Hey, did anyone else watch this yesterday? I purchased the D&D mug, (been wanting one for ages) and the new Yawning Portal demon t-shirt. I saw they were selling signed copies of the Yawning Portal book as well.
Yesterday was the pre-release for the Yawning Portal. Wizards broadcast on their twitch channel live from Meltdown Comics in Los Angeles. I think it ran for four hours.
The top/bottom of the hour was akin to the Home Shopping network: 3 hosts telling you about the new game book, and if you ordered now from them you could get the book with a book plate signed by many of the people on the Wizards design team. They were also selling other kinds of D&D merchandise (some of which was described as items had previously been only available to Wizards employees). I ended up picking up a Green Devil Dice Bag with D&D dice, an ampersand mug, a Volo cover notebook, and a cloth map of the Tomb of Horrors.
Between the shopping segments, they had four people playing some adventures that were tied into the new book. The adventures were selected randomly by spinning a wheel. Even the characters were randomized, as the players rolled d20s to select the pre-mades they would be using for the afternoon.
Actually, it looks like a recording of the event is still up on the Meltdown Comics website, with many of the products they were selling (not all) still available. Even though it was an official Wizards event, I'm not 100% certain a direct link would be permitted by the forum rules. I trust the site can be found through use of the usual search engines if one was interested. ;)

I watched it a little bit. It was entertaining but very cringe-worthy. :)

Some of the items have sold out, but I believe you can still buy some via the Wizards main page.
I thought it was a funny, clever marketing take on the HSN.

There's a mug?!
There is. Black with the Dragon style "&" in red on it.
