Harmony had walked in, going down the stairs and was shocked as she saw the sleeping monster in the room. She would carefully and quietly follow the others around the outer edge of the room, but was prepared to cast Hypnotic Pattern if the monster wakes up and is hostile to them.

Stepping carefully around the edges of the room, the entirety of the party sidles around the chimera without waking it. The monstrosity snorts, still sleeping while the party clusters at the opposite end of the room, now in front of the closed door.
OOC: I just noticed that I missed Abraxas's intention of trying to recall information about the old lady, my apologies. What little he has read of Turmaether reflects the rumors that have been heard thus far; information is scattered and exaggerated hearsay. He does not recall any mention of an old lady within.
Garu locks eyes with Simeon and gestures him to come examine the door before they continue. “Help me check out the door for traps and the like”, she whispers to Simeon.

Abraxas stands with his back toward the door, watching the creature. He's curious about what it is, but won't approach it. Can he tell what it is given what he knows about Nature5?
Simeon examines the door closely, and does not notice any indication of a trap.
For Abraxas:
You've heard of monstrosities created by Demogorgon, the Prince of Demons, when he was summoned to the world and unimpressed with the creatures he saw. This amalgamation could be a result of that lineage.
OOC: If we enter a combat situation, the hallway is only wide enough for single-file. Feel free to establish a marching order (that will definitely help me if combat starts). Those in the back, keep in mind that doesn't mean that we have to wait for the person in the lead to move the party forward. Anybody can move us forward by posting an action, otherwise we'll be in this dungeon forever.
The room beyond this door is twenty feet high, and 15 feet to a side. The scent of ozone lingers, but the smell of ash is left behind. A strange throbbing pulse emanates from the room's center. It appears to be empty.
On the left wall of the room is a closed wooden door.
Based on the sinking feeling it gives you, the pulse is the central point of an antimagic field.
There is a complex locking mechanism on the door that is quite visible when Garu leads you toward it, bearing two rows of arcane glyphs. While the pulsing sensation is uncomfortable, it does you no harm as you traverse the room.

After a short period of time, he once again utters the familiar words to his guidance cantrip and examines the locking mechanism a second time...
Watching the creature, Abraxas follows Simeon and Garu hoping to make his way around the outer edge of the room with them.

Confident that there's no threat, Simeon opens the door to see what lies ahead...
Beyond the door lies a narrow hallway with a staircase that ascends around a corner, leading upward to another closed wooden door.
Behind you, the chimera shuffles in its sleep.

(Seems like a good time to determine our marching order. Is the passageway wide enough for two abreast?)
