I was wondering how this works exactly. Is this something that you need to do in game/with downtime/just subtract the amount of gold for the reagents? I'm in a longer running AL campaign and normally I would do this sort of thing in game, but saw that the AL rules say that mundane equipment breaks down after the session.
I think it's allowed to just mark down that you bought it on your sheet between sessions. That's what I do. I can't seem to find a source for that though. If that was not the case I'm not sure there would be a way to buy these things.
Since you're in a longer campaign it's probably also okay if you would rather roleplay that stuff.
The mundane equipment breakdown I think only applies to non-treasure items that you might acquire through the course of adventuring. It's to prevent people from going Elder Scrolls and taking every NPCs items to sell.
