Now that you say that, I remember it >_< Then I'm at a loss, lol. Because, like stated before, I've only seen checks intermittently. It could just be for brevity of the show, since a lot of them cast concentration checks and always take damage (sometime friendly firing into Grogs back[See: Vex'Ahlia] lol) so they would always be rolling checks.

I feel like Vex needs to look into her abilities as a ranger as surely against a single foe she has something better to do than to hit Grog.
Or is it a sneaky way to get back at him for something stupid he did during the day.... Lol
This is purely speculation from what I've seen, but I think their house rule for concentration checks depends how badly they were hit.
Thats not house rules I do not think. concentration checks are either 10, or half the amount of damage taken, whichever is the higher of the two.
But it would be a house rule if that rule doesn't apply until you take 40+ damage or something like that. It would be nice if Matt did post a list of his house rules somewhere.

House rules aside I do believe that Matt just forgets about keeping up with concentration checks as much as is required by the rules. I seem to remember him somewhere saying that he has posted on the inside of his DM screen to remember them specifically (try on the dm tips with mat mercer where he talks about the DM screen). In his defense the players do get hit a bunch, and making a check every single time would slow the game down, especially with some of them having the war caster feat.

When did Vex friendly fire at Grog? The only time I can think of is when [Spoilers Episode 77, Clash at Daxio]
they were fighting at Fort Daxio and she'd been "Control Person"d into shooting her friends by the elf dude. She chose to shoot Grog because she knew he could take the hits.
I'm putting it here ~just in case. But there's been a few fights where he's forced her hand to hit him. In her defense she's not the only one who's done it, she just is more likely to due to her Barrage. He's a tank and always against the enemies, so he's bound to be hit by area spells. I didn't mean to imply that anything nefarious was going on.
P.S. That whole scene was priceless, lol!

And sometimes they attack Grog to keep him in his rage
I remember clearly one time, when they go to the Feywild and finds the camp with a powerful effect which put the victims to dance until death. Vax go to explore and fails the saving throw, so Grog go into rage to save him. Percy must to shoot him to keep his rage because theres no enemies or hostile damage sources.

all good, friend! I was just thinking there was something I'd forgotten in recent episodes. My memory currently only goes back to about episode 50, lol.
Now that I think of it, though, it's been a long while since Vex has used any of her Ranger attack spells. Not since she got the new bow, I think.

That is one of my FAVORITE scenes ever, because everyone's scrambling to figure out what to do and Percy's just like "here's the solution". XD

I'm not sure barrage would always be the best move.
As I continue to watch, it strikes me odd, that Keyleth never takes advantage of the fact she only has to meditate for four hours and doesn't sleep, but remains in a meditative stance, awake.

Care to explain? I would just look it up, but I don't even know where to begin, lol.

It was a error on my part, as I have only watched the early episodes where Keyleth is credited as being an elf. According to VillainTheory, Keyleth is actually a half elf, and thus would not in fact possess the Elf trait of Trance. To explain, an Elf has an ability called Trance, where they do not sleep, but must meditate for four hours each night, remaining Semi-Conscience. If an Elf Character gets this Trance in prior to the Party sleeping, or slightly overlapping with the rest of the party, they can actually remain awake for the entire required time that the other party is asleep (which is six hours. - 8 Hours is required for a long rest, but if I remember correctly only 6 hours of actual sleep is required, you could spend the remaining two hours reading a book or doing something that requires very light work.) Had Keyleth been an Elf she could have remained awake during two watches and would not have been asleep during the first watch, but semi-conscience.
Hey does anyone know when CR will be at wonder con? The G&S site says Friday 31 but their Twitter says April 1? I know they will probably be there both days but which one is their big shindig?

She is a formidable one,” he said when Jarlaxle appeared at his side a moment later. “Dangerous and full of fire,” Jarlaxle agreed. “I might have to kill her.” “I might have to bed her.

Bidet everybody! I have been on-and-off binging CR, I think I'm at episode 60+ now. I suck at completely binging the thing though, I can't do anything too difficult at the same time, cos I'll lose track of what is happening on CR. Does anyone else have the same problem? I binged first up to episode 35-ish, then didn't watch for a couple of months, and over new year's binged up to episode 60-ish. I haven't watched an episode in about three weeks now (#O3O#)
As a relatively new DM (been DM-ing every week for about half a year now), I must say that Matt's way of DM-ing is awe-inspiring. Too bad he's not doing the DM tips videos for G&S anymore..

The day they keep mentioning on the show and on Talks Machina is April 1st. I suspect there will be final confirmation on both shows this week.

I think it's pretty cool that he passed the torch. He picked Satine personally to succeed him, and just as he's learned from other DMs to improve his style, it's great for us to get tips from other people as well to help us improve. I haven't done any DMing yet, but I watched a video from Matt Colville yesterday that had really good info too. I'm excited to see what Satine's got to offer!

Keyleth is incorrectly listed as 'Elven' rather than 'Half-Elf' in the early episodes, thus not actually possessing the Trance racial benefit.
