Caer Dineval is build next to cliff, overlooking a small bay in the lake. Nearly all the buildings are build along a narrow road that leads from an old castle at the top of the cliff, to a ruined tower at the lakeshore near the harbor. The road from the Eastway (where you come from) is about halfway up the cliff road. Most buildings are boarded up against the cold, roll me an investigation check to look for an abandoned building. Also are you going up or down?
You split up the group to search for shelter for the night. Most building seam to be occupied but tightly shut to keep as much heat as posible. Nyx and Kree find an abandoned building up the road. The windows and doors are missing, it looks as if any piece of loose wood was salvaged from the building, leaving it open to the elements. Gilgin, James and Hifu find a similar building on their way to the harbour, they also discover that the inn seams to be abandoned and boarded up as well. Hifu checks on the ruins of the harbour watch tower, wich while wide open, would still provide some shelter from the wind.
Kree goes over to the others to report what he found and to ask what they had found. "I found a building, but it wouldn't provide much shelter. You guys find anything good over here?"
"Hey guys, let's check out the harbor watch tower, it should have some shelter from the wind, maybe we could build a fire." Hifu encourages the others to follow him there.

“Sure we could, but we’d have no booze!” Gilgin grumbles. ”Let‘s get inside the Inn, maybe they got some stock left.” He licks his lips excitedly. “Didn’t our man Gareth say that Keegan came here for supplies? Whatever got Keegan may have scared this lot off too.” Gilgin grabs onto the side of the boards with his grubby fingernails in an attempt to prise them off. Athletics 5

“Ever since I was a wee bearded chap. I knew that the safest place is always in an Inn. That’s why they call it an Inn, because you go IN it!” Gilgin barks at hifu “If you want to freeze out here, with nothing to numb your senses then be my guest!”
Hifu smiles at him and says "You are a hard headed git. But I love you and would step in front of an arrow for you, ya dumb bastard." Hifu follows Gilgin and helps him into the inn.

James, roll me an animal handling check or a land vehicle (wis) check to see how long it takes you to take care of the dogs (disadvantage if in the dark). You got the bullseye crystal lantern outside with the dogs or is Hifu taking it inside?
Hifu, Gilgin and Kree: It takes you a moment, but together you are able to pry away the boards that block the front door of the inn. When you enter, you are welcome by an mostly destroyed and abandoned commonroom of the inn. It used to be quite spacious, maybe 60 ft long and 30 ft wide, Krees lantern barely iluminating the far end of the room. Broken as well as useable furniture is scattered all over the room and a couple of benches lining the walls. In the middle of the room is an empty fireplace, with what most likely used to be the bar next to it. A couple of doors are leading to other rooms, some of them are broken and others are closed.
Kree moves to place the lantern in the middle of the room so that illuminates the entire area, once that is complete, he heads over to the fireplace and begins to see what is left of it. If it requires any kindling or firewood, he'll try to grab what he can from destroyed objects inside the room and then use a little bit of the oil and the tinderbox to get the fire going.

Gilgin would be heading downhill towards the dock. In his experience, sailors are heavy drinkers, so there’s always a good drinking hole near a dock.
