You know how I just had that question about World-Building or campaign playing? Well I think it's about time the DMs of the world had a place where they could dump all the junk that floats around in their heads involving D&D. Have an idea of a world? A puzzle? Need help with one? Why not dump it here, 'cause there's nowhere else to!
Example: I have this idea in my head about "The Place of No Retrieval", which is a spooky temple-ish thing that any one person can only find once in their life, and once an item is tossed into some sort of bottomless pit-thing in the center, it ain't never coming back. Also, to get there players would have to go through a whole bunch of puzzles and/or traps, as well as (of course) fight some monsters!
Sorcerers are mages whose power comes from random fate or an extraplanar entity, such as a powerful elemental like a genie. Sorcerers use Charisma as their spellcasting ability.
Genasi are half-human, half-genie. No genasi have a racial bonus to Charisma.
I think that any genasi should be able to trade their subrace Ability Score Increase for +1 Charisma or their+2 Constitution for +2 Charisma. Not both on the same character, of course; being able to get +3 to one stat is horribly overpowered.

"Did he ever return, no he never returned, and his fate is still unlearned; he may ride forever 'neath the streets of [insert place name here]; he's the man who never returned."
In my personal campaign setting, I have this idea that there are places on the prime material plane where the barrier between planes isn't very strict. some of the lore of my world is that all high elves hail from the feywild but they've built an empire on the prime material plane and then it fell, so old cities from that empire are kind of in a strange place where it's both on the prime material plane but things sometimes operate by the feywild rules (specifically to the time distortion). Makes for great dungeon-delving!
I also like the idea that spellbooks decay over time, that the magics written into them have a finite number of years that they can rest there (something like 1d20 hundred years after the primary owner of the spellbook dies). This is because I've ruled that spellbooks are a finite resource and the books themselves are passed down in the schools of magic. If you want to use that, feel free!
So is the feywild, shadowfell, and blah blah blah. Oh, and tieflings are the original fiends, and the demons are results of extensive genetic manipulation on either drafts or prisoners.

I think this is a cool idea! I have a suggestion though. Instead of stuffing it into one mega thread. Perhaps every Monday/Sunday we post a new "It's Time for DM Idea Sharing Folks Week 7/9-7/16". I have seen that method used well in subreddits and it seems to work well. Just a thought. :)
Favourite problem I have seen (on twitter) was a dungeon where 'common' language could not be spoken or written so then the group is left communicating either in another language (which at best maybe 2 people in a group will share a non-common language). I'd enforce a no speech rule at the table to help represent it and would be so much fun
You see those weekly threads on Reddit because, even if they're really popular, the reddit popularity algorithm will cause the thread to fall off the front page within a week.
With forums, such as these ones at D&D Beyond, as long as people find the thread worth using and posting in, it will continue to have visibility.
It's also much easier to find specific posts if you want to revisit later, as you can search within a single thread. :)

In my setting, Hell is a planet.

Hmmm... That's good... Well, today's Sunday so WHY NOT!?

actually, that would suck. A single mega thread is a lot easier to keep track of.

Reddit and forums work very differently.
