I wonder if D&D Beyond will have have additional resources for AL players. I seen in their trailer video they seem to have a option to check to see or mark that a certain character is AL legal, but I wonder if they include Player Log Sheets and even integrate DM Quests/Rewards into DND Beyond in the campaign management section.
If they are going to provide Adventure League support (and I can't understand why they wouldn't), my guess is that it will show up at the same time as the Character Builder.

Just because you arbitrarily assign some sort of significance to the bodies of your dead doesn't make me not hungry.
In that case I hope it includes a way to limit source material to only the PBB +1 rule and not have open access to all books which can cause confusion.
I have my doubts about any AL support. That part of the game has been largely left to the volunteers that administer it. If WotC couldn't be bothered to better support online AL play with tools in the past, I doubt they will now that they've further reduced support to the game stores and such.
This seems more for Homebrew than AL play. It would be great if I could get a chance to create AL-legal characters, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
In the Adventure League organized play, the log sheet is used to record the adventure you played, experience, gold, renown and magic items gained along with items you purchased, lifestyle costs and any story awards you received for the adventure. Pretty much its a record for you character that the DM if needed can look at to look at to verify information about the character.

Can't you actually limit that now by just disabling the following:
Homebrew Content
Critical Role
Playtest Content
On the first page of the character builder wizard. By disabling these options, doesn't that not just limit content to only official content that is in the PHB. Also, when it comes to choosing a character, you can limit your character selections to only those PC options that are officially from Wizards.
What I would like to see is integration with the AL in respect of being able to create AL characters and then have them join AL Adventures directly from DDB so that all your AL stats and everything are kept in one place, along with your other characters and campaigns.

Honestly, I didn't know that. I thought the whole point of having the options was to select or deselect from where the content was displayed throughout the character builder.
If that's the case, those options seem a bit redundant.

It's not really redundant. Each of those things is for something different.
Playtest content is from the Unearthed Arcana playtest material. It's material produced by Wizards of the Coast for playtesting before it becomes official content in a published sourcebook.
Critical Role content is designed by the Critical Role cast. It's because of a special partnership that they and D&D Beyond have.
Homebrew Content is content designed by the D&D Beyond community.
Then there is all the official published sources, such as Player's Handbook, Monster Manual, Dungeon Master's Guide, Sword Coast Adventurers Guide, Volo's Guide to Monsters, etc. They don't currently have any way to currently toggle these individual official sources.
Source filtering is, I believe, on their short term roadmap. We'll see for certain on their next Developer update.

This doesn't limit you to one book. you can still choose spells and what no from any book. The hard truth is they don't really support AL.
