Hey Guys, whats are the best RP heavy campaigns? Our group is just bad with focussing on combat (both 1 large but also multiple small monsters).
more RP is much better.
ideally the campaign is like 8 sessions-ish long. also ideally the campaign is around lvl 5-6 at the start, because I’m not too experienced with rescaling any combat.
if its a 8 sesh campaign you could always do home-brew (if you're comfortable with it). find these 4 artifacts you need to kill the big bad. fun, classic, and versatile. if you want to up the RP put a few npc's they need to work with/talk to if they want to be time effective.
if you're uncomfortable with home-brew curse of Strad has OK RP but its long.
home-brew is really the way to go if you want a RP heavy campaign.
You can really adjust any campaign to be RP-heavy. Run monsters like they are willing to negotiate instead of bloodthirsty killers, or skip/simplify battles altogether.
RP is driven by you. A module can say here is the situation and here are the NPCs and here is what they want, but it can't do much more than that. It's more about how you present it and how you run it.
