After keeping Master Akkron company during his rest, Khessa is happy to help in the kitchen... even though she admits to being a terrible cook. She tries to compensate with supernatural aids for any repetitive cooking tasks.
Once the rest is over for all, the blonde arcane warrior's proposal is always the same: notify the authorities of the success, then proceed towards the Troll Gods to use this new further success to the party's advantage in dissuading the Trolls from joining the wrong faction.
Clarac sleeps somewhere inside the castle while Wetherbee joins Vrox outside and takes a shift of the night watch.
Vrox is happy to be done with the fighting and the terrible sights of the massacred civilians, the hideous demons, and their twisted followers. If the castle's well is spoiled for some reason, Vrox can create fresh water for the meal. After dinner, Vrox plays his pan flute out on the third floor battlements until the sun sets and the moon is visible in the sky. Performance26 As always, bees seem to find him quickly, and he's soon surrounded by their quiet drone.
Vrox welcomes Wetherbee up on the battlements and talks to him respectfully in sylvan. He finds and finds comfort in the pegasus's presence. (Some of the fey lords and ladies ride pegasi, and he always loves to see them soaring through the sky.) Since Vrox escaped the day's fighting unscathed, he's happy to take the first watch. As night falls and the shadows lengthen, Vrox's magical tattoo seems to pull the darkness around him. Once the sun sets, Vrox is practically invisible as he slowly walks the battlements and keeps watch, shield in hand.
Vrox wakes Wetherbee for second watch. Based on years of experience in the wars against the Unseelie Court, Vrox checks his gear and arranges everything so that it's convenient and near at hand before he goes to sleep in case anything attacks in the night. If they make it through to the morning without incident, Vrox wakes with a fresh wreath of clovers on his head. After breakfast, he's ready to head back to Queen's castle in Elania and then head with the party to...."We're still planning to head next to Eldamar to speak with the elves on our way northward?"
[[OOC: Sorry, not trying to enforce "traditional matriarchal roles" on Khessa. Maybe I read too much into proficiency in cook's utensils on Khessa's sheet.]]
[[ OOC: Oh, no problem. I probably choose those tools because I failed to spot the most approptiate ones for a farmer, but I imagine Khessa as not too good at cooking... so that she, at least in that, does not surclassato me! 😉 This must have come out already early in the campaign, but it was before you joined, so Vrox could not know.
And I thought of Trolls only because I forgot the path decided together earlier - but of course that path is still pretty fine by me. ]]
"I already admitted that I am a woman more of action than of wisdom..." Khessa smiles "The path we choose together is fine by me. Let's hope the Elves at least are all right".
There are enough supplies and spices in the kitchen to make a decent meal. You also find traveling rations that you can use to restock your needs. The food replenishes your strength and energy, and you feel revitalized.
[[OOC: I guess we should all mark off a Long Rest?]]
If nothing else happens, I guess the group will pack up and leave the castle in the morning. Unless Sparhawk or one of the others who is more familiar with Veldos recommends a different route, Vrox can lead the party out through the gatehouses and back to the big battlefield from yesterday. Crossing through that field, he would head back the way that they came, through the burned out town and back to the spot where Flute initially brought them.
Khessa smiles, happy that this area has been cleared of evil influences, and when she arrives at the spot where Flute initially brought them all, she looks around for a while, almost expecting the child-goddess she finds increasingly sympathetic to appear again to greet them.
If that doesn't happen, the blonde arcane warrior still settles for imagining herself winking at her: 'Mission accomplished once again, Flute... The Nefarious Duo didn't succeed by cheating! And we'll make sure that it won't be enough next times as well'.
You all repack and remount your horses and leave the now abandoned castle. The two soul surviving boys found backpacks, loaded up on food and equipped themselves with short swords and oversized helmets, stating "We're heading to my Da's place another valley over, I think I am done doing the page business, maybe become an adventurer like you all."
You cross the bridge into the opening where you had your first action, when a great wind begins to swirl up, and the ground begins to shake. In a quick moment, the sky turns into a grey mass of clouds, and a vertical slit appears before you, and the figure of Azash steps through, placing himself between you and the valley.
"I have had all I can stand with you pesky humans! Rules be damned, I will be victorious and I will add your skulls to my throne!
You feel the overwhelming power of the Blood God, its anger and hatred all focused on you. Make a Wisdom save vs. Fear due to the hatred being projected towards you
Khessa has with her the silver icon for the chapel's deity depicting a cleric kneeling in supplication - she, as well as anyone within 30 feet of her, is under the effect of a Protection From Evil And Good spell against fiends and the undead.
Does Azash count as a fiend? If so, he should not be able to frighten us at all.

Before sending the boys off, Vrox reaches into his Rust Bag of Tricks, pulls out a ball covered in short white wiry fur, and tosses it on the ground. As soon as it lands, a sparkling mist swirls around it for a moment, and when the mist disappears, there's a white goat in its place. Vrox tells the boys, "Thank you again for your help yesterday. This buck will travel with you until you reach your father's place. He can help you carry your things and defend you if you encounter trouble. You showed great cleverness in surviving the attack on the castle. That bodes well for your future adventures! Fare well, and may the Good People watch over you!"

[[OOC: Vrox has advantage on saves vs. being frightened from the Beguiling Twist feature: The magic of the Feywild guards your mind. You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.]]

Since Vrox is normally scouting ahead whenever the party is traveling, he's almost certainly more than 30 ft. ahead of the group when Azash appears. In fact, he may actually be on the other side of Azash from the rest of the party.
[[OOC: Minor beneficial property of Annam's Greataxe: immunity to being frightened. I'm not sure whether we're jumping right to the moment after Azash appears or whether Tyek can enter a rage before that.]]
Tyekanik dismounts his great draft horse as soon as the sky darkens. He wields Annam's Greataxe. Seeing Azash appear on this plane fills Tyek with rage. He gestures with the greataxe toward Azash and roars, "The champion of Annam All-Father does not fear any foe! Go back to the Abyss, demon, or I will send you there myself!"
Bonus Action: rage, imbuing Annam's Greataxe as his Elemental Cleaver with thunder damage.

Lord Akkron's Wis save: 26 (
15, 26. I'm assuming this is considered a magical effect)Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Provide feedback!

But if he is, this is Khessa's Saving Throw: 4
Unsing Indomitable feat (from Fighter) to reroll that save. New one is: 17
Also, at dawn Lord Akkron's Staff of Power regained 15 spent charges (rolled in game log). So, it's back up to full power.
