Hi so im playing a arcane trickster rogue. For me, I'm an artificer at heart and love making and designing magic items. My boyfriend is in this game and our characters get a long pretty well, and we have a downtime week to spend. currently we are level 3, and I wanted to craft a magical item for his character (A divine soul Sorcerer that swears they are a cleric) as a token of appreciation. I'm not looking to make anything that give "+1 to attack rolls" or any in game mechanic for combat. its more of something cute, that I can work with.
How about an ivory pendant of your character infused with the silent image spell? When activated, project the image of your character following the guidelines of the spell.
Well, in one of my games i run a tinkering wizard, and one the "inventions" that he made as a small little clockwork toy soldier... and it functioned similarly to a tiny servant, but at the size of tiny and I was only able to community to it within 60 feet. It mostly just acted as something that would help my character doing his research, or to send small and light items a short distance.
How about a helmet with a visor that, when the visor goes down over the wearer's eyes, plays an upbeat trumpet tune like the theme of the Canadian mountee from Rocky and Bullwinkle? Or for a more contemporary feel, the theme from the Incredibles?
This fine silken glove bears arcane symbols stitched into its palm. At will, the wearer may reach up and slap the air above their head. If they do, the glove briefly manifests a spectral Mage Hand apparition which slaps back, allowing the user to high-five himself at any time he feels he deserves a high five.
Magic Clothes. With a mere command, the wearer can cause his clothes to be adjusted, dress him, or disrobe him. Don't tell him that you can also command his clothes.
"That's right, priest. I could have gotten you out of your pants, any time I wanted..."
How about long roll of scroll that reads "Bless this House" which your bf's character can attach to houses via a special apply-water-to-stick enchantment?
