Ulthan perception 23. Crap, I didn't get 100.. Ulthan does not notice.

Mordekai, you're in the middle of your rousing story of determination against all odds in the face of evil when you hear a distinct *grunt* from out in the darkness, and the scrape of a metal tipped boot on granite.  Otherwise, it is quiet. 

Lionel, the spear stabs at the skull, sending it wavering a bit, as it opens it's maw in rage.  A blast of more energy zaps out and strikes you. 3 Pychic Damage. 

Take your next action. Mordekai, you may take an action.  (Meepo, if you beat DC 15 on your perception, you can also act, otherwise you miss this turn and can react next turn assuming Mordekai begins acting. Reminder, moralizing story not complete, no temporary HP's at this time.)

Lionel continued to fight the skull, expecting every second the necromancer to join in:

Attack: 10 Damage: 7

Attack: 23 Damage: 7

Meepo perception: 19

Rat perception: 9

Meepo sticks his head out the door and then shoots a crossbow bolt at the skull...

Attack: 26 Damage: 12 

Lionel, you slam the skull, sending chips of bone flying as the thing wavers, but your first hit missed.  The thing glowers at you and blasts you with another beam of energy.  4 psychic damage. 

Lionel, you do NOT notice the crossbow bolt.  FYI. 

Next turn Lionel, Meepo, Mordekai. 

(Did not claim Lionel noticed anything, just that he is expecting the old necromancer to strike at any minute, yet has no choice but continue to fight one of his creation)

The spear was not worthless, but the thing in front was tough, sustained by the magic of that foul magic of that demon in the shape of the man! (poetically speaking) Lionel made another series of attacks:

Attack: 16 Damage: 9

Attack: 8 Damage: 10

Another hit and a miss as yet more bone chunks fly off of it.  The skull seems as if it's barely hanging on, it's bone structure fragile and crumbling, it's green flame wavering and about to go out, yet it continues to attack fiercely.  2 Psychic damage as the thing blasts you yet again. 

Your turns. 

The waiting for a knife in the back was unnerving, but Lionel did not see the way out without finishing off that abomination fist:

Attack: 22 Damage: 7

Attack: 18 Damage: 10

Lionel smashes two times in succession, part of the skull flies off, fragment scattering across the room.  The partial skull laughs a hideous laugh and blasts Lionel once more for 4 Psychic damage. 

Meepo and Lionel dash outside in the cold and dark snow.  Meepo kicks a spots in the snow and says, "Here."  Mordekai rushes back in. 

Mordekai, Lionel is 90 feet from you, and down 30 feet. 110 feet if you "run around" and go down the stairs. 

Ulthan, you look up from your spot and see Meepo emerge and begin casting a spell outside the front of the temple. Mordekai does as well, but then turns and runs back inside the temple. 

Mordekai, Lionel, Ulthan, your turns.  

(If I am not mistaken, the spear allows to restore some health, or is it only after attunement?)

Lionel put Olin's cloak in his (Olin's) backpack, took the ring from Kasimir's hand and packed it too and then went up the stairs - his enemy was there, his friends might be there too.

Uh, hold up, you stop fighting the skull?   It's still fighting you!  We're still in initiative.

Yes, the spear requires attunement, plus you haven't actually defeated the skull yet. 

Hopefully this map makes things a bit more clear.  The wizard is on the north east balcony, which has no stairs to access it.  Lionel is down on the floor of the main room, still battling the skull.  Olin's body is nearby, as is Kasimir's.   

Mordekai is near the south balcony which has stairs, but so far is trying to be pretty quiet I think.  But we don't know, because he hasn't taken an action yet.  It will take 1 bonus action to get the ring off of Kasimir, and 1 action to gather Olins backpack and cloak. 

Ulthan explodes from a pile of snow, though since everyone's far away no one sees the awesome slow motion movements as he moves his head from side to side and snow falls quietly back to its resting place. He runs towards the entrance, backpack on his back, bow and arrows in his hands... It will take him 2 rounds (10 feet box right) to get to the entrance, and probably a 3rd round to get to somewhere useful... If Meepo is still standing outside in 2 rounds when he makes it there... Ulthan asks Meepo "Whatcha doing?"

No, of course Lionel continues to attack the skull:

Attack: 12 Damage: 6

Attack: 11 Damage: 9

(probably wishful thinking. It's a powerful thing!)

The red tinged spear team sweeps past the floating skull as it bobs and weaves, missing twice.  It's evil glare stings you again with a blast of energy. 3 Psychic damage.

Mordekai?

Meepo ignores the question of the giant-kin, though his concentration is sorely taxed with how angry he currently is at the hulking male.  He continues casting his ritual.

Once Meepo heads out, Mordekai is going to make his way as quickly and quietly as possible (more emphasis on the quick though!) to Lionel. As soon as he gets close enough, he'll cast Dimension Door, teleporting himself and Lionel out of the temple, 500ft away, in a direction straight out from the temple entrance (not sure how much distance is left of that 500ft once they're clear of the temple, but he's trying to get as far away as possible)
