The bolt hits the wounded beast in her rear, penetrating deeply and eliciting a loud yelp of pain from her! Despite her blooshot eyes, her wolf seems to have lost much of its boldness.
Zentromya in the meantime takes flight, hovering over Bloodshot Eyes Wolf and White Spot Wolf, then blows air through her trunk, creating a loud trumpet sound and a cone of sparkles that envelops the two beasts.
The two large animals react to the sparks as if they were burning them and whimper pitifully... after which, Bloodshot Eyes Wolf collapses to the ground, burned to death, while White Spot Wolf, with his fur singed in several places, raises the miniature glod -furred winged she-elephant a look full of impotent hatred.
Kunnari, unarmed, simply looks around in fear as he remains on the cart and Aedion, obedient to Mom Aidwyn's recommendations, soars, taking himself out of danger.
Round 2
A new round begins: Roxana, Rash, Spira and Aidwyn are up, any order!
"Little buddy... gonna need your help here. Distract that wolf over there!" Rash tells his familiar (owl familiar flying over to take the help by distracting White Spot Wolf, then flying to safety with the Flyby trait)
Rash looks at White Spot Wolf and raises his hand. A ray of frost shoots from his finger towards the injured beast!
Attack: 7 or 17 (with advantage from the familiar); Damage: 5 (cold), wolf's speed is reduced by 10ft
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
White Spot Wolf (BW1), who had already experienced with Zentromya how treacherous and dangerous small flying creatures can be, keeps an eye on Rash's familiar... and for this reason the half-orc wizard hits it squarely with his ray of frost while it is not paying attention to him! Her fur partially protects the beast, but the unpleasant sensation of sudden freezing makes it jump, further undermining its resolution.
In the meantime, Anita has reloaded her light crossbow and is aiming it at the same target: "These beasts are really impressive... You sure know how to avoid a woman getting bored, Rash!"
White Spot Wolf (BW1), made more cautious by heat and cold burns, dashes to the side as the ex-Zhentarim is pulling the trigger and the bolt passes by it, embedding itself in a trunk.
""BACK, damned wolf!," Spira shouts in the face of the wolf attacking her. Backing her horse as much as she can, she covers its ears while she unleashes the peal of thunder she meant for the middle of the clearing right in the face of wolf#1 (thaumaturgy). Quickly reassessing the rest of her plan, she draws her mace and rides around to the back of the cart. "Do you think it will be dark enough soon to let Balfby out?," she calls to Aidwyn, holding her mace where she can use it to either fight or knock the catch loose that holds the yeth hound in.
White Spot Wolf (BW1), who has already had abundant tastes of supernatural attacks, seems to take the peal of thunder by Spira very seriously and hangs back, hesitant, missing the opportunity to attack her.
[[ OOC: As for whether or not there's enough darkness to free Balfby... it depends on how sensitive the she-Yeth Hound actually is to sunlight. The forest is dense, so shade is plentiful. However, it is winter, so the non-evergreen trees are bare and some light filters through. If Balfby needs to be completely overshadowed, she can't do it, as big as she is... but if she only needs to be largely overshadowed, then she can do it. The point is, Aidwyn probably doesn't know Balfby well enough to know the answer. Up to the young heroine whether to try to order the she-Yeth Hound out or not... ]]
Roxana draws another arrow with her bow and this time fires it at the White Spot Wolf (BW1). (Shortbow Attack: 11, Damage: 8 + 8 sneak attack, from Zentromya within 5 ft)
After firing, she directs her horse to move to the east (as far as it will go), trying to not get too far away from the rest of the group, especially Gaer.
The young heroine, after having deflected the enemy's teeth with her magical shield, Amazon's Guardian, uses her shield again to try to make Fat Belly Wolf lose his balance (BW5). The new Dawnknight then tries to stab the wolf with a swift thrust of her sword.
Fat Belly Wolf is at the mercy of the Dawnknight's technical superiority, which manages to unbalance him and forces him to roll away badly, to avoid being impaled by the tip of the sword, a tip that still manages to inflict a graze wound on his back.
Enraged, the beast gets up and attacks the valiant warrior again, hoping to assert its superior size.
Aidwyn manages not to be overwhelmed, planting her feet firmly in the stirrups and managing to angle her torso, but is affected by the mass of the heavy beast, which hits her with all its weight. It will probably remain a bruise, under the armor...
Foul Smelling Wolf (BW4) and Mud Dirty Wolf (BW3) meanwhile, overcome their initial reluctance and join the fray.
Foul Smelling Wolf (BW4) lunges at Rash, landing on him at the end of a prodigious leap and attempting to bite his calf.
Mud Dirty Wolf (BW3) instead approaches the wagon and, perhaps imagining he will find easy prey, sticks his snout inside, under the awning...
Foul Smelling Wolf (BW4) is less athletic than it thinks and its jaws click - its jump is just a hair too short.
Meanwhile, in response to Mud Dirty Wolf's (BW3) attempted intrusion under the awning, Kunnari's terrified cry is heard... and, immediately afterwards, Balfby's blood-curdling howl! Even the perfectly trained Sharnshield horses have a moment of fear and uncertainty, as the unearthly cry spreads pure terror across the battlefield.
