First, a feat granted to the party War Cleric due to the completion of a contract with Asmodeus: Baator-Blessed.
Next, a magic sword intended for the party's dual-wielding Arcane Trickster Rogue: Infernal Cleaver
Finally, a vestige armor given to a player's new character (their old one died), an Oath of the Ancients Paladin: Dawnharvest

Lol I forgot that people actually make homebrew for campaigns they're actively playing. I'm one of those twisted perverts that does it for fun without intending to use it.
Interesting! One question. The second feature of the 9th-level ability doesn't seem to do much. Unless it only imposes disadvantage on opportunity attacks, a creature will generally not be attacking unless they have started their first turn of combat, right?
Maybe the wording needs work. Intention is that creatures have disadvantage to hit the rogue until the start of the creature's second turn. I.e. disadvantage on their first turn. Defensive spin on the rogue assassin's first round advantage.
During their first turn, they haven't completed a turn in combat yet - that happens at the end of the turn. Therefore attacks during that first turn have disadvantage.

So I think it might be time for a new CotFB tradition, if you're all interested.
When I created the interactive category theme, I had an idea in mind. But I didn't want to mention it because a) I can't compete in the category I created and b) I could imagine my post dissuading others from submitting a similar concept. So I propose that the folks who created the categories can, at the end of the round, post a brew (fully baked or otherwise) for their own category. It would obviously be optional and just for fun, and wouldn't affect the scoring or anything. But it might be fun to see some context for the themes chosen and the intent behind them. Thoughts?

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. I think it might suffice to say that creatures have disadvantage on attacks against the rogue on the first round of combat. In 5.24, there is no ambiguity around surprise, so it should achieve the desired effect without causing confusion.
It's mostly that I run an entire westmarch-like setting game with a bounty quest system with 5 guest DMs and over 20 players, so I don't have much time to spend on dnd which isnt directly prep XD

Rogue class feature variant for an drow rogue who has no reason to be versed in the secret dialect of surface-dwelling thieves.
Drow Hand Sign
This feature replaces Thieves’ Cant.
You are trained to communicate silently by sight or by touch, even in total darkness. Only another creature that knows drow hand sign understands such messages. By sight, you can communicate with another creature who speaks drow hand sign with a series of intricate gestures. Within 60 feet, you can communicate at the same speed as speaking plainly. Within 120 feet, you can only communicate simple ideas and instructions. You can also sign by touch provided you and the creature you are communicating with have both hands free, but it takes four times longer to convey such a message than it does to sign by sight.
In addition, you understand the related tactile alphabet of raised dots and lines called drayal which can be stamped into parchment, carved in stone, or indicated with sticks and stones. This alphabet is used in drow territories to convey short messages such as distances and directions, warnings of traps or dangerous creatures, and to pass simple information from one patrol to another. Although drayal can be conveyed through sound, it is rarely used this way due to the confusion of echoes and the likelihood of attracting unwanted attention.

I'm always doing homebrew in my head. Some I've published but many just tend to stay unfinished for one reason or another. Like I almost finished making a Rashemaar Berserker subclass for all non caster classes with many identical features between them but also class-specific features, and a Wychlaran for the sorcerer and cleric classes, with synergy bonuses for having at least one berserker and wychlaran in a party. But then I noticed there's a new Rashemen sourcebook coming up with similar subclasses and just sort of ditched the whole idea. Now the current subclass homebrew I'm working on is a barbarian skald. I'm a bit underwhelmed with the College of Valor "skalds" and wanted to try making a more Viking-style skald, and giving the barbarian class a way to steer toward support by giving different kinds of rage bonuses to the party instead of themselves.. A niche idea, but it's a fun project so far. I mean, a barbarian with Charisma bonuses, what's there not to like? :P
