Triäsa holds Ludolf's gaze, staring back with her dark, chocolate-colored eyes. "Well, good sir, whether it be enlightenment or mere lunacy I will leave to your learned mind. You certainly seem better aquainted with the subject than this little girl."
She gives him a bright smile. "I would love to travel the planes someday. Whether you will take me... well, only time knows."
Finally breaking the older man's stare, she picks up her empty water glass and goes to drink from it. She glances at Daventry, chuckling a bit. "Ah yes, where is that wine?"
"So your runes - did you say where you found those?" Triäsa seems eager to shift the conversation.
"'Spose it wouldn't hurt to have ya take a look as well. When Fembris returns that parchment, you can certainly try your hand at figurin 'em out."
Daventry takes a drink, her mug half-emptied. She looks to Triäsa.
"Nah, I didn't. Way out in Moonshae, there's this archipelago to the north. Korinn, I think it's called. Followed a rumor I heard and a map I acquired, found a little cache buried on one of the islands there -- had that spellbook I gave the monks and another, covered in those runes. Whatever they are, they aren't dwarf or elfen. But they're something special."
Oh time is just a mortals narrow perception of change young one, but our fates are indeed intertwined Ludolf thinks, letting Triäsa go, for now.
"It will be my genuine pleasure."Ludolf says to Daventry "Korinn you say. It is rumoured that one of the flying cities of the Netheril empire landed in the waters of the archipelago. Perhaps the spellbook is in Loross and then the runes would be draconic."Ludolf goes on wondering aloud.
Nodding to Daventry's story, Triäsa listens intently. "Oh, that sounds like a fun adventure. Wait though... you gave away your only copy of the runes?" She seems shocked, almost as though you had given away your child.
"What´s to know about tracing? Having the right tools even you could do it Klin." Ludolf says to the seemingly carefree monk. "What´s impressive is that she got accepted by submitting a simple tracing."
"Nah, was the other spellbook that got me in. That was elfen, had a few spells and some crazy scribblings from some long-dead elf mage. The tracing, that's what I gave to Fembris to hopefully find some answers."
Daventry shifts around, using a hand to quickly feel something through her pack. "The runic book, that's stayed with me."
As you continue your conversation your server returns to the table carrying the wine. A second maid carries the plates of food you have ordered. As your server approaches the table she seems to stumble out of nowhere, dramatically flailing toward your table and toward Ludolf where her entire carafe spills on top of him.
"My lord I am so very sorry but this humble barmaid does tend to be on the clumsy side. Please I beg for your forgiveness."She says. (feel free to roll insight though she is not trying veryhardtohideherintention)
"Thankfully, I have brought a second serving of wine with the food just in case this very thing happened." With that they place the food and drink on your table along with a few rags which are more or less clean.

Triäsa tries hard to suppress her grin as she watches the wine spill. She stands to step over toward Ludlow, sliding into a position that puts her between him and the barmaid.
"Here sir, let me be of assistance." She briefly sings something in a soft whisper, almost inaudible, as she moves her hand in front of the old man to cast Prestidigitation. It takes a few moments to completely render his garments clean.
"There. Although, the red was a lovely color on you."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ludolf drenched in wine does not flinch and does not care whether or not it was intentional, but glances over at the barmaid, the grey piercing eyes briefly looking into hers. "There is no escape from the madness of the voooiiid" resonates eerily in the barmaids feeble mind. (Awakened mind, Intimidation:13 to give her a fair scare he reasons).
As Triäsa cleans him Ludolf listen melancholically. "Please Triäsa, let me hear more of your wonderful voice." He says pleadingly as she finishes.
@Klin --You look over the runes and realize.... you have no idea what they are....
The barkeep stumbles again and falls backwards a second time, however, this time it seems a bit more sincere as she lets out a scared whimper hitting the ground. She hurriedly scrambles on her backside away from the table. You all find it much more difficult to get service the rest of the night, in fact, to order more drinks or food you find yourselves having to walk to the bar to order and pick up. Your empty plates and bowls sit still on the table long after you finish.

Daventry looks a bit cagey and defensive at Ludolf's request, and relieved by the distraction by the waitress.
If pressed again, she refuses. "It stays with me, under lock and key. The thing damn near killed me the first time I touched it. You'll have to wait for Fembris."
Triäsa gives Ludolf a brief look, tilting her head as though considering his pleading. "I do not really sing. I mean, I do... for music is how I manipulate magic, and signing is easier at times... The lute is really my instrument though."
She retreats back to her chair, filling her glass with wine. "Perhaps I could play something later."
She then looks over to Daventry. "I could take a look too, if you want. I do know a spell for reading any language. I think it's unlikely to work, but if the runes truly are a part of some language it might."
She then starts to take a few small bites of her food.

"Well let´s see then young Daventry." Ludolf says, clearly eager to study the runic book.

She resumes sipping her wine, her attention now focused on the monk.
