Faelon_Tabaxi: Yes I have play-tested this campaign with one player who is playing with two characters. So far characters have completed the main quest (Meishir's Contract 5/5) but have not joined Redflags or Bonecrushers. I am not experienced GM so campaign has focused heavily on basic combat encounters.
I think that's a great start though. I think trying it with different types of players can help to see if it's widely liked. Some players love combat, some love roleplaying, some love puzzles, and others just love the stories. You got to just cater to your audience. But hey man, you're getting it done. Good for you!
Are there sea trade routes into the island? If so you can introduce pirate & sea creature quests. Plus foreign trade is likely to introduce new and exotic cultures, so that has a potential to introduce trade war and intrigue possibilities.
How are your towns and cities organized; what's the political structure - there's a potential there for political quests. Double down on this if there are enclaves of non-human cultures in your city ( or even humans from differing nations/cultures ).
How about religion? Do all the religions in your world get along? Political, intrigue, combat quests.
If you have a reasonably detailed world, the events can pretty much write themselves: detail all the factions and groups, figure out their goals, figure out their limits, figure out what they'll try to do "next", and whether not they succeed, figure out how other groups will react and how that will change what they do next - pretty soon you have a complex tapestry of actions and events that you can mine for party adventures.
Plus, you can mine all of human history ( including recent events ), and mythology for ideas; you could build an entire complex ( although pretty stereotypical ) adventure out of Beowulf or the Odyssey. It might be a little more challenging to build something out of a less known series of events ( like the Japanese Boshin War ), but that's more likely to be perceived as original by the players.

Thanks for ideas Vedexent your post helped me to realize that I have good amount quest lines already. I just need to decide which one to pick as main quest line.
I'm running a campaign that's going to be centered around my party being a new party joining the adventurer's guild and trying to rank up to the top of the guild. Would love to use some of your ideas for quests to post in the guild for parties to take on. Is there any way to get this on a printer friendly background instead of the yellow ancient map style you have? I am not familiar with that website, so don't know if there's a way or not.
Hi again. I am willing to introduce my updated project. When I started to play D&D about one year ago I was surprised how little amount of campaigns / questbooks were available for free online. This project was inspired by quest book of Heroquest. (Heroquest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmqvVMDW03M) My goal is to build combat focused, easy to run quest book.
Dude, this campaign you designed is amazing! I'm a new DM who has yet to come up with a good original campaign and I don't have the money for the official premade ones. I found Clam Island while looking for inspiration and it's perfect! It's so well designed, seems fun, and is easy to adjust. I'm working with my players to make characters for it and we plan to start playing this weekend. I just want to thank you for all the hard work you put into this project and for making it so accessible. You're a star and keep up the awesome work!
Thanks for these kind words Moussemoose! I have done lot of updates recently so I recommend to download latest version. I really want to hear did your players like Clam Island.
I believe Clam Island is quite close to final version now. I have improved it lately because I am preparing things so that Clam Island and Goldfish Archipelago will work together fine. Clam Island has now two main quest lines that players can choose from. In general I think I have found the structure how I like to make stuff in Homebrewery. I have playtested Clam Island by playing it through as DM for 2 players. If anyone have actually played this campaign I would love to hear some comments from you. A mainquest line for chaotic / evil characters would be nice to add someday.
I am impressed with the content of your Level 1-4 campaign. My only observation is that you implied there would be a map with more detail available to the DM to fill in the blanks as the players traveled over the island, but I did not see this developed map. I'm working on building my own campaign and yours is much further along. However, I am planning on mine going to the end, so it will have an over-arching theme that would see the characters get to level 18-20.
Good luck.

Hi. I just wanted to share my campaign. It is still work in progress. English is not my native language.
I used The Homebrewery to create this.
I recommend to use Chrome browser. Especially if you want to download it as PDF.
My current projects, One click download PDFs:
- Clam Island campaign questbook: https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/By3s5Uqqf (Levels 1-4)
- Frostglade Tundra campaign questbook: https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/SyZ_4eEyKE (Levels 1-4)
- Goldfish Archipelago campaign questbook: https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/-3HajWXM (Sequel to Clam Island, Levels 5-8)
Link: http://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/By3s5Uqqf
Updates 20.5.2018:
- Improved structure of the document. All dungeons are separated to own section.
I am planning to add some exact size for each room of the dungeons but this requires more play testing.

Brilliant. Very very cool, my friend. I'm currently home-brewing my own campaign as well. Have you played this campaign with any players yet?

Hey. I am looking for some quest ideas. Especially I am looking some "big idea" for the main quest line.
I already have:
- Environment: One island with one town and two villages
- Two factions -> Faction war quests
- Some merchants -> Gather stuff quests

Updates 17.10.2018:
- Factions, 2 factions. I also tried with 4 factions but it turned out too complex. Quite simple lawful vs evil setup. (Fist of Law vs Bonecrushers)
- Bonecrushers live outside towns and villages
- 2 Villages changed to non-faction villages: Bonecrusher village renamed to Blackhollow and Redflag village renamed to Whitestrand
- More quests and dungeons
- Map rescaled to "province scale" using hex format
- Improved structure of the document (Location based structure)

Hi Majindro and welcome to dndbeyond forums! (Your first post)
- Anyone can use content from Clam Island campaign as they like in their own projects.
- Unfortunately there is no "printer friendly" version available. You can copy-paste text from browser to notepad to get text only version.
My current projects, One click download PDFs:
- Clam Island campaign questbook: https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/By3s5Uqqf (Levels 1-4)
- Frostglade Tundra campaign questbook: https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/SyZ_4eEyKE (Levels 1-4)
- Goldfish Archipelago campaign questbook: https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/-3HajWXM (Sequel to Clam Island, Levels 5-8)
Unfortunately Homebrewery is down at the moment. I got text "The homebrewery V.0.0.0" and most of the page is black. Hopefully this is fixed soon.
EDIT: It was just temporary problem. Im was using too old browser.
