OoC: Dr. A., I think Prayer of Healing is counterproductive here, since we have hit dice to roll... Or are you/Timber out? Unless hit dice are depleted, I think the bigger concern is not getting spell slots back, (and --- the reason we needed a rest in the 1st place --- swapping spell preps so we can get to the lava island) so I wouldn't suggest making that situation worse by spending two on healing now.
(OOC two
Dr A retcons his post and just makes a pot of tea - Dr A has 11 spell slots left (4x1, 3x2, 3x3 &1x4). Hit Dice rolled 7, 5, 9, 8, 6, 3
Timber you need to roll hit die - hopefully you do better than Dr A.)

Sounds good.
Timber will need to roll more hit dice since the healing prayers didn't happen.
Kirinar pulls Keyleth aside as they are preparing to leave. "How are you? Seems like that poison was pretty rough on you..." Kirinar asks with genuine empathy before turning away from everyone else and lowering his voice so that only Keyleth could hear.
"Look, I may be wrong, but we found nothing on Bag of Nails, and all we have is Artus' word about what happened. Could it have been HIM who poisoned you, and killed Bag of Nails in the middle of the night to cover his tracks? All I'm saying is, we should keep an eye on him. Just in case..."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Keyleth whispers back to Kirinar:
"Artus?" she gets a perplexed look on her face. "I suppose I've been wrong about people before, but I've not gotten any hint of deception from him since he joined us. Whereas Bag of Nails first tried to kill us, then when we overpowered him, fed us stew. Certainly fits that there might have been something in it; I thought so at the time and was careful to wait until he tried some before I ate any... but he did, so I figured it was ok. When I saw him lying there, I half expected that he'd poisoned himself too --- as out of touch with reality as he was, he may not have had much left to live for. But you're right, it can't hurt to keep an eye on Artus, just in case."
Keyleth weighs Artus's words, and looks at him for a moment in the way she does when trying to figure out if she's being deceived...
Keyleth watches Artus as he makes his way around the room, getting his gear ready for the day and helping with breakfast.
You see nothing that would indicate that he has been deceitful re the night's events and you recall that he also ate the stew. You also recall that you have traveled with him for quite some time now and he has been a faithful companion.
"Alright, everyone ready? We've got a bridge to make and a grung to find," Keyleth says, once everyone has had a chance to recover a bit from the poison. "To the lava?"
OOC: Unfortunately, its how i assigned the stats based around his backstory. But feeling the brunt of it now. If we hadn't leveled up, I wouldn't have survived hahaha.
You make your way back to the edge of the lava that is closest to the shrine. Artus explains that he can create a Dimension Door and take one of you along to the other side. From there you can throw ropes across to each other and secure them and then the rest can cross.
This is quickly done and short time later the rope is strung across the gap and you all stand on the island now and face the shrine.
Palm trees grow in front of this squat building, and worn steps ascend to an archway that forms the entrance. Reliefs of coiled serpents flank the entrance. Approaching the stairs you can see the walls of this rubble-strewn corridor are carved with serpents, and arrow slits are spaced along them every 5 feet. Cobwebs fill the arrow slits and hang like drapes from the corridor ceiling. Above the entrance, a stone plaque bears a cuneiform message.
"Nice work getting across the lava...now we only need to face arrows and monsters!" He moves ahead of the group, using his shield to help protect himself and his partners.
As you make your way down the hallway Keyleth notices a few things.
Along the floor there seem to be trap doors but they do not spring as Kirinar steps on them.
In the middle of the end room (6c), a stone cube rests on a plain stone pedestal. Statues of twelve tribal warriors jut from the surrounding walls, aiming bows at the pedestal. The floor in front of the pedestal bears a mosaic depicting a monstrous serpent constricting a furious monkey. Moss obscures much of the detail.
Keyleth also finds 2 secret doors that lead to 6d and 6e
6D. Western Secret Room A statue of a coiled serpent dominates this web-filled room. The statue is missing its head, which lies broken on the floor next to a stone cube.
6E. Eastern Secret Room A large statue of a coiled serpent dominates this web-filled room. Clutched in the statue’s jaws is a stone cube.
"Secrets hide the truth...and we have two secret doors and a moss-covered picture. Three stone cubes - two of them probably spring horrendous traps. I wonder if they are all the same one? I bet they are!" He will carefully look at each of the cubes to see if they bear the same depiction.
"I wonder if we can clear the moss away from the mosaic picture without dying? I'd like to see the whole picture..." he says next.
Kirinar clears the moss away and Dr A is able to read an inscription found on it.
“Death rewards a thief deceived. Truth comes from the serpent’s mouth.”
You also now notice that another inscription encircles the floor and tells the story of how Moa upheld the truth to Ubtao and betrayed Wongo’s trust.
That night, a su-monster broke into Ubtao’s palace and stole a pail of water for the Omuans. When the god came running to find it, the su-monster hid the pail in a jaculi’s burrow. Ubtao asked the jungle animals where his water was hidden, and Moa the jaculi was too honest to lie. When Wongo the su-monster found out how Moa had betrayed him, he vowed to catch the jaculi and eat him up.
“Death rewards a thief deceived. Truth comes from the serpent’s mouth.”
Dr A looks at the inscription and thinks "ahbut Kirinar is right, this is obviously telling us that one or more of three cubes is not the one we seek and if we were to take the wrong one - well let's just sat the consequences may be less than pleasant. It woild seem that we need to have a close look at the cube still in the serpent's mouth. Keyleth could you perhaps have a good look at the cube still being held in the serpent's mouth?"
Inspecting the statue Keyleth sees nothing special and so reaches out and takes the cube out of the jaws. A moment later nothing has happened and she surmises she has chosen the correct cube.
When Keyleth remains alive and unharmed after snatching the cube from the serpent's jaws, Kirinar finds that he had been holding his breath. "Now I know how she felt when I pulled the same stunt earlier!" he thinks to himself.
Aloud, he says, "Nice job, Keyleth! I knew you'd figure this out! Where to next? And how are we gonna get off this stupid lava-bound island?"

Looking at each cube they all look identical.

OoC: Oh, damn, I just checked on this to discover that I was the one holding things up... Sorry about that, all...
Keyleth nods to Dr. A, and leans in toward the cube in the serpent's mouth, squinting to examine its fine details (without touching it).
