For the Player Options category, do people think that a monster who removes attack bonuses against themselves would qualify? Basically, the number on the die is the number that you use.
Well, a monster would be a DM Option generally...
As for how to interpret the theme, my take was that it was more intended to be about "in-game" numbers, so as long as there was some in-game lore or explanation for that kind of mechanical manipulation it would fit. Sposta might have a different interpretation though
I have a Warlock subclass concept that may fit the Player Category, but would like some input. Its themed around the plane of Mechanus and has multiple features that draws upon substituting average values in place of values rolled. Would the idea of "averages" fit the numerical theme, or should it be related to a specific number?
To anyone wondering if their idea for the PC/Player Options category meets the criteria, this is my opinion on the subject.

Hmmm, although I think my subclass could fulfill that "occult significance/relationship" theme, focusing on 'averages' rather than distinct numbers probably misses the mark. Ill toy with other ideas

I don’t know. I mean the various drones of Mechanus were originally designed off of a standard set of six. Maybe the averages are sacred numbers to them?

Those who have long studied the mathematics of the world have run into a discrepancy in the higher numbers that cannot be explained in our current line of integers. It is hard for our minds to even grasp such a number and how it effects its surroundings. Knowledge of this number can be forcibly spoken into the minds of those around through magical means. Any creature that can hear you within 15 foot of you, excluding yourself, must succeed on an intelligence saving throw or take 2d12 psychic damage and become cursed with knowledge. On a success the creature takes half damage and is not cursed.
A creature cursed with knowledge of the missing number rolls a d8 at the start of its turn and substracts this number from the first d20 roll it makes during that round of combat. A creature cursed with knowledge can use its bonus action to try to forget the number and make another Intelligence saving throw. On a success, the spell ends on the target.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d12 for each slot level above 3rd.
Available for: Bard, Cleric and Wizard
I'd love some feedback on this one, because I'm not to sure on the power scaling, please let me know if it would be better to change around some of the numbers like the damage or spell level or something.

Not bad. I think if you increased the damage and the amount the roll gets reduced by then instead of scaling the damage per slot level you could scale the number of targets by 1 for every 2 slot levels and that might be more interesting. I think it’s interesting that you chose to reduce the roll by 1d8. In Asian cultures 8 is considered to be the luckiest number there is. 4 is considered to be really really unlucky though. If you wanted to make the spell really really wallop the target with bad luck you could make them reduce their first d20 roll every round by 4d4 instead. So maybe 4d8 or 3d12 for damage and reduce their roll by 4d4 and then have it affect an extra target for every 2 slot levels could be cool. At that point you’d probably have to simplify the spell a little though to make it easier on the DM. Maybe have the caster roll the 4d4 only once and use that result as the reduction every round for all targets just to keep things simpler.

You have extensive knowledge about tropes in media, and have learned how to exploit them based on the principle trope of Truth In Folklore, realizing that ultimately, Reality Is Unrealistic. You gain the following benefits:
All Myths are True. Whenever you make an ability check to recall a piece of folklore or legend, you can add half your proficiency bonus to the roll. You add this bonus even if you can already add your proficiency bonus to the roll, but not if you can already add twice your proficiency bonus.
Rule of Three. Whenever you affect or target a given creature for the third time in an hour-long period (such as with attacks, spells, or abilities), you can choose to deal psychic damage to that creature equal to 3 times your proficiency bonus. A given creature can only be damaged by this trait once before it finishes a long rest.
Million-to-One Chance. When you or a creature within 5 feet of you that can hear you makes a roll with disadvantage, you can use your reaction to remove that disadvantage and instead grant the roll advantage, informing the creature that a one in a million shot is always a sure thing. You can take this reaction once, and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest.

In combat, you can use your mathematical knowledge to determine angles and attack from them, and determine chances to attack again. You must skip a turn and spend it studying your surroundings (No bonus actions or reactions, concentration spells are automatically broken) but after that, you get 5 number points. You can use these number points for two things, giving yourself a bonus action (If you already have one, you get another one.) Or giving yourself advantage on the next attack. (If you already have advantage, like rogue sneak attack, this does not apply.) You can only give yourself number points once per short rest.

My initial thought on the Rule of Three part is that it'll almost never come up. Any combat that lasts more than a couple rounds is probably doing so because the enemy is avoiding your effects, and I'm having a hard time thinking of non-combat situations where you're hitting the same creature with the same spell or effect three times in the same day. Unless you just want to be a dick and deal damage to the barbarian that you've had to heal up yet again...

Well, here are my initial thoughts:
There’s no TV in D&D.
There’s no such thing as a “skill check” in 5e, that’s just an informal colloquial term players use, but officially it would be something more like “Whenever you make an ability check to recall a piece of folklore or legend you gain a bonus to the check equal to half your proficiency bonus (rounded down). You gain this bonus even if you can already add your proficiency bonus to the check, but not if you can add twice your proficiency bonus.”
This should probably be less restrictive. Anton’s right about how unlikely one is to have this pop off. Maybe make it something like the third time you target the same creature within a minute or something.
The phrasing my needs work overall. For example, phrasing like “once per long rest“ is how DDB shorthands stuff for snippets, but it’s not the kind of language WotC uses. Instead they would write “Once you have used this reaction you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.”
Revised my entry in accordance with the critiques. Hopefully this will be more balanced. Also… I can see multiple ways a combat can last longer than 3 rounds. Finally, here’s TVTropes. Take a look around for some context
To anyone wondering if their idea for the PC/Player Options category meets the criteria, this is my opinion on the subject.

Personally, I think the given definition for “numerology” is extremely restrictive, and it would be better defined for our purposes as function derived from specific numbers (not any particular numbers, of course). For example, my submission uses the Rule of Three, a comedic trope in media, to create a special effect. Keeping it tethered to the occult could agonize a lot of creative ideas.

Just so long as there's some sort of tie to a superstition or something along those lines, even if it's just a couple lines of lore, I think it would probably be fine. It might be easiest to think of 'numerology' as astrology, but for numbers instead of stars

The issue is that Numerology does have a definition, so you are restricted to a degree. The submission has to include occult and numbers, which puts you into a specific category. Numbers or occult by itself would be fine, but it's difficult to make something original from the others with it. And compared to the other categories, which are extremely broad, it feels better to be more of a numbers theme - similar to maybe how divination works, and also includes Numerology in the category. It's a fun idea, just not something with very many options or room for creativity.
