The merchant examines the items with interest, studying them with a well-trained eye of one who has spent a long time in this business.
"You have some interesting wares indeed, young lady," he says with a smile. "Let's see... the boots are not the most useful thing I have ever seen... but certainly an interesting novelty item. I think 20 gold would be a reasonable purchase price. The candle and lantern could both be quite useful to the right person, so I will pay 25 for each of them. Now, your gemstone is the most interesting item to me... the fact that it can only be used once before its magic is depleted I find rather unfortunate, but even so I'm willing to offer 150 gold for it."

Delvindra stares out into the swirling mists with wide eyes.
"That's where we're going? How? Do you walk on it? Swim? Fly,"at the last thought her tail begins to swish excitedly behind her and she turns a hopeful look to Duwamilly.
"I admit that, despite my nickname 'Planerunner', I have never visited the Ethereal Plane before, Delvindar, honey... So, I guess we will find out how to move there by experimenting. Perhaps," the ex-preceptor becomes thoughtful "lacking a real 'up' and 'down', laws similar to those of the Astral Plane apply... where one does not fall, but floats freely, instead, moved by one's own thoughts".
Yasmina would play reluctant but finally shake on it. She suggests to the others the newly acquired 310 gp would be kept as a fund for anyone who finds anything useful at the market. As she can't think of anything she needs right now, Yasmina too is now ready to proceed.
"Oh, and one more thing..."The red-haired half-elf turns and asks the draconic merchant. "...we just arrived and we are interested in exploring the outer areas of your city. Is there anything we should know before we venture forth?" She asks with a pleasant smile.
"Ah yes... travelling beyond the city is rather difficult, and can be dangerous as well," the merchant says. "I would personally recommend using a ship to traverse the ethereal expanse... and you happen to be in luck, because I, Yordeal Naziros, would be more than happy to rent one out to distinguished travelers like yourselves!"
The merchant offers to take you to what is essentially a dock, where he can show you several strange vehicles tethered to the landmass and floating in the ethereal expanse...
There are ships of varying sizes (and price tags) which the merchant can rent out by the hour. The smallest/cheapest of these vessels can be rented out for a mere 50 gold per hour.
The red-haired half-elf gladly comes along as she and the others are taken to the dock, her amber eyes going wide with excitement again as she looks over all the strange vehicles tethered to the landmass and floating in the ethereal expanse. It is clear she is ready to pay Yordeal Naziros for renting the suggested vessel, using part of the gold for the items she just sold him, but she looks around to the other accursed for their opnions first.
“It looks perfect!” Duwamilly jumps, excited, at the sight of the ship "Will you explain to us how to operate it?" her brown eyes turn, glittering with excitement, to the merchant. "Or is it too difficult and does the rent include a crew to man it?"
"Is it equipped with weapons to defend from enemy attacks?" Planerunner continues to express her curiosities "Why is traveling outside the city dangerous? Are there pirates in the Ethereal Plane? What happens if one falls overboard? Does one float in place? Or can one be able to move? And how do you do it? Is there a technique for swimming, like in the sea?"
Finally, the ex-preceptor remembers the incomprehensible limitation of non-gnome creatures, who struggle to converse (and answer any questions) until the interlocutor stops doing so. Sighing, she falls silent, submitting once again to this absurd blatant failing of the rest of the Multiverse...
It takes Yasmina only the most cursory glance at Delvindra's awestruck face to know that the Tiefling can't wait to go exploring...first the vessels and then the expanse beyond the city.
The merchant smiles at Duwamilly's string of questions.
"For your convenience, the ship happens to come with a pilot who can steer it wherever you want in the mists... I would personally suggest visiting one of the dead gods; there are few things more fascinating to see than the mortal remains of a supposedly immortal being! As to weapons... this model isn't heavily armed, but it does include a cannon, just as a precaution."
Smiling at the idea of testing the cannon against a certain scamp he knows, Duwamilly exclaims: "Oh, it's seems perfect to me! Which direction should we take to reach the nearest dead god? And does anyone know what his name was, by any chance?" anyway, she seems ready to go at that very moment...
"Don't worry, your pilot knows where to find one if you're interested," Yordeal says with a smile. "As to its name... well... if we knew its name then it wouldn't be a dead god. See, gods only die when they've been forgotten by we mere mortals. Ironic, isn't it? All that power, and it turns out that all it takes to kill one is for us to forget about it..."

