When this all started, our heroes sought revenge. Five individuals, brought together by fate, standing in the way of the Cult of the Dragon ransacking the town of Greenest. Even when facing down their champion, these warriors stood firm. So onward, to Elturel and Baldur's Gate, Castle Naerytar and onward to the Castle in the Clouds, these adventurers would hunt the Cult to every corner of Toril. Through the Sea of Moving Ice, to the Misty Forest, clearing Xonthal's Tower and reaching the Well of Dragons. Only one thing stands in their way, The True Prime Evil. Tonight, this story ends. With either her death, or theirs.
The return to the Eye of the All-Father was certainly an eventful one. Taking an opportunity to regroup themselves, the party ventured back into the Annam's Temple in search of the answers, and a path in which they would soon follow. It was here, the party was given a choice...and would decide to pursue Kayalithica, the leader of the xenophobic followers of Skoraeus Stonebones. But, before they could leave, they were confronted. A massive blue Wyrm, who's screech echoed through the Temple would emerge, bursting passed the entry, confronting and killing Harshnag, then taking on a new form, transforming into a female Storm Giant. And with a little smirk, the now collapsing is set to implode upon itself.
"Well, here we are once more. The Yawning Portal. I assumed it would only be a matter of time before we wandered back through these doors but...I always assumed it would be under a different circumstance. Things seem to be on part for our usual...trolls running around the city and Trolltide bringing us a little entertainment with the many children stopping by. Troubling fact, the Stone of Gollorr is missing. I had it before I left home but it seems to be misplaced somewhere. I'm going to need to spend a little time searching for it when we get home again." - Kai Gladomain
The Frost Giant's Lair has already proven itself to be a difficult trek for members of the Fey-Team, as they work through, attempting to find the Frost Giant Jarl itself. One after the other, the Frost Giants continue to defend their lair, and one by one, continue to fall at the hands of our adventurers. But the longer this battle continues, the more they use up their abilities to get there. Fatigue is certain to set in before long, and with the inhospitable temperatures of the Stronghold, this Glacial Rift is certain to have a few surprises left for them.
"So we've ventured into the Undermountain. I'm not certain this is the best idea we've ever had, but here we are none the less. It wasn't long before we had to defend ourselves in here. Somehow I feel this is going to be a recurring theme for us here. We're in route to Skullport on behalf of Threestrings, and a woman named Esvele. She's insistent that her family isn't into the slave trades again, but I'm not convinced. I've also began to display some of my prowess with necromancy, and our new Kenku follower has a magical weapon now as well. Seeing that the item was cursed, I suppose it's for the best that it holds onto the item for a little while." - Kai Gladomain
Escape was the only option for our adventurers as Annam's Temple had started to collapse all around them. The Dragon turned Giant escaping deep into the Oracle's chamber below left our adventurers to scramble for the door. A few members would fall, with Caelitis being tossed forward by a rushing Perrith, who's fate would be sealed by the debris surrounding her. The party would attempt all they could, breaking through piece by piece attempting to uncover Perrith, but it was too late. Anger and sadness filled our adventurers as they boarded the airship, a person less than before, in route to Everlund. Here, they would hand over the toy dog to Krowen Valharrow, the Harper Wizard of Moongleam Tower. In turn, he would reward them for their actions, offering an additional form of transportation, and some parting gifts by the time they leave.
Apparently, things have been quiet around Waterdeep. Well, as quiet The party continued their exploration through the first level of Undermountain. Through hallways they explored, finding more paths and even some backsides of hidden doors - one even having a peep hole spying on the Yawning Portal entrance. The party eventually found other living creatures! Unfortunately, they were vampires...kind of. After brief discussion and an eventual fight, the party learned that these "vampires" were bandits called the Undertakers that were fooling new adventurers into giving them coin for safe passage. They were taken care of now though, one of their leaders even sent naked back up the Yawning Portal. The party also found some Grells and, though they put up a fight, were slain like all the rest.
Finally, the cube was theirs, with Tic and Tac fighting valiantly to help our party collect the last of the spears to solve the puzzle of Shagambi's Shrine. Taking the chance to break away, the party went north, exploring more of the buildings surrounding their location within the city. It was here that the party would stumble across a new temple, and the froghemoth which was awaiting them. As battle progressed, a new traveler would join them, one by the name of Andurian Hearthwood, or Andy for short. The party would again fight and succeed against the beast, and find themselves once again alone within the temple.
Civil War is our Homebrew campaign where a rift in the ethereal has connected a small group of islands to the west of Faerun with the planes of Eberron, Irian, and Mabar.
Session 9: Choices
The party would split, some would pursue the assassin and try to track him down and bring him to justice, while the others remained behind, attempting to smooth things over with Ebon Company, while also trying to get information from the last living Emerald Claw soldier they had in front of them. Vivien would sense something familiar, a presence she hasn't felt in a long time. But for the others, the situation was nowhere near as simple. The door would open, staring into darkness, with Celeste and Gjest finding themselves trapped, with the Assassin and their archers threatening to end their lives should they interfere any further.
