As you sense no more approaching threat, you return to your place to rest. You can hear the goblins still working on something, but no goblin comes into your direction from inside the mine. The shift changes to Aeros as the morning draws near, and nothing come close to the cavern.
Finally the dawn is here and all of you are refreshed back to full strength. You re now ready to leave the cave for now.
Who's going to lead the travel back home? Please make a survival check.
OOC: Double crit fail on survival!! We are so dead! (honestly I'm laughing pretty hard right now!) I think the gods are punishing you for not letting Aeros roll, would have gotten at least a 4 :-)

You, together with Tanicum family and the Zhentarim agent, travel under Chenna's direction for hours but haven't managed to find the swamp's edge. At this time, you can feel something or someone lurks following you.
After few more hours, you managed to find the way to the marsh's exit. Then, from thick vegetation in front of you a 10-feet tall, hulking figure with green skin and long arms intercepts your route (Those who knows history or from around here knows that this is a Troll). It speaks loudly in giant, then speak in common to you.
Aeros will walk up and state (hopefully confidently) "hello Groll, we do seek to pass, what form of payment do you seek? We already encountered a group of goblins lead by a hobgoblin and then a group of lizardfolk, so we are not entirley certain of what we could pay you but we are open to try to barter"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Handy quickly palms a gold from his pouch to make sure it isn't obvious that he has more (sleight of hand: 21) and starts speaking with Groll, "Groll I love your name, I have been a little more lucky than these folks I have a this leftover gold." He holds it up in the most enticing way. "I offer it to you with all my luck and best wishes. Is there anything we can do for you?" Handy offers the gold in a wide open palm with a big smile and waits for the trolls response (persuasion: 20)
Handy begins to move slowly with the group following Chenna, but concentrates and gets ready to cast fire bolt if the troll decides it is not satisfied and tries to attack.
(Sorry guys, let's just ready action when combat is going)

"If humans pay no full toll, then Groll and Droll will take everything!"
Another Troll appears from tall trees about 50 feet behind you, moving into the party's direction. There's about 100 feet from you stand into the marsh exit.
The two Troll prepares to strikes - roll initiative!

Waft will lend his help to any of his team confident enough to lead a large number of people back to civilization.

Ooc, nah we probly gona get a swamp encounter that we blundered into. Like quicksand or a monsters hunting trap. Should be fun.
Lol oh my god. Anyone speak Giant here?
(I’ve got us covered if we need to calm down any angry elementals, but no Giant.)
(It appears my luck is finally cursing this adventure. I’ve managed to roll a 3 for ability scores before.)

Groll looks at Handy letting a coin out for few seconds and blurts:
"Ha! Humans poor! Groll take it!"
Groll extends his arm to take Handy's gold.
"Coins done! Give Groll one human now!"
It also spoke another sentence in Giant.

"That was a good one!" Chenna laughs out loud pointing at the troll. "A human! HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAA!!"
Wheezing with laughter now, hands on knees... "A HUMAN! HAHAHA..."
"Ok, that really was a good one. Have a nice day now!"
And Chenna starts to usher the people forward.
