“Vah’Lhorn, come on, get out of there!  Let’s go through this north passage.”

As Val'Lhorn moves about the bottomof the pit, Yuri stays tense, watching the creature. One hand moves to the rope, ready to spring into action hauling his companion out.  The other feels for his crossbow, should it become necessary.

((Sorry guys, had a busy few days with work, and thought I had already put in a reply to this))

Vah'Lhorn smiles at the tension from the creature... Knowing the fight is imminent, he checks his axe is free as he moves forward to the chest "What could one such as you need with treasures?" To Yuri, Vah'Lhorn shouts "there is a chest here help me haul it out.

Hearing Vah'Lhorn, Yuri lets his hand drop from near his crossbow and grip the rope with his other. Scrambling down the drop to the bottom of the pit.

"Okay, maybe we tie the rope off on one side, and heave it out from the other?"

"That was exactly my thought"

Letting Vah'Lhorn deal with rope attached to his waist, Yuri moves to the side of the chest. Reaching for the handle, he pulls on it, testing the weight of the chest before setting it down again.

Vah'Lhorn ties the rope to the chest, as securely as he is able, using the handles and trying to encompass the whole chest ((depending on dimensions)). He whispers to Yuri "Keep an eye out for the creature, he believes this to be his treasure."

This creature is going to attack if you try taking the chest. Do you still want to try taking it? 

((Vah'Lhorn will... I will give Yuri a chance to sway this, but it will need to be a very persuasive argument to stop Vah'Lhorn. Plus a fight just gets it over with and Vah'Lhorn can start finding another evil to harp on about ;-) ))

Yuri and Van'Lhorn begin to yank on the chest handles, trying to move it out of the hiding hole. 

Group 1 is up! 

“Ok, well, here we go.”

Morpetor finds the beast and begins to wave hand over an orb in a circular manner.  The orb begins to glow brightly with a green light. Suddenly his hand shoots forward, and a green shimmering arrow shoots at the monster (acid arrow).

Attack: 12 Acid Damage: 9

Morpetor then finds cover behind the natural columns in the cavern.

(looks like a miss, so he gets half the damage and no secondary damage)

No sooner than Vah'Lhorn finishes speaking than a flash of green light strikes towards the creature. A shocked expression comes across his face "The chest belongs to that thing?..."

Yuri draws his longsword and shield, stepping in front of Vah'Lhorn. He readies an attack action should the creature try to engage either him or Vah'Lhorn.

Attack: 13 Damage: 11

The creature will take half damage (4) as the acid splashes on his hide. Yuri readies an attack against the creature. The creature lunges from the cavern hole and rushes Vah'Lhorn. Yuri's blade glances off the creature as he takes his position next to Yuri and Vah'Lhorn. The creature will claw twice at Vah'Lhorn. 

Attack: 6 Damage: 8

Second Attack: 6 Damage: 9

Group 3 is up!

Gramgran will cast Sacred Flame (DC 13 Dex save) at the creature. 2 Radiant Damage

As the creature charges towards him, faster than he was expecting, Vah'Lhorn casts a Hex on the creature. As it passes Yuri, and claws at Vah'Lhorn, he raises his sheild to fend off the blows, before retaliating with his axe. Battle is joined, and Vah'Lhorn holds his position against the beast.

Bonus Action: Hex (Disadvantage on DEX checks)
Action: Attack: 18 Damage: 7 slashing (Hex damage: 3 necrotic)

In his mind, Vah'Lhorn taunts the creature "You have brought doom upon yourself..."

Kim looks at the situations and prepares herself. Ice forming over her hands. She studies the creature and takes aim. She will hold her action until the creature finally makes contact with an ally.

The creature will avoid most of the sacred flame damage (3).

Vah'Lhorn's attack will connect with the beast, cutting into him.

Action held. Go ahead and roll an attack if that's what you wish to do.
