Frangipani dives into the extremely cold water and looks around. She doesn’t see anything of note except for the fact the bottom is beyond visible range. It is very deep and very dark. Easily more than 100’
Just like home...but with less sharks...she started swimming downwards into the dark....

( how far are you going?)
( 50' to start)
At 50’ you can see that much deeper down a bit of light bleeding into the darkness. From your aquatic upbringing you are able to estimate it to be about 150’ to the source of the light.
"Knowing there's this body of water here, I'm surprised they excavated below. Wouldn't it be at risk of flooding the lower level?"
Bjorn looks around the walls to see if more sconces have been installed. If they are, he lights them with the torch.
There are no sconces in this area as it is rough cut. Looking about you can see this cavern is natural and must have been tapped into when they were mining for the gems you found earlier.

Light........thats weird...it should be pitch black down there...she kept swimming down...she concentrated for a moment and traced her hand through the water freezing it into shape....as she descended the word ' WAIT' formed out of ice began to float up to the surface...

OOC: Shape Water Cantrip.
As you swim closer towards the light you can see that it is an opening into another cavern and that the water continues for an indeterminate amount of distance. Not far from the entrance you see seven glowing, jelly fish like orbs slowly moving about in a trace amount of current. heading closer to about 50’ from the caverns entrance you can see the water on the other side has strange and delightful colored currents shifting through it at random intervals.
3 of the glowing jelly creatures sense your bio-electric signature and slowly move in your direction
Vars shifts uncomfortably, "I don't like this. We should have given her a rope or something...though I suppose she can swim back faster then we could pull her up, but still, if something attacks her down there we can't exactly help out." When the word 'wait' floats up to the surface Vars says, "Well, at least we still have contact with her."
"Yeah, I agree, but she seems to know what she is doing and if anyone is comfortable in the water, she is. She ate her siblings!" Sparhawk smiles at Vars, a bit uneasy, "maybe she found something interesting down there."
Moving towards instead of away from an unknown creature......likely predators.....
She began swimming upwards, checking her pursuers as she did...
( Dash Action if they seem intent on following).
Perception to try and see what they look like exactly:16
Nature to identify:15
As you focus on the critters you can see they are translucent balls between 6 and 8" in diameter. They seem to be soft skinned. They are surrounded by a viscous material that extends about another inch from them. They emit a phosphorescent light, like some deep sea creatures you are familiar with. Your knowledge of waterborne animal life doesn't include these fellas. They seem maybe of magic creation or from another plane

Eberk looks around the chamber, looking for anything that may be of interest or anything dangerous.

“I’m trying to figure out why this area is connected to the Dwarven structure.” Sparhawk looks at his companions. “Maybe source of water?”
"That would be my thought," Vars nods. "If its freshwater, it makes sense for them to make use of it."
"Knowing there's this body of water here, I'm surprised they excavated below. Wouldn't it be at risk of flooding the lower level?"
Bjorn looks around the walls to see if more sconces have been installed. If they are, he lights them with the torch.
"She can breath underwater....right?" Sparhawk says to his friends.

(thats cool!), Sparhawk sees bubbles floating to the surface. "Hey, does that say something or am I going crazy?"
"Hah! Clever."
Bjorn shifts Aegweth back into a bow in case something attacks from outside his reach from the water's edge.
"I can see no reason why she'd lie about living in the ocean. She can breathe, sure."
“Amazing!”
“keep sharp. Must be deeper than we think”

Frangipani kept swimming to the surface....at least she had news and suspicions to report...
((Anything else in the chamber that isn’t in the water?))
