Now the fun starts?
As Floki 'A' leads the party down the winding cavern - obviously cut be wave action - he reaches the point shown on the map.
As he does so two arrows (Attack: 23 Damage: 9 & Attack: 21 Damage: 5) and two crossbow bolts (Attack: 12 Damage: 5 & Attack: 13 Damage: 9) fly towards him.
One of the arrows sinks deep into his chest and one of the crossbow bolts hits him above the eye. Floki collapses with a groan.
As Zin sees past Floki's falling body he spies four figures behind some sort of makeshift barricade, two are kneeling and have just fired crossbows, the other two are standing behind them have just released arrows from what are obviously long-bows. However, one of the archers struggles with his long bow and (18) breaks the string in his hurry to get a shot off!
The party can act and then we determine initiative for the next round.

If I can see them and they are within 60', I will cast sacred flame on the crossbowman on the left (or another if I cannot see that one) as they are kneeling, i feel they are less able to dodge than the longbowmen and the barricade does not help against sacred flame. If nothing else, it will make the scene clearer. I will then seek cover at the edge of the alcove to the South, and try to visually assess Floki. Damage from Sacred flame: 8

Suddenly a rain of droplets of sunlit water descend on the crossbowman on Tiro's left who frantically tries to dodge (DC 13[Dex] - 20) out of the way and easily does so.
"Floki! Hold on mate! We will get ya fixed up." Zeph would shout as the hulking figure collapses to the ground. The black furred tabaxi would then hoist his crossbow and fire off a shot towards the archers before sending his dancing lights forward to illuminate the enemies.
Over Zin's shoulder Vhon squeezes his trigger firing a bolt at the same enemy that Zin had targeted. "We have got to be more careful from now on." He mutters before calling back over his shoulder "New guy, time to earn your keep, we have a man down here, can you magic up some healing from cover?".
Tiro says "To heal him, I need to get to him - or him to me. I can't do it from this range." he then continues "I can hide them or us or anywhere between in fog, I can blast one of them or i can dash out, use the big boy's body for cover and heal him. What do you want me to do? "

"Don't risk yourself, if you can get them all in the fog but not Floki we'll dash out and drag him back. I'm not leaving him out there to die." Anger simmers in Vhon's voice then he whispers "If you have anything else to offer me, then give me your terms, I won't let my friends die when I could save them."

Seeing Floki go down, Gilly grumbles as he tries and fails to access his magical healing abilities. Looking at their attackers, he decides to try a long shot. He makes a strange gesture, whispers a word in giant, and then, staring at the longbowman who just broke his string, he whispers in common, "You're outnumbered and defeat is certain. Surrender, and we'll spare you and your mates."
"You're outnumbered and defeat is certain. Surrender, and we'll spare you and your mates."
As Gilly is lurking at the back and is much larger than the others and therefore visible as some sort of menancing figure I think what he is really trying to do is Intimidate the archer so have another go. Given your size you could use your strength modifier instead of Charisma if you want
(OOC: Just fire the crossbow then. I had figured since the dancing lights was the only light source the team had, That He would have been keeping it up the whole time they were in the basement. Since he has darkvision however it doesn't matter.)

His intimidation modifier is the same as his persuasion, but if you REALLY want me to roll again ... I'll do it in a spoiler in case you change your mind.
In the beginning ... Well actually a little bit after!
Floki slumped to the ground sprouting an arrow in his chest and a crossbow bolt hanging from his neck.
One of archers broke the string on his bow and then seemed to question why he was really in a wave created cavern rather than out on the deck of a pitching ship but he then shook his head and refocused on fixing his bow. (OOC - didn't realise that Gilly's modification for Intimidation was the same as for Persuasion).
One of the crossbowmen was looking somewhat surprised at a crossbow bolt that has somehow made its way through their temporary barricade (half cover - +2 to AC) to pierce his leg - well done Zeph.
The Archer with a functional bow - getting no advantage from the half-cover as they were standing - has a wound on his arm where Vhon's crossbow bolt slashed across it before clattering into a wall.
Meanwhile the other crossbow wielding human did a spectacular roll to avoid the torrent of sunlight dappled water that suddenly appeared above his head.
Amongst other things (more details later) lying on the floor is a broken arrow from where Zin's arrow slammed into the wall behind the archer with the functional bow.
"Any time you want with that cloud of fog lad!" Vhon says as calmly as he can manage after Snapping off another bolt at the man he wounded earlier with the longbow.
Attack 7 for 6

One of the humans with a crossbow takes aim at Zin (Attack: 8 Damage: 5) while the archer standing behind him also takes a shot (Attack: 19 Damage: 6). However both missiles shatter against the walls of the passage
(Pre-post for when its my turn after Zin's action) "Working on it Cap'n" says Tiro and he casts Fog cloud centred on a spot 10 feet behind the middle of the barricade, 5 feet above the ground.

Can you cast a Cantrip as a bonus action? If not which are you doing firing the crossbow or casting the spell?

ooc: dancing lights is already active. I was using a bonus action to move them.
Zin swiftly fires an arrow at the longbow holder that still had a functional bow.
Attack: 10 Damage: 12
Dancing Lights only has a duration of 1 minute. It is more than that since you cast it to have a look at Tiro when you first discovered him.
