Abner starts to bug out a little bit. He finds this extremely unnerving. With a grimace and a brisk stride, he marches toward the other room and toward the ladder. "Let's get out of here!"He attempts to reach the ladder, climb it, and go upstairs.
I imagine this could be interesting Red will watch carefully to see what happens to Abner for clues as to how this wherever-it-is works. Will he climb up the ladder and come out the mirror?

Abner grips the rungs of the ladder and begins to climb. As his hands leave each rung, small tendrils of smoky blackness reach out for his skin before returning to the dark wood - almost like strands of sticky sap trying to pull his grasp back to the surface. However they offer no actual resistance to his movement, and he climbs the ladder as easily as any other.
You all watch as the form of Abner disappears into the blackness in the ceiling, and does not reappear anywhere visible to you. At the same moment, his light extinguishes and plunges you all into darkness. Even those of you with darkvision struggle to make anything out in the tenebrosity around you.
Abner:
As you enter the black void at the top of the ladder, you are surrounded by blackness for a few brief moments. You continue to climb, and soon find yourself scrambling out onto the floor of the darkened kitchen.
The room looks as good as new, albeit in a veil of spine-chilling gloom. Everything is orderly and immaculate, yet dark as night - even your natural affinity for seeing in darkness is failing you here. The kitchen looks entirely as it did before, except the southern door is no longer here and is instead replaced by a wall of impenetrable blackness. The dark doorway doesn't look the same as the one that you just climbed through - it is completely opaque and doesn't look passable. There is no sign of the cockatrice lair or the petrified kenku.
The oak door to the west is currently closed with small, spindly tendrils of shadow gently swaying around the gaps in the frame. As before, there is no keyhole - suggesting that the door is unlocked.
You no longer hear the sounds of your companions talking... Only the melancholic tones of the hushed weeping from the shadowy corners of the room.

Adri looks at everyone, "Its like we went back in time. I don't know if we're in the mirror or if its making us see what it wants us to see. I think we should stay together, so let's go get Abner and see if the rest of the house is effected."
Adri walks to the ladder and waits for confirmation from everyone before ascending.
Abner says a very bad word in Draconic. He will attempt to climb back down and rejoin the rest of the party. Even if the trapdoor doesn't appear openable or passable, he will feel around and try to push his legs back down where he remembers the trap door formerly existing.
Abner will bang a rhythm on the floor with the butt of his hand. A popular tune he hopes will be familiar to Red, at least. He hopes they can hear him. Then he sits on the kitchen floor, slumps his shoulders, and sighs. "Well, you did it again, Abner."
I hate that we are following Abner, but fine, staying together is better than not. But when we go up, lets stay in contact. Heads to butts, sorry to be gross and sorry for the horns and tail. But I don't wanna be in 5 separate nowheres.
"I know Abner can be... immature and impatient, but he is apart of this team and I worry about his safety just as much as all of yours. If someone has a better idea, I'd love to hear it, but it seems as though we can't do anything down here."
The remainder of the group make the ascent into the dark void, and each come out into the gloomy, grey kitchen one-by-one. Therne and Brozak find it almost impossible to see anything, and need to be carefully guided towards the ladder by their companions. The same rings true for when they finish their climb; whereas Red, Adri and Abner can make out vague shapes in the blackness.
Abner can see the silhouettes of the party making their way out of the floor. The sounds that they make as they enter still seem to be muted, and are accompanied by the distant sounds of sobbing.
The frigidity in the manor is numbing. Abner having sat for a few moments finds himself shivering in the cold, his breath visible in the air before him.

Abner my friend - glad we are in the same void! I thought you'd be back to us instantly. When you weren't, I worried, shards of mirror, separate voids... shivers...did you try to get back to us? is that way blocked?
Red gets out lamp, oil, tinderbox Lets dispel some of this cold and dark. With Lady Therne's handful of fire we can have a little more cheer.
Sister Adri checked the mirror - it seems normal in this abnormal pocket. And if we cannot get back to it anyway...maybe we should try again together?...But if we can't get back where we started this trip, the only thing I can think of as a gateway might be the shrine to Sune. Or something we torched in the garden (great idea horn-head)? Lets hope not.

Therne senses conjuration magic literally everywhere. She is almost blinded by the aura from the spell, as everything around her is outlined in conjuration magic - making concentrating on the spell difficult.

"I really do not like it here. I cannot see anything and it is entirely too cold."
[OoC]: Red lit a lamp in post #375. The oppressive, abnormal gloom around makes it less effective than it would normally be, but you can more or less make out the greyish tones of the kitchen and your companions. The lamp is only emitting dim light in a 15 ft. radius, meaning that the area around islightly obscured. Mechanically, those with darkvision can see fine with the source of light nearby, but those without darkvision suffer from disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight. Without the light of a lamp, torch or spell; all characters are effectively blinded - regardless of if they have darkvision or not.

CON save for Detect Magic: 13
Does Therne notice any magic signatures? Perception: 10
She's also going to eat the berries she was given, plus her own (4 hp). And she has produce flame to illuminate the area some.
OOC: If Detect Magic shows nothing, she'll follow the others.
