The basement is roughly 20' x 20', and the walls are made of bricks, and the walls that don't have product up against the walls - you can see the walls are covered with various lengths of wood planks. The floor is covered with a worn rug. There is no obvious exit that you can see at the moment.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: That he is!
Landris will scratch the weasels head gently. "Alrighty...." He will then hold up his cane and mumble a few words, casting Sleep
It covers a 20ft sphere originating from a point Landris chooses. Since the Basement is about 20ftx20ft, he should be able to get the entire area, minus his companions.
Landris will turn back to the others. "I don't think anyone's down here...at least, not anymore" The old man gives a shrug and immediately regrets it as he hears a pop! "Ow...." He groans. He shuffles past the group and back into the kitchen. "Would one of you mind helping an old man pop his shoulder back into place?"
Balarouse, with some focus and a bit of concentration, your mind hones in as you look around, and as you think, you are suddenly aware of everything in and around this plane of existence. For a very frightening moment, you can sense and understand everything in the known cosmos and beyond - and quite possibly caught the notice of some horribly evil and ancient old god that was born before our universe and reality was created. It's gaze about to destroy your soul, you quickly snap out of it to the puzzled look of your companions - wondering why you're suddenly sweating, but know the mathematical formula of quantum physics that would make one thousand year old sages jealous.
Just kidding. Nice roll, though!
You notice that one of the wood panels is movable, and a latch can be, and has been, moved to open a small door that leads to a very dark secret room.
UPDATE:
If you roll a NAT 20, then YOU can decide if something good happens to you, or to another player. Make your request realistic, yet heroic. Nothing too crazy.
If you roll a NAT 1, then I get to decide if something bad happens to you, or another player. I will make my request realistic, but expect a bad result. Nothing too crippling.
Suddenly, two longswords start glowing from the weapon racks and explode to life in a brilliant flash of triggered arcane energy. They rapidly approach you all, swinging wildly.
Haha noted..
OOC: Love the change..."Without the light of Landris' finger" lol

OOC: Did Bo happen to hear or smell anything? The roll wasn't high, but still lol
Unfortunately, he did not. He's cute, though.

OOC: Balarouse has an existential crisis.
"Karst, over here." Balarouse calls out, pushing the hidden door open.
"They have hidden rooms in this mansion. Be wary the culprit is clever." She hovers outside the door waiting to let her companion go inside first.

You feel one with the universe, yet not a part of it at all =P
((Wow, I look away from this place for one day and things get busy all of a sudden.))
Like a breaching crocodile, Karst enters through the secret door, sword at the ready as he surveys the scene before him.
