The Exploits of Misfit Company

"I think it's a T rex!" Kasha blurted out confidently, looking up from the prints. "You know..one the dinosaurs i'm going to BECOME ONE DAY!?" she shouted out the last part up to the sky, as if someone was listening.

Alys would notice Yvan shuffling closer to review the prints along with them. She'd step aside to give him room to join her and Vastra.

 The elf will point out the tracks and some defining features.

Rinn curiously inspects the prints as well, deferring heavily to what Yvan says while nodding and attempting to look knowledgeable. "Indeed."

Alys and Barnabus: It appears that this footprint was left by a dinosaur, a creature that does have some reptilian qualities. Perhaps it was left by a T-Rex, or something bigger.

"YES!!!!!" Kasha arm pumps, excited.

"This certainly explains why they chose this particular area, and have grown accustomed to making particularly potent armor." Bix states dryly, seeming unphazed by Kasha's enthusiasm. "We'll have to be more mindful for lizards of unusual sizes, but it doesn't change of course. Shall we move on now? Or has suddenly every gotten an interest in following these tracks specifically to their owner for... whatever reason?"

"Well, it would be fascinating to see a dinosaur in the flesh, but I understand it if you don't want to risk it." DC18 Survival check to follow the tracks. Otherwise, you can head deeper into the forest and find the village. 

"I thecond that." Kasha agreed, already her mouth full of peanuts. "Leths rithk it."

Bix just kind of stares at Kasha for a few moments, before she eventually hears in her head. 'I have forged the link. Can you repeat that in your mind, please.' He request calmly. Whether she does so or not, between Vastra and Kasha being tempted by the prospect, the changeling offers little resistance. In fact, he even encourages her with a, "Then by all means, lead the way, Kasha." and a mocking bow.

(@All: Kasha or whoever takes point on tracking is given a d6 Bardic inspiration die.)

As you connect to Kasha's mind, you hear her singing softly a famous cat food product commercial jingle as she eats. "Meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow.."

She then gets on all fours and starts sniffing.

You follow the tracks to a watering hole in the forest. You see a huge dinosaur on two legs attacking some four legged dinosaurs with long necks. At the current moment, the dinosaurs are too distracted by each other to notice you.

"GREAT FOREST MOTHER! LOOK!" Kasha exclaims, loudly. "Isn't it beautiful?! Dinosaurs! Hey wait a second. Ernest?! Why is he attacking those other dinosaurs?!" 

Kasha runs towards them, calling out to the two legged dino.

Kasha, as you run towards the dinosaur that you've called Ernest, he turns and looks at you the same way you look at a chocolate covered peanut.

Everyone roll for initiative.

Rinn readies his bow. 

Initiative: 12

"Saw that one coming." Bix says without even looking up from his cube again.

Initiative: 20.

"Oh, wait a second, you're not..Earnest.." she says, looking up at him. "Oh, boy. Peanut............?" she says meekly.

Earnest Eats Kasha: 7

Stella sighs and draws her blades.

Obsidian, in the meanwhile, is ready for some dinorider action.

Alys, who's been preoccupied with continuously trying to adjust herself in her new armour, finally looks up.

Yvan had been quietly admiring the creatures from afar, too absorbed in his mind to notice Kasha running towards them until it’s too late.
