"So this doorway is actually a mural painted on the wall." Sparhawk gets more excited. "Perhaps this is like the painting in Abarnaths that teleports to a different destination! With the teleportation wall down the hall, this mural here, this place has been made larger than it seems. I'm not even sure this main hall is in the cave area, it feels like I'm in a giant bag of holding.
Lets all look around at the plain walls here, and even the hallway leading to the teleportation area for any illusions, false walls, and the like."
(Maybe have everyone do investigation or perception, maybe guidance from Frangipani to help us out, while poking around the walls with the pole, looking for other paintings and also walls that actually are not walls, Reginalds detect magic?, up to Dwar here)
“Hum, I wonder if the key opens up this room to the dining area?” He keeps looking near the stoves for a key hole.
( your not able to access the kitchen)
the doorway from the kitchen into the aquarium only worked one direction, from inside the room there is only the door at the other end, the statues, the dais and the aquarium.
The colored currents within the water shimmer and dance on the walls of this chamber, casting strange shadows from the fish as they pass by. You poke the walls with the pole, but do not discover anything but the sound of tile and stone
"Hum, before we go through that door, as we don't know where it goes, look for a painted or hidden key hole." Sparhawk looks at Frangipani and Lir, I'm wondering about what you think about swimming into the aquarium and swimming up. I have a sneaking suspicion that it will bring you to the lake in the cave." He looks at the group and starts searching. "Thoughts."
"Vars, lets take a look at that map of yours, it may be more useful than we thought. I think there is probably a way back, we have a key, we have a map. Now we need to use or brains."

"These fish, the water, it's a performance, unnatural."
Lir looks up at the suspended body of water. Then begins to charge.
(Lir intends to wildshape into a reef shark to gobble down the fish - party has an opportunity to tackle him before he makes it).
Vars pulls out the map and unrolls it, holding it low so that everyone can see. "You hoping to find something in particular?" Vars asks, having looked over the map several times already.
Still holding the map out, he scans the area again. "I'm not sure we want to risk using the teleportation door, as we don't know where we will end up or if we can come back. The last thing we need is to get stranded somewhere far away when we have jobs that need finishing here." He pauses, then slowly turns his gaze towards Reginald's owl. "...You can resummon your familiar if it dies right? And you can communicate with it efficiently correct? What if you sent the owl through? ...if it can't get back you could always resummon it. And once its back, whether through resummoning or through the portal it could give us an idea of what is on the other side." He really doesn't know anything about how familiars work, but he making guesses based on previous observations.
Vars glances at Lir, then rolls his eyes as the elf begins to charge. He really doesn't care if he jumps into the water...so long as he doesn't break anything and land them all in an unwelcome situation.
"I can only view and listen through its eyes and ears if it is within 100 feet of me." Reginald considers for a moment, "But I can send it back to its pocket dimension at any distance, then have it reappear within 30' of me, no matter the distance." He then nods to himself with a smile. "We can at least determine if there is danger on the other side if I'm unable to bring him back from the pocket dimension. It will just mean I will have to spend an hour resummoning him if that's the case. Othewise I'll leave him there for 5 minutes, bring him back... it will let us know, by touching him, if it's wet, hot or cold, ecetera..."
"Vars, I like how you think." Sparhawk notices the crazed look in Lirs eyes as he advances on the water. His mind works quickly in combat situations, and he considers whether to grapple the little strange fellow or let him do as he wishes. Justice and balance he thinks, Lir is here to restore balance. He lets Lir continue, his destiny in his own hands.
"Ok, Reginald, lets try your owl while we look at this map and see if a solution presents itself."
(If Lirs stunt allows for it and Reginald/ Vars haven’t discovered anything)
“Humor me Frangipani, let’s take a few pinches of pepper and sprinkle it over this map”
Frangipani sprinkles pepper as instructed she keeps an eye on Lir with a bemused expression, " Still want me to go in there or should we let him explore?"
She seemingly has no opinion on the aquarium negative or positive.
“Vars, some maps have hidden stuff on them, invisible ink, activated by the moon, the sun, water, heat.” Sparhawk looks at him, “perhaps we try a few things to see if there is anything we don’t see.”
“I see a key, a door, a star, a sword, two towns, and I’m looking for a huge nose perhaps and spoon. “
(Assuming shark Lir is not being attacked)”up to you Frangipani, I’m wondering if there is a top to this fish tank and if somehow the cave lake is connected. If you swim in it, would you be able to recognize if it seem to feel like the cave water?”
Trying to solve this strange situation, Sparhawk comes up with another idea. “Hum, at a fair when I was young, I remember looking through a looking glass and seeing images.” He pulls out the multicolored key, “I wonder…”
Sparhawk holds the key and starts looking through the multi colored gems. He will twist it clockwise, counter clockwise as he looks through the gems at the map

Roll your attack, if successful, roll 1d8 to see how many fish you scoop up in your maw

The pepper settles onto the map, creating dark speckles over its surface. Otherwise, no changes

All you can see is the light bouncing of the facets of the crystals

" Lets find out."
She followed Lir in, swimming up.
Once Frangipani enters the water, she can see Lir shark enjoying himself chasing the fish. She can see that the water goes up for a long, long ways and can sense there is a good chance it connects. See can see the colored currents undulating through the water at various distances and can this water is teeming with life. At the limit if her vision she can see a dark shape in the water at about 200' or so. Cant tell what shape or any details. Just a dark splotch in the water at this distance. Doesn't seem to be moving at all
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
While his companions are in the water, Sparhawk continues to search for a servants passage (Way for servants to get in and out). "Reginald or Bjorn, try opening that door without going through. Whats on the other side?"
Vars shakes the pepper off the map, grumbling a little as he does, "I've looked at this while outside at night, so I doubt moonlight has anything to do with it. ...Wait, do any of you magic users have the ability to detect magic? Wouldn't that be a more direct way of seeing whether or not this thing has enchantments on it?" He looks from Sparhawk to Reginald, then to Frangipani...he ignores Lir as the elf is currently swimming around and eating fish. But when Frangipani too jumps into the water, he rolls his eyes and looks back to Sparhawk again. "If by sword you mean this (he points at the cutlass on the compass rose) that and the hook are the compass rose. Perhaps there is symbolism there but they aren't marking anything other then the directions. As for a spoon and a... nose. I don't think there would be extra markers considering we found both those things here. If we can't detect magic on the map I think it best that we simply continue our investigation of the area around us. Perhaps answers will present themselves."
