Fjolnir takes his supplies and lends a hand to Absinthe's brewing. "Some of the old Dwarven brewers used ta use the same busted up wooden spoons to stir in their mash... and the Mountain Dwarves spit in their casks first before lagering them. Probably why flatlanders tend to wreck their knickers the first night they have it!" he laughs heartily.
(Everybody make sure you mark your individual monies spent and earned, and update your XP as per this post)
Everyone add more money from selling off stuff: 100gp, 10sp, 15cp each
Your total character XP should be 970 at this point.
Dirk: The Townmaster replies, "The Redbrands are gone? Dead or run off? You're sure?" Once he gets confirmation from you, he falls to his knees and starts crying. "Thank you! Thank you! I couldn't do anything! They had this town under their control, anything I did would be met with worse! They killed and kidnapped, they were serious! I- I- Thank you." He stands up and tries to compose himself. "Everyone in town able-bodied enough to fight against them got recruited by them. We were in a bad place. Now maybe things will start getting back to normal around here. Come, I'll buy you and your friends some drinks. It's the least I can do." You feel like this man is a legitimate coward. A mess of a man who let the Redbrands run rampant because he has no balls. He probably actually thought there was nothing to be done.
Hyimr: You take a couple hours to scribe Charm Person into your spellbook. (Make sure you subtract the 50gp if you haven't already) You spend the rest of the afternoon and early evening asking the people you've met in town so far who might have a blank spellbook you could buy. You eventually track down a private citizen that used to practice evocation, back in the day, and has a spare book he never used. You trade Glasstaff's book for it, and he ecstatically rifles through it trying to decipher the tome and seeing how the magic words have changed over the years. He's happy he has something to do for a while.
Az Emberi: You get day drunk. You have the Poisoned condition until morning.
Absinthe and Fjolnir: You set up your equipment and get to brewin', after tracking down some decent supplies at Barthen's. (Each of you subtract 2 gp) Using your barrel to catch the brew, you manage to craft enough to fill the barrel entirely. (40 gallons of ale. 40. Gallons. Of ale. Dude, this math is stupid. You'd pay 2sp for one gallon, so you can make it for 1sp. So 10 gallons costs 1gp to make. Since you're both doing it you only need to supply 2gp each to fill your barrel. Let me know if you'd like to purchase another barrel, because you could fill that one too.) Proud of your accomplishment, Absinthe carts the barrel to the backside of the tavern/Inn for safekeeping.
Everyone: You all meet up at the tavern by the end of the day. You get two free rounds, on the Townmaster, who is grateful to not have to run the town with his tail between his legs anymore. You may continue your conversations if you'd like, at this point.

As he see's his party enter the bar " Ah my friends. Beer is the best part of being human." he raises his glass empties it calls for another snd falls asleep at the table.
alright lets give him a minute get situated maybe talk a little bit of business then celebrate a job well done, it's not everyday you liberate an entire town.
i wait for everyone to get settled with a drink. before waking Az Emberi up
Fjolnir drops onto the table's bench aside Az Emberi with a drink cackling, empties the mug, taps the table three times with it, and exclaims, "Varf-Trogg, friend. Take your time, she's a fickle mistress, the drink. If you're too eager, she'll abscond with yer coinpurse and you'll wake up lost and penniless...!"
Im still wondering about our first night here. The howling? It bugs me. Maybe it's nothing. speaking as if nothing happened today. Drinking his two free drinks.
alright so we have 2 things to do in thunder tree which includes helping us find Cragmaw castle so we need to prioritize but I am worried that the orcs outside town are an immediate threat that we may want to take care of especially now that all the able bodied people have been killed or ran off
"mmm-hmm" Fjolnir nods in agreement. "Though, I think just being on a lookout for the bastards on our way out toward Neverwinter woods may be enough. If we see em, then we stomp their green grins into the dirt."
Fjolnir cocks his head to the side, wearing as much ale as moustache, "Do you intend to take up permanent residence here? Because we've been hired to do... not that..."
Once, Thundertree was a prosperous community on the outskirts of the Neverwinter Wood, wealthy from the work of its woodcutters and trappers. Then thirty years ago, the eruption of Mount Hotenow to the north devastated Thundertree. In the wake of the natural disaster, a plague of strange zombies swept over the area, killing or driving off those who survived the eruption. Though most of the zombies have long since crumbled to dust, strange magic permeating the area has mutated the local vegetation into new and dangerous forms.

-We are all just one failed saving throw away from someone else's fantasy...
I'm not looking for a retirement home if this town is to ever survive it needs to learn to defend itself so if we want to press on I'm completely on board but this town is defenseless and those orcs are coming, also we know the bugbears were hired whos to say the orcs aren't a part of it as well we could get some valuable Intel as well as some easy coin to help our journey.
You tire and decide to pack it in after a night of drinking and celebration. Most of the townsfolk were with you, on this day marking the end of the Redbrand troubles for the town. No howling tonight, just peaceful passed out slumber.
You awaken and gather your things, loading all your non-essentials on the goliath-drawn cart, including a full barrel of ale for the trip. You go North along the road from Phandalin, crossing the Triboar trail and head straight for the edge of the Neverwinter Wood, aiming to use that as your landmark for travel.
Your day is uneventful, you see nothing that poses a threat. (Anyone can make survival checks to see if you need to use rations today I forgot to get your marching order for travel, as well. Since it's open terrain you have the option of being side by side, 1 or 2 of you could be a certain distance from the main group, etc. Let me know where you are for the next day's travel.)
You set up to camp for the night at the Southwestern edge of the Wood. You estimate one more full day of travel and then you should make Thundertree by the following morning. (Also let me know what order you plan on keeping watch)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"I'll keep the late watch, and step away from the fire 20' just to keep out of view. Easier to keep my eyes dark sensitive away from light.", Fjolnir offersand then suggests, "...and keep up the rear of the caravan, as long as someone keen is watching the lead. At the moment i'll see what i can scrounge up for food." Survival: 6 Perception: 10.
