Despite feeling concern over the possibility of attracting unwanted attention, Ulrich nods, figuring this is better than wandering about with no leads on what to do next, and says, "I'll help, then. But is there even any signs of where to begin our search?"
Rheim seemed to relax just the slightest bit. Tiredly she looked toward Tamela and asked, "Will you be willing to house them?"
Tamela dithered, but nodded. "We have some room...a small guest house." She looked over the group. "If they don't mind sharing." She looked down at the quarterstaff in her hand and tightened her grip. "It is the least I could do. For Lenzo."
Rheim paused for a moment, then frowned. She reached out and grasped Tamela's hand, gave it a comforting squeeze, and then jerked her head toward Ember. With a sharp nod Ember motioned for the group to follow her. She led them back toward the stairs, then down to the basement. As they filed down under Ember's almost cold gaze, the group could hear the door to the Immoral Wench suddenly slam open. A soft, silky and somewhat chilling voice rang out just as Ember urged them through a single door at the end of the staircase down into the basement.
"Well, I can't say I didn't expect this to happen some day."
Ember quietly shut the door and pulled the group over to the far wall. She fiddled with a few barrels and came back with ten potions of healing, and two potions of greater healing, as well as ten gold coins.
"We'll pay the rest when Vaen is returned," Ember said shortly. "Now...I trust none of you will mention what I am about to do." She eyed them all, and then turned sharply. With careful motions, but quick, Ember shoved several parts of the stonework in. With a soft rumbling a secret door rolled open. It wasn't quiet and undoubtedly would attract attention. "This will take you to the sewers. Tamela can get you the rest of the way. Go!"
"What was that? Rheim...what are you hiding?"
"Carric--"
"Don't lie to me! I see him there, but where is the little one?"
"Go!" Ember snapped, and once they were through she made sure the passage door slammed shut.
This left the party in darkness, accompanied by the sound of faintly dripping water and a stale, musty smell. The passageway itself was rough-cut stone and barely five feet wide. From what little those without darkvision could see before the door slammed shut the passage seemed to be fairly straightforward. It felt like some sort of old smuggling tunnel--except the walls were oddly well maintained aside from a slightly wet texture and what felt like some sort of mold if one were to touch it. If one were to try and listen they would also note that no sound from the Immoral Wench could be heard within the tunnel; it was as if they were completely cut off from the building. Ahead of the group, left in complete darkness, Tamela grimaced.
"Come on, let's hurry away from this place," Tamela said. Guided by her hand she cautiously lead the group forward.

Brash felt very confined. His shoulders seemed to almost touch the walls. “ can anyone give me a guiding hand or a torch, I can see a damn thing” no way to defend an attack or see it coming. This makes him extremely nervous.

In an odd way, Ulrich finds the tunnel to be comforting after the chaos of this night, the darkness and the confined space almost reminding him of his childhood, when he was unaware of how terrible things would become. Albeit more wet and moldy. Hearing the comments of others and knowing that a number of the group likely can't see in the dark, however, he sighs lightly in disappointment that the darkness of this tunnel will have to be mitigated.
"If danger arises, will it be difficult for you to hold both the torch and a weapon at once?" Ulrich asks, deciding to at least make himself useful to the group by adding, "I'll hold the torch instead, if need be."
Brash turns to Ulrich “Thank you” then turns back to Aquariel “ Let’s get out of this blasted place. I feel like a caged animal” as he begins to start forward.

The walls are cramped, carved out stone and rock, and slightly wet. The ceiling is covered in something like moss, and cautiously Tamela lead the party forward. The ground began to slope almost immediately the further in everyone traveled. Tamela didn't speak, although she did glance back with a grateful smile at the cantrip Quilla cast. For minutes the party crawled forward along the path, although it felt like hours in the dark, cramped space. By now the sounds of water running, and the smell of sewage, began to assault the party's nose and ears. Barely three minutes after the sounds and smells, the tunnel opened up into a drop down. Tamela glanced, grimaced, and dropped down.
"There's an edge here," Tamela said. "It's ten feet wide. The drop is five."
One by one the party dropped down into the sewer, finally out of the cramped tunnel. The sewer is large, larger than one would expect. The ceilings were vaulted and the sewage climbed right up to the edge of the ten foot space that the party now stood upon. The smell was strong, almost overwhelming. Everything seemed tinged in grime and muck that traveled right and left and curved, snaked, twisted off into the darkness. Tamela glanced around and tried to get her bearings.
"I think the exit near the estate is this way," Tamela mumbled and took off to the right.
Minutes passed in long twisted paths of sewage and the sound of water. Little alcoves popped up and vanished into further darkness, and the stream branched off and joined at various intervals. The path was dizzying, confusing and conflicting in it's design. The sewers were almost like a maze of twists and turns and corridors, small rooms that lead to nowhere, and garbage dropped from businesses along with refuse. The minutes grew long, and the pathway colder. It almost seemed as if the breath formed in the air itself, small puffs of warmth in the growing frigid air. The shadows themselves seemed to writhe and twist in the corner of the eye, and wisps seemed to whip about almost like a mist.
Aquariel gritted her teeth and grimaced at the foul smells. Like Brash, she felt confined. She longed to be free to move where she chose, not penned up in these tunnels. The filth of the water in the sewers also troubled her greatly. Water was meant to be pure, free flowing or calming standing in a river or a lake. Not fouled with waste. How could the people of the city above live here, knowing this was beneath her feet?
Aquariel did her best to keep her frustration and unease from showing, but her hair writhed restlessly, bending away from the worst of the waste and the filth.
The smell assaulted his nose. Wanting nothing more then to get out of this disgusting place and never returning. He keeps moving following the torch just hoping it end soon.
