(The roll didn't work for some reason. I'll just go ahead and roll for you so we can move on. WIS save: 6)
Flynt, you can feel the aboleth's mind attempting to penetrate into yours, and for a moment you have a fleeting thought that maybe you've had it all wrong; that the aboleth is the one you should be helping, not these mere mortals. But your mind is able to expel the insane notion, and you return to your senses... just in time to be attacked by the goblin barbarian standing next to you, whose mind was evidently not so strong.
Attack 1: 12 Damage: 6
Attack 2: 17 Damage: 9
The aboleth then strikes out at Squiggles with its tail (legendary action #2)
Attack: 25 Damage: 17
but, evidently frustrated from its failed attempt to acquire a new slave, misses badly despite the wizard's poor defenses.
(OOC: I just realized that since I have the Shortsword of Vengeance, I need to make a Wisdom Save whenever I take damage. If I fail, I have to attack the creature that hit me until it or I reach 0)
WIS: 15
For a moment, Flynt thinks he and the abeloth could have been good friends and made an animal sanctuary before he regains his senses. Before he can react, he feels the slice of the goblins' axe.
He stares at the goblin and draws his swords. "I'm sorry, friend" and attacks him.
Flynt assaults Brix with a flurry of shortsword blows. The first one grazes the goblin's tough hide, but does no damage. The other two glance harmlessly off of his shield.
I just noticed that not only did you take a cursed weapon on purpose, you also took a fighting style that forces the curse to come into play. I guess you like a challenge!

Squiggles makes a gesture and and incantation, causing three more Squiggleses to appear! Backing away and climbing up onto solid ground, he then directs the giant spectral hand to punch at the aboleth, but it just punches water.
The aboleth takes another tail swipe at Balian (legendary action #3)
Attack: 27 Damage: 11
again somehow managing to make contact despite the thief's best efforts to dodge the expected blow.
Again doing his best to dodge the tentacles coming his way, Balian manages to avoid a head-on collision with one, although it still manages to graze him (reaction - uncanny dodge, only 9 damage taken from aboleth's last attack).
Deciding that his bath-time is over, the thief splashes out of the water (Disengage as bonus action, move to V6). He draws his bow, shaking the water off it, while drawing an equally wet arrow. Nocking the arrow, he aims at the water, waiting for the aboleth to show itself (Ready an attack for if/when any part of the aboleth appears above the water).
As Brix is about to attack Flynt, Jarl causes a ring of spores to surround him. This time he is unable to resist as the spores enter his lungs, causing him to retch violently (3 necrotic damage). Although the damage is minor, with the injuries he had already sustained, this causes him to collapse on the ground, unconscious.
Flynt, take those HP back, since Brix collapsed before he could attack you. You can also do something else with your turn, since I assume you wouldn't attack him once he was unconscious.
Balian, just keep in mind that taking a readied action uses your reaction, so you would not be able to use uncanny dodge until your next turn if you do wind up firing at the aboleth (you're fine on the last uncanny dodge, since you get your reaction back at the start of your turn). You can however still use uncanny dodge if the condition to attack is never triggered or you decide not to take the attack.
Flynt's arrows is impeded by the water, the first splashing and drifting away harmlessly. The second makes contact but is moving too slowly to pierce the aboleth's hide.
Shale rushes over to the rope and then calls upon his goddess to heal the wounds of Squiggles. The cleric then wraps his arm around the rope to brace for another potential wave.
(Move to W13, BA Healing Word (1st level) 8 - Blessed Healer gives 3 HP to Shale, Action use rope.)
No sooner does Shale begin to brace himself for the wave than the water surges once again from the pools covering the stone and then rapidly receding pulling you in once again.
Need another STR save from everyone except Shale and Celric (Celric, I've got you still hanging on the rope just above Flynt, since you can't occupy the same space). Flynt, roll with advantage since you're right at the rope.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
His efforts to grab the rope fall short, and Flynt is swept into the water, alongside Jarl. Balian, too, having just managed to get out, is pulled back in (all three are prone).
Meanwhile, Squiggles the Strong, as they used to call him in wizarding school (presumably ironically), somehow manages to hold fast to the stone and resist the tide.
The aboleth, having managed to reel in two new victims and one old one, strikes out at each of them with a tentacle.