Regardless of how much her attitude may have changed there's no hiding Delvindra's disgust at the thought of a god, even a dead one, being used as a sightseeing destination. Doing her best to push down her revulsion and trying not to contemplate all of the implications of deific mortality, she boards the vessel with a significantly reduced enthusiasm.
Yasmina had seen some remarkable inventions back in the caliphate but this amazing place and these astonishing vessels had her quite excited, eager to just board the ship or whatever it would be called and go for a spin. She glances over at the tiefling at the mention of the dead gods. Gods had done little to impress the red-haired half-elf and as far as she was concerned most of them should be forgotten about, but she understands there are others who need guidance and reassurance and purpose in their life, and needed a god to give them all of that. "So, should we get going then?" She says a bit tentatively, stepping closer to the tiefling.
"Of course! Let's go!" Duwamilly runs on board. She can't wait to reach this dead god... not so much out of morbid curiosity, but because she suspects that some of the power that will multiply the Wish's potential could very well come from the residual power of the dead gods.
"Who knows if with Speak with Dead it would be possible to ask some Dead God their name..." the ex-preceptor muses aloud "And then they wouldn't be dead anymore, from what the merchant said. But first, perhaps it would be better to ask them if they are good or evil... I wouldn't like to bring an evil god back to life..."
The red-haired half-elf grins at the gnome's musings. She doubted dead gods were dead in the same sense that mortals were, but she wouldn't bring down the gnome's experimental excitement. Instead she motions for the tiefling and the brooding boys to follow them aboard.
Delvindra boards the vessel. Duwamilly's enthusiastic curiosity rankles her but she she's soothed, as always, by the Half-Elf's outward nonchalance. Just another adventure. "No different than seeing the ocean for the first time or robbing a dragon's lair," she thinks to herself with a wry smile while unconsciously scratching at her tattoo.
If everyone is in agreement (albeit reluctantly, in Delvindra's case), you begin your journey through the Ethereal Plane, towards the remains of some unfortunate, forgotten deity.
The ethereal mists swirl around your ship, which bobs slightly in some kind of mystical 'current.' Lights dance in the distance... perhaps other cities like the Citadel? Or are they perhaps stars of some kind? It is impossible to say as you try to peer through the rolling mists that surround your ship. But soon, you begin to feel something in the air... power like a low electrical current running through your bodies, which gets stronger as you approach a massive figure floating in the mists...
The ancient corpse floats through the ethereal expanse, its arms outstretched as if trying desperately to grab onto something... its mouth forever hanging open in a silent scream. But though this god is dead, you can still feel the echoes of divine power in the air around it, which only grow stronger the closer you are to the corpse.
"It may be unadvisable to draw too close,"your mechanical pilot says dispassionately.
Duwamilly is a little skeptical at the sight of the Dead God... Agreed, they are big... Agreed their power can be perceived even from the ship, from that distance... But this is really enough to make a God? Aren't Demon Lords and Arch Devils big and powerful too? The eternal silent cry of the colossal figure makes it look more like a castaway of exceptional proportions than a god... Duwamilly believes in Garl especially for the love between them... A spiritual love, that's granted, but stil love. She loves what Garl embodies and Garl loves Duwamilly's peculiarities. The sheer size and power alone... impress her, but do not inspire awe (or love) in her.
Anyway, the gnome cleric decides to put the God to the test: if they still have a lot of residual power, perhaps they even have a glimmer of conscience and if they have a glimmer of conscience, perhaps they also have a shred of sense of humor left... "Hey, divine being out there..." she tries to call "You know what does a god call his nose? God knows".
If the deity shows no signs of amusement, the ex-preceptor sighs: "Alright Kids, let's get busy! Zander, write the exact text of the Wish I have to formulate, so I'll proceed". She also helps the intelligent warrior in the formulation, trying to involve all the other Accursed as well. Then, when the Wish is ready... she formulates it, in the exact form in which it is written.
[[ OOC: @DM: We decided that the wish was prepared by Zander because her character is the smartest in the party. I assume that all of us Accursed help him, giving him Advantage, in case some proof is needed. If not, if no proof is necessary... Duwamilly recites the Wish and transfers the Curses to the Toy designated by her. I don't know to what extent we want to role-play this... Do we have to produce the exact formulation of the desire? Or do we assume that the characters manage to formulate the wish correctly? ]]

(Okay, it sounds like Mina's going to be trying to sell the boots of false tracks, the candle of the deep, the lantern of revealing, and the elemental gem (emerald)... the circlet of blasting was, unfortunately, lost when Godrick got banished).

...and Yasmina's charms work like, well, a charm yet again.
The merchant is willing to haggle up to 30 gp for the boots, 40 gp each for the candle and lantern, and as much as 200 for the elemental gem.

Noticing Yasmina bargaining, Duwamilly stealthily invokes her beloved Garl Glittergold's help upon her and steps forward for good measure, reeling off bursts of words on the incredible pasts of those magical objects and citing the countless (invented) occasions in which he saw them being decisive ("The legendary boots of false tracks with which the hero Gimble 'Koboldprankster' Murnig managed to save his life! Pursued by an entire tribe of angry Kobolds, he managed to confuse them by changing the tracks he left in the mud into Kobold tracks..." "Incredible! One of the candles of the deep so dear to the wizard Maryanne of the Oceanic Trench! Since she accepted that job as head of magic for the High Lord of the Loctah 'for a change of environment', she is willing to trade the most expensive pearls in order to obtain them..." and so on)
