"Depends on the threat, I suppose," Bàn muses. "And how adept of hunters they had? Wouldn't take more than a few to take down someone walking alone without weapons. Or a child. If there was no pushback they could return again and again... Did it looks like they had hunters or other defenders?"
As Bàn examines the ring of stones, he fails to recall anything about the stone. Although perhaps the townsfolk will be able to tell Ricky something about them. Once he has finished with stones, he looks around for wolf tracks but fails to see anything.
"You are right Qinfaren, about the unusual amount of threats facing Ten-Towns," Bjorn says, nodding. "Then again, these are strange times. Our old friend Shadow of the Mountain, may have had the right mind, after all. Perhaps persuading the gods to help us would be the only way to end this winter. It seems to be bringing danger on our heads."
Bjorn then aids in helping to find wolf tracks but fails also fails to find any evidence.
@Ricky
Ricky heads back into town, and after wandering around for a little while, he comes across a building that is remarkably different to the rest. This building seems to be far grander and therefore must belong to the speaker.

”Well I’m sure everyone knows we’re here. If they want to come chat they will.” Qinfaren says as he absently strokes the head of the giant rat that is still with them.
Bàn and Owl take the first watch whilst Bjorn, Ricky and Qinfaren get some sleep. However, nothing unusual happens for the duration that Bàn and Owl keep watch. There is a sight of some people wandering through the town's streets. When his shift ends, he wakes up Qinfaren.
Whilst Qinfaren keeps watch, he spots something moving in the darkness approaching the town. As they draw closer, Qinfaren sees that the movement is of a large white wolf. Then the wolf veers slightly from its original path heading towards the camp. When the wolf is closer, Qinfaren realises that the wolf is limping on one back leg.

Qinfaren watches the shape materialize and admires the coat of the wolf before he sees that it's limping. He leans over and whispers to the giant rat, who's still with them until dawn, to keep a close eye on the wolf and if it attacks to attack it.
He then grips the end of his staff, feeling the mistletoe under his fingers and says "locutus est cum animalibus."
As the energy from the world runs up his body it finds a home in his his mouth and on his tongue. He calls over to the approaching wolf.
"Are you okay Mister Wolf?" Qinfaren asks. "You look hurt. Can I help you?"
"My master routinely kicks me,"the wolf replies."He is a mean old frost giant. He kidnapped two people from this den. He is holding them prisoner. I'll help you save them if you help me."
