I am 4th level and want to get to 5th so i can join the next tier games that are starting at my LFGS, so i plan to use 20 downtime days to go up a level (from the 30 downtime days accrued).
My questions are:
1)Do I pay upkeep for those 20 days, and what is the accepted amount (1gp/day?)
2)Do I still get the 75gp you get for going up a level (4th to 5th)
Catching up is listed as a downtime activity in the ALPG for season 8.
Downtime: Catching Up. “Catching Up” is available at 4th, 10th, and 16th level. By spending downtime as follows, your character advances to the next level: Current Level Downtime Cost 4th 25 days 10th 75 days 16th 150 days
The cost to go from 4->5 is 25 days. It no longer lists lifestyle expenses as part of the cost. As far as I know, there is no further cost associated any more since the lifestyle costs are factored into the gold you receive when leveling up. The gold is supposed to represent the net income from gold earned from adventuring less the living expenses.
In addition, you should still receive the monetary reward and in the case of reaching level 5 the amount is 150gp and not 75gp.
