan is quietly drinking and not causing trouble. From the looks of him he's about 7'5 with the usual gray tone skin and tattoos with a beard. He has a couple of scars but nothing unusual for a Goliath as old as him. He's currently drinking something (DM what would be harder than ale maybe whiskey of sorts?) and is enjoy his solitude.
He has currently just left some villagers that he has helped move here and is in the bar planning what to do next.
With his back to the wall and a view of the door a human male sits quietly in the same bar, nursing a beer but more intent on the other customers than the alcohol. He is of average build with dark hair and a short beard. A rapier at his hip looks functional but plain and the short bow propped against the table much the same. Other customers note that he seems to have been waiting for someone but so far nobody has spoken to him. He has the look of a soldier, and spoke politely to the serving girl when he ordered, but there is a dangerous air to him nonetheless.
In the past people have said he looks like a wolf, which is ironic as in the old language of his ancestors his name, Farkas, means just that.

Vhon - Level 2 Warlock - What shall become of the Drunken Sailor?
Sitting alone in a corner is Chuuk a 75 year old male Eladrin. Quietly mumbling to himself and scrawling in a journal you can tell that he is a slightly troubled being. He doesn't seem particularly interested in anything, or anyone, here never saying more than a few words at a time. Those who look directly into Chuuk's eyes can see that he has been touched by great darkness, though you get the impression that he has great power in him there is nothing to fear, he doesn't even appear visibly armed.
He is simply here passing through and possibly looking for the odd job to fund his wanderings.
Farkas looks like he has waited as much as he is going to, he leaves his beer unfinished and picks up his bow, stopping only to thank the serving girl and gives a respectful nod to the goliath who looks up at him as he walks past. He stands in the doorway of the tavern taking his bearings, deciding on a course of action.

Vhon - Level 2 Warlock - What shall become of the Drunken Sailor?
Having waited quite awhile without noticing anything amiss, or successfully finding adventure, Chuuk prepares to leave and find his own darkness to fight. As he does so he notices a battle hardened human walking across the bar acknowledging only the bar maid, and an eerily quiet Goliath. Deciding that at the very least this Human would provide a mild adventure Chuuk decides to approach.
"Good evening sir, I've come here looking for something, but I am beginning to think it is not here. Since you, wolfman, seem to have come to a similar conclusion what say we continue on for a bit together? The roads can be dangerous alone, and you look rather capable. Name's Chuuk by the way."
Well met. I too had come seeking adventure. I had arranged to meet someone here. But they are very late and I fear for them, I do not know if I shall stay long here, unless I can find some work I won't be able to keep a roof overy head for long. I will stay one more day, if you wish to travel on together after that I agree the road would be safer.
I was wondering about the goliath over there too, if two is safer than one a three with one like him is almost four. And I have a good feeling about him, he looks like a warrior.
Shall we go and introduce ourselves? I am Farkas by the way.
I have met quite a few Goliaths in my travels, they are formidable opponents and even better companions! I believe I spotted him on my way in to town assisting some townsfolk so we can assume he's at least friendly, though seems slightly out of character for on such as him to be drinking quietly alone. Oh well, nothing ventured nothing gained, right?
Greetings good sir, I am Chuuk, this is Farkas. We've come looking for work and adventure, however it seems like not a lot is going on here. May we join you for a drink and discuss possibly travelling together? Safety in numbers and that.
Lo-Gan looking to these two strangers nods for them to sit"You may sit, I am Lo-Gan. This must be fate for I am also looking for adventurers, I just finished helping some of my friends move here and currently only have a few days worth of money. What work did you two have in mind?"

Felix Windfall (Human-V Lv.7 Rogue) killed in ToA,Vallan Houndstrider (Halfling Ghostwise Lv.1 Fighter) in DiA
As the three of you are talking amongst each other, you hear loud screams from outside, followed by something that sounds like a warcry
Artemisia, as you are selling your wares, you hear a scream from down the street, then see a large band of Orcs charge into the square, yelling and swinging their weapons at everyone they come close to
At the sound of the ruckus outside Chuuk stops talking suddenly and moves across the bar to see what exactly is going on outside. Letting his body ease into his magic and preparing for battle.
Farkas checks his bow, quiver and blades are all in position and loosened in their scabbards. He moves out slightly into the street until he can see the orcs, realising that a large party of these monsters would be beyond this small group of companions. He also scans the area for any signs of town guard, militia or any other organised resistance going up.
As Chuuk, Lo-Gan, and Farkas run outside, they see a large crowd of Orcs running into the town square. You can see a Dragonborn with a shield and trident standing next to a small table, appearing to be the only person who isn't running in terror. You can hear a bell in the distance, but see no guards or any sort of resistance going on. As you all are taking the scene in, you see one of the orcs cut down a passing woman with his long sword. He then reaches down and takes some of the blood pouring from her wound and wipes it across his face before yelling a warcry
//If you all decide to attack the group, please roll initiative. RIght now, you can see about 6 orcs who are entering the square//
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
There are a lot of them, probably more than we can handle but innocent people, unable to defend themselves, are going to die so I say we fight. There is a dragonborn over there we could try and link up with, four together might give us a chance at least to allow others to escape.
Farkas would fight but if the consensus goes against him then will stick with the party, he isn't suicidal!
If necessary, Initiative 21

Lo-Gan seeing the woman get cut down shout "Those cowards, I'll cut 'em in half! I shall take the front with the dragonborn follow our flanks!" Lo-Gan will rush forward!
A deep cold rage come over Chuuk, he moves out beside Farkas. "Someone has to help these people, especially since this town has decided to abandon it's people"
DM: are we close enough to make verbal contact with Artemisia? If so I call out to her" Dragonborn can you make it closer to our position?"
