There is a mischievous glint in Astra's lavender colored eyes when he finds the secret door, pushing it open to reveal it to the others. "And what do we have here~?"
Secret door!
"Indeed~"Astra agrees, sending off his familiar into the hallway to scope it out for safety's sake.

"Darkness, like my soul...." whispers Kitsune, as she steps into the inky darkness inside the shrine. And with that, she literally disappears.
Umbral Sight XGtE, pg. 42
You gain darkvision out to a range of 60 ft. (+30 ft. if you already have it). While in darkness, you are invisible to any creature that relies on darkvision to see you in that darkness.
Kitsune treads silently into the large room, and looks around for signs of anything interesting. Perception: 9
But ends up running into a spider web, getting the web stuck all over her cloak, and notices a rather large icky spider crawling up her cloak, and lets out an ear piercing scream in terror...
The dust and cobweb covered hallway leads to another room with a pool. A full moon is carved on the ceiling here, directly above the pool. The walls are decorated with reliefs of the Omuan people carrying out daily chores.
DC 10 Intelligence (Investigation): ????? If you pass, read the spoiler below:
What is strange is that the ceiling reflected in the pool doesn’t show a moon carving, but rather a sun carving.

The Moon Pool room leads to a large room in the center of the shrine.
Eight torches illuminate this room. The light washes over a floor mosaic showing two creatures locked in combat: a small bear with sharp claws and a rabbit with a spiral horn on its forehead. In the middle of the room, a robed figure stands next to a waist-high pedestal, atop which rests a stone cube. The figure is bald and has one hand on the cube. It takes a moment to realize that the figure is a statue.
Orvex explains that the floor mosaic shows Obo’laka (a zorbo) fighting I’jin (an almiraj). Inscriptions in Old Omuan underneath the mosaic explain how I’jin ruined Obo’laka’s attempt to placate Ubtao.
Orvex gasps in surprise at seeing the statue! "Oh no! It is Voj!" He runs over to the statue of his friend. "Oh no. My poor friend. He must have failed to disarm the traps here and gotten himself petrified. We must be careful!"
"What a way to go.."Zyn says sadly.
Each torch burns with a flame that never wears its wood down. You remember from the first hall that there are an equal number of unlit torches along the hall.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"We can't have that happen to any of us..." Astra concludes simply, observing Voj statued form closely. (Anything pickable around him? Investigation if needed 22) "I'm going to assume it was the cube that did this, so do not touch it."He directs. "It's most likely trapped. There has to be a way to disarm it..." Astra takes a minute to think, his eyes going from the cube to the statue, then the torches on the wall, remembering the unlit ones in the hall prior. "Anyone wonder if these torches may have something to do with it? Maybe if we take one to light the others in the hall it may do something...? Hmm..."

Voj carries an immovable rod, a leather pouch containing three tiger eye gemstones (10 gp each), and a red, leather-bound spellbook, which contains all the spells he has prepared. See the Mage entry on Beyond: https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/mage
"Maybe these torches need to be placed in the hallway with the torch brackets?"Zyn wonders.
"I definitely think that the two of you are on ta' somethin'. The riddle said that we need to stay in the light, so I'm thinkin' that these torches and the lights have somethin' to do with it. But I also think it's curious that the one pool has the sun reflected instead of the moon. Maybe we should investigate that an' see what's up. The sun is a source of light too."

Astra plucks the spellbook up immediately, safely stowing it away in his pack for study later tonight, followed by the rest of the items as well. When Zyn speaks up her thoughts, the wizard mulls it over a moment, then when Asha shares what she thinks as well, he nods. "Wanting to take a dip, Asha?”Astra muses as the thought and a playful smirk at the corner of his lips. “Lets take a look at the pool first, then work on the torches. "

Kitsune has been silent this entire time, still shaking off the horrors of walking into the spider web. Nodding in agreement with Astra, she herself grabs two torches and walks with Astra back to the hall and places her two torches in two empty holders.
When you get into the pool, the water is almost room temperature. In a gut wrenching feeling, like being dropped from a very tall height, you "feel" yourself emerging from the pool on the other side of the shrine.
That would explain the reflection. The pools are acting like a portal.
Asha goes back through the pool to tell the others what she saw. "This isn't just a pool, it's a portal type thing. That's why the reflection is different." She goes back again to get a good look at what's on the other side of the shrine.

The dark passage is choked with dust and webs. It’s clear that no one has been through here in years. It leads to the large room on the top left.

Zyn's eyebrows shot up at the mention of Asha taking a dip, trying to hide a pleasant look on her face.
Get your mind out of the gutter young lady.
Grandfather! Get out of my head.
"Don't get too eager, I'm not gettin' into a bikini here." And with that, Asha goes into the pool.
