today I played my second time with adventurers League. I have made a character with alot of social skills but so far none of them gets used. I suspect I picked skills all wrong. You who have played in dnd adventurers League more, what skills would you recommend? I have understood that perception is a very much used skill, but what are the most helpfull skills except for that?
Perception, investigation, and one of athletics and acrobatics will be used fairly reliably. Social skills depend a lot on the module and a bit on the table. Knowledge skills could see a lot of use, but will usually be mostly ignored. Survival will see a lot of use if your module involves wilderness and almost none otherwise.
Perception is by far the most common, especially since most DMs don't remember Investigation. Secondarily, yes, Athletics and Acrobatics are way up there: sadly, people don't always know the difference and will let you choose which to use.
