"It was the one not under my spell who said the master was not home... So yes, I assume so," Bàn agrees. "Still, we're here. May as well rescue some hostages."
The group takes the right passage. The air is rancid with the metallic tang of blood and fish that has frozen in place on the ground. A brisk wind cuts through the room and whispers as it blows across the skin of the group. Lying on the ice-packed ground is the frozen corpse of a whale, crudely butchered. Her flukes are spiked with blue icicles; her body, dun white like moonstones glistens in the starlight. Beside it is a blade in the shape of a paring knife the size of a longsword.

The ceilings are high to accommodate the size of the wolves' master. Qinfaren also notices that there is a way through past the whale. He also finds a chest that is six feet long, and five feet wide but buried under ice.

Qinfaren taps where the buried chest is to show the others but he then keeps going past the whale to see if the next room is where the captives are kept.
"Come to the north, see the north, she says... Not a word about everything being frozen and encased in ice... oh no," Bàn complains in a whisper as he follows Qinfaren.
Deciding that freeing the chest would take much time, Qinfaren moves into the next room. This oval chamber with high walls of glittering ice resembles a sepulchre. The frozen, hacked-up corpse of a frost giant lies on the floor, entombed in translucent ice, and looming next to it is a woolly mammoth.

Bàn lets loose with a loud, piercing whistle. “Yo! Wolves!” He calls out afterwards. “You can come on in… Looks like something already deader your master already…”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"I'm not sure that was such a good idea," Bjorn mutters.
The mammoth spins around at the sound of Bàn's shouting. The mammoth stares down at the group with hate in its eyes. “You are to blame for all of this!”It then lowers its head and assumes a threatening posture.

Qinfaren taps his staff against one of this boots and moves forward after the others, doing his best to keep quiet.

Ban and Ricky still get a +10 to those stealth rolls too. Assuming the giant isn't using magical hearing those look pretty good.
The group silently enters the ice lodge, where they find three different passages. One to the left, one in the middle, and one to the right.

“Keep to the right so we don’t get lost?” Bàn asks/suggests in a hushed voice.
Qinfaren nods agreement to go through the right passage and continue in that direction.
"I think the wolves are lying," Qinfaren whispers. "The giant is probably here."

“That… is a whale,” Bàn points out, helpfully. “Umm.. did they say just how big their master is?”
“Back the other way, perhaps?”
"They said a giant," Qinfaren says. "And in this snowy, icy realm, I would guess maybe a frost giant. I have heard they are quite big."
Qinfaren examines the room for anything else interesting.

Are the ceilings quite high?

Qinfaren stares at the dead frost giant for a moment, wondering if the wolves outside knew their master was already dead.
Is this a frozen mammoth or a live one?
