Kasha went downstairs and called out to Obsidian, who was dozing off by the windowsill. "Come on, let's go get some soil. We can help out in the garden!"She called out to everyone else: "We'll be right back!" Obsidian yawned, stretched, and allowed Kasha to pick him up, playing along that he was hers since, you know, the new rule.
It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining. People were out and about. She put Obsidian on her shoulder and frolicked happily through the crowd. It was a perfect day to do nothing, get into some trouble, but Kasha wanted to help others today. She danced and skipped and hummed and ballet danced down the street and- "OUEF!"she grunted as she bumped into someone. A woman, wearing tight leathers and a long coat who swung around, ready to sock whoever slammed into her, but then stopped, realizing who it was. "Oh. Hey, kiddo." Cora said, relaxing. Kasha uncurled from her fetal stance of defense and smiled brightly, waving. "Hi Cora!!" "Fancy meeting you here."the rogue said. "And, watch where you're going, huh?"she said in a more annoyed tone. Kasha giggled. "Sorry! Distracted. Just was getting some more soil for the garden!" Cora glanced at the cat. "And, who is this?" "My helper."she admitted, straight faced. Obsidian gave Cora a look, one that was neither pleased nor upset. "What are you doing here?" "I just arrived."Cora said, thinking. "A pit stop. Looking for a place to eat. I'm not sure where i'm headed next. Was gonna..explore." "Yay! Welp!" Kasha said, giving her a quick hug. "It's always good to see you!" "Take care, kid."Cora smiled. She nodded to Obsidian. "Cat."And continued walking until she blended into the crowd.
Kasha continued dancing down the street, humming, like nothing happened and Obsidian meowed from her shoulder. "I know, right? Crazy!"Kasha said. Obsidian meowed again. "Oh now you're just talkin' crazy! Come on, here's the place!"
At the end of 20 days, Dio sends you a notice that his research is finished and calls you all back to the store. "I believe that I found the answer to your armor question. There is a group of druids who have a secret city in the forest on Mount Halgeir that have experience with making armor from the skins of powerful creatures and imbuing it with their Druidic magic. The mountain is a few days north of here and unfortunately I can't teleport you into the city and while I could teleport you into the forest, I have only read about it in books, and I do not believe that I can reliably get you there without incident. It appears that you shall have to ride to the mountain yourself to begin your search.

Bix says nothing at first, seeming preoccupied with some strange, multi-colored cube in hand. And it was truly Bix this time. Not Barnabus. Not Drift. Or some other aspect seen or new to the group. Though there may have been some surprise on confusion when he showed up 'out of the blue' a day or two prior, those that caught a glimpse back at the temple could verify it to some extent.
He still wore a hooded cloak, and just about every grey inch of the gaunt figure was covered in some way save the face.
"... Understood. You have our thanks, Dio... But two questions before we go?" He finally looks up enough for pale yellow eyes to be finally be seen past the hood. "Safe to assume we should expect particularly large beasts in the area, such as Dire Squirrels? And secondly, was there any record of the price they extract as payment for an outsider wishing to have the right armor made?"

"I have never heard of a creature called a Dire Squirrel, but it seems like a reasonable assumption that there would be some unusual wildlife in the area. I don't know exactly what they would charge, but I imagine that it wouldn't be cheap. They might ask you to pay in material goods, or do something for them. Do you have any further questions or things you wish to purchase before you depart?"
Bix looks off to one of the shelves for a few moments, before turning back with a shake of his head. "Nothing I can afford yet. Apart from perhaps a potion of healing you might have on hand. Beyond that?"He thumbs his chin a few times. "... No, I am good to go. Again, our thanks for the research. As well as advise before."

Dio gives you a potion of healing for 50 gold. As you get ready to leave the city, Furlong speaks up before you get too far. "I have greatly enjoyed traveling with you all for the past year, but I'm beginning to doubt if these old bones can keep up with the rest of you all. I do not think that I shall be leaving Misfit Company at this point, but I do believe that I shall need to be alone for a little while and evaluate myself to see if I can still meet the standards of this company." He walks over to Stella and gives her a hug. "Stay safe. I am quite proud of the young woman that you have become and we will be seeing each other again." He then walks over to Rinn. "Don't do anything untoward."

Stella blinks with surprise, a couple tears coming to her eyes as Furlong gives her a hug, which she tightly returns. "I...oh. All right, Furlong. I better see you again soon, okay? No slipping off into the forest if you decide you do need to leave," she says firmly.
Obsidian rubs his head against Furlong's leg in farewell for now.

Alys would feel refreshed after spending time with Kasha and Yvan, as well as studying with Vastra. The scholar felt as though she was plenty productive over the last 20 days and had acquired plenty of new skills and knowledge to prepare herself moving forward. The elf seemed to walk with more assurance.
She would look to Bix, noting that today was just that, him. Alys would follow up his request in the store to Dio, “Actually, 5 more potions and a healers kit, please.” The blonde would place a pouch containing 255 gold on the counter. After accepting her bundle of vials, she would begin handing them out to the others. *
A frown would be evident on her face as Furlong makes his announcement. She will stand back to allow the others to say their fair wells first, but then she would step forward, and then with a formal bow say, “You will forever exceed the standards of the Misfits Company, and I believe there will always be room for you Furlong. Your wisdom will always be cherished.” Alys will stand back upright and reach out to Yvan to hand over his ‘training staff’ she lent him. Along with her own, she will then return Furlong’s canes she ‘borrowed’ for training. “And you might need these... heh.” Smiling with pink cheeks, the elf will step back to allow their old friend to take his leave. “Thank you, and farewell.”
*(Potions to each: 1 for Vastra, 1 for Yvan, 1 for Kasha, 1 for Stella and 1 for Rinn. Healers kit for self just to have a proper one.)
Bix quirks a brow at the announcement, and then gives Furlong a long look. But whereas others had goodbyes for the old man, he just pocketed his potion, and returned to tinkering with the cube again without a single word or even change in expression.

Kasha looked up at some birds outside, snapped her fingers a few times, and a pigeon smacked into her face. "OuPH!"
"THh!"she spit, picking a feather out of her mouth. She held the pigeon in her hand, speaking to it. "Do me a favor, ok? I want you to watch over Furlong for me. If he's in trouble, you come back and let me know ok. It'll be our little secret. KHKHKH!!"
The pigeon nodded, and Kasha threw it back up into the air.
She rejoined the others.
"Oh! Thank you Alys!"she would say, taking the potion. "So pretty!"
After saying farewell to Furlong for now, you depart the city and head north, towards Mount Halgeir. As you travel to the north, you notice that there are a lot of wagons and caravans heading in the opposite direction, more than usual. Eventually you get to the north, which is a very mountainous area, but fortunately there is a signpost that tells you which path to follow in order to get to Mount Halgeir. You follow the path and it starts to take you up the mountain. There's quite a lot of wooded area on Mount Halgeir and as you ascend the mountain, you notice that there are quite a lot of large, reptilian-looking footprints in the ground.
Make a DC17 Nature check to identify the footprints.

He gives the older gentleman a pat on the shoulder and a thank you for the service he's done for them up to this point, and he hopes that this will only be temporary. When Furlong leaves, the goliath watches him off until his attention is diverted to Alys handing him a potion. He takes it with a crooked smile and a nod of the head. "Thank you."
