Loathe's LMoP Campaign 2 PbP

As Torwen throws his javelin, Victor aims his magic at the shouting goblin, but misses.  Beside him, Kierro also sends out a burst of magic at the same goblin. 

DEX save:  7

The goblin dodges the attack, still shouting.  Faywin reaches out with his Thorn Whip but his aim is off. 

As the goblin continues to shout you hear movement at the south end of the cavern.  "There's another one!" Sildar shouts, pointing to the stairs at the southern end of the area. 

((I forgot to roll initiative for Sildar, so he will go last))

Faywin, you're up!

Faywin will reach out again with Thorn whip 

Attack: 6 Damage: 6

Faywin tries again with his Thorn Whip but misses.  The goblin to the south runs up the stairs and disappears in the dim light beyond.  The two goblins near the wall turn and attack.  The one near Torwen swings his sword.  The second goblin moves toward Kierro and swings his sword in attack. 

Goblin 1 (vs Torwen): Attack: 21 Damage: 6

His sword slices through Torwen's arm, dealing damage.

Goblin 2 (vs Kierro):  Attack: 21 Damage: 4

Kierro tries to dodge, but the goblin's sword finds it mark, dealing damage.

Kierro, you're up!

Kierro clutches his wound but steels himself, firing another burst of flame at the goblin near Torwen.

Sacred Flame. DC 13 dex save, 4 radiant damage.

"Get away from them!"

(OOC: You wouldn't happen to allow nonlethal damage with spells, would you @dm?)

 Torwen draws his battle ax and swings at the goblin attacking him

Kierro fires off another blast at the goblin.   ((Only nonlethal damage for spells with an attack roll))

DEX save:  9

The goblin staggers back as the magic hits him, clutching his arm. 

Torwen draws his ax and swings at the goblin, striking him squarely in the chest.  The goblin collapses to the floor, dead. 

Victor - you're up!

Victor will try to muster his courage a bit more and send another Eldritch Blast at the remaining Goblin.

Eldritch Blast: Attack: 6 Damage: 3

Victor fires off a round of magic at the remaining goblin, striking it just as it moves to attack Torwen.  It moans in pain, but is still standing. 

Sildar, watching the battle, whisper-shouts, "There will be more - stay alert!"  He starts moving slowly towards the stairs at the south end of the cavern. 

((One goblin is dead, the other injured.  The third escaped to the south))

Faywin - you're up!

Faywin tries another Thorn whip

Attack: 8 Damage: 1

Faywin tries to Thorn Whip the remaining goblin, but misses.  The goblin snarls, realizing the danger, and swings wildly with his sword at Torwen.

Attack: 5 Damage: 7

Torwen just barely manages to dodge the swing. 

Kierro, you're up!

Kierro fires a volley of small flames at the goblin, then moves in front of it in order to shield his companions.

Sacred Flame. DC 13 dex save, 2 radiant damage.

Dex Save:  7

The goblin tries to dodge the flames, but his injury keeps him from moving out of the way.  He screams as the flames hit him, falling to the floor, smoke still rising from his body. 

Sildar is still moving towards the south stairs. 

(Party is the blue X's, Sildar the purple X - third goblin disappeared up the stairs)

Sildar turns back and motions to you all - he holds up his hand, showing 4 fingers.  He waits near the stairs. 

((We are still in initiative order, but since the monsters in this room have been defeated, you may all post an action before the other monsters move))

Victor will whisper that he is going to hang back here a bit near the water bit will hold an Eldritch Blast for the first creature to come down the stairs.

Held Eldritch Blast: Attack: 9 Damage: 6

Kierro advances toward the stairs, shield at the ready to block attacks aimed at his companions. (Dodge Action w/ flavor)

Torwen will follow Kierro, putting his ax in his off hand and drawing a javelin.

As Torwen and Kierro approach the stairs, the cavern beyond becomes more visible. 

Beyond the stairs, sacks and crates of looted provisions are piled up in the south end of the cavern.  In the middle of the cavern, the coals of a large fire smolder.  You don't immediately see anyone, but as you get closer, two goblin pop up from behind the piles of provisions and fire arrows - one at Torwen, one at Kierro. 

Goblin 1: Attack: 10 Damage: 3

Goblin 2:  Attack: 18 Damage: 3

 Torwen manages to dodge the first arrow and it thunks harmlessly into the ground at his feet.  Kierro dodges the arrow fired at him easily.  As the arrows both miss, you hear growling from the western side of the cavern and someone snarls, "Kill them, you fools!" 

Party - you may post your actions for this round!

Torwen throws his javelin at the goblin who shot at him

attack: 18  damage:  5  Bless: 2

14+3= 17 to hit

Seeing no one come rushing down the stairs Victor will move up till he can see inside the cave where the arrows came out from and see if he can see anyone. If he can he will hurl an Eldritch Blast at them.

Eldritch Blast: Attack: 10 Damage: 9

Kierro whispers in Celestial as auras glow with a soft light from Torwen, Faywin, and Victor.

Faywin moves up behind Torwen puts his hand on his shoulder and cast Cure wounds
