At the last possible moment, Hogshead hears Bree's shout and drops his hammer lower, bringing it across the skeleton's legs and reducing it to ash and bone.
He steps in and brings the hammer down and across, smashing into the blinded treeling, dust and twigs bursting from the rotted carcass.
SUMMARY AND ACTION
One Treeling is left standing. Hogshead give me a Con save DC 12.
Hogshead feels a tickle in the back of his throat as he inhales the dust and detritus from the exploding Twig Blight, the small slivers of rotted wood attempting to take hold inside the dwarves' throat and lungs. A coughing spell and a generous amount of mucus knock the offending bits loose before they do any damage.

Jane moves up to the blinded tree thing, muttering some arcane words that smell of nature and enhance her staff. As soon as she gets within range she uses one hand to strike at it with her quarterstaff, keeping her shield ready for any retaliation with the other.
Bonus action: cast Shillelagh
Action: Attack 25 for potentially 8 magical Bludgeoning damage

Jane steps forward, her staff quivering with the force and power of nature itself. The cleric's sweeping strike smashes through the strange tree-ling, the force of the blow alone enough to shatter and scatter the rotted material into dust.
Bree glides forward and consolidates with the rest of the party near the crumpled bones of the skeletons and the small dust cloud that remains where the tree-lings once stood. She holds an arrow knocked and ready on her bow, carefully scanning the three entrances to see if anyone or anything responds to the brief battle. (ready action, attack on first hostile creature who appears, stealth 24)

Rantel, seeing the danger posed by the rotted trees, uses his bonfire creation to try to cleanse the stuff via easily contained inferno. He looks around as well, seeing Bree still on alert.

"So that was weird. Y'all wanna keep going? I don't think it's going to get easier so try to stay behind me. Remember that when I die, make sure to strip my body for valuables. Some of this garbage is worth something." Hoghead moves to the southeast door and listens to see if he can hear anything on the other side. Perception 18

Jane coughs and clears her throat as Rantel's bonfire burns away the floating flotsam in the air where the treelings once stood. As Hogshead moves towards the SE door, Bree holds up a closed fist and nods her head in the direction of the natural opening.
'Keep it quiet, I saw something in the shadows in there, but I don't think it's heard us yet'
Listening at the SE door, Hogheads hears a throbbing, pulsing sound. Almost as if he can hear a heartbeat and breathing. He freezes for a moment before realizing it's his own pounding heart he hears echoing back at him.
The small Rogue drops her arrow and slides up to the door, pushing the hulking warrior out of the way. 'Help me out you oaf' Investigation from Bree 10
Confident the door is safe, the halfling opens it to reveal a long hallway leading into the darkness. Smooth polished stone covers the floor, ceilings, and walls. Those of you with dark vision see Intricately worked marble with inlays depicting scenes of Dragons attacking a village, sleeping on their hoards, and flying majestically over mountains.
The hallway runs for at least 60 feet straight ahead with no other notable features.
SUMMARY AND ACTION
Pausing here for any action, rolls or reaction. I'm botting Bree, but trying to run her as a Rogue/Scout for your crew.
You have 60+ ft hallway ahead of you, something in the cave system behind you, and a door to the NE you could explore. The room is empty of threats as of this moment.
"Well there's no sense hanging around here if they might already know we're coming. Are there any traps in the passage? I'll help you look Bree." Jane moves cautiously down the hallway trying to keep an eye out for traps in an attempt to Help Bree do the same.
