The young artificer had started the interrogation well enough, but things quickly escalated beyond his personal comfort level, and he also stepped aside to let the bigger, madder gentlemen have their chance at him. At the sound of bones breaking and Yargin's screams, Kurstin had to leave the room before vomiting all over himself. Standing in the next room wasn't far enough away to muffle the horrible sounds, either, so he retreated down to the water-level room where they first came in. He sees Kai down there also, talking to the youngsters. And then he saw his sister, Irma.
"Irma? Irma Gurd!! It's you!" Kurstin will run to her and grab her in his arms, hugging her tightly and lifting her from the ground. "I never stopped looking for you! I searched every night for years, and I finally found you!" He sets the girl down and examines her closely, gently touching her head, arms, shoulders, legs. "Did they hurt you? Where's Lamm? Do you know?"

Danse continued eerily smiling as Yargin passed out, only pausing to frown at the somewhat cryptic message uttered as Yargin falls unconscious. He spat out another bloody wad, turning to the rest of the group. "I hate to part the reunions, but I haven't had mine yet. Gaedren's still out there. Below, perhaps." He turned to Brock. "You heard the man. I'm not as strong as you, but I suspect there's something beneath this place." Danse momentarily moves his tattooed hands to retrieve a card at random. Seven of Clubs. Yargin may have survived yet.

Kurstin waves away his sister's question. "It helps me see in the dark. Told you I was looking for you all this time! My new friend Ragnar here also found his brother today - it's a good day! We need to check a couple of things out before we leave - we want to find Lamm and stop him from taking anybody else. Can you keep the other children together here for just a little bit longer? We'll get you out of here soon, I promise. Hey, what was that guy talking about feeding you to? Is there another creature in the water or nearby that we need to take care of?"

@Danse - As you begin to walk around the room, you begin to think on some of your past experiences in Gaedren's other hideouts. While not always by the water, they were always fairly decrepit and abandoned buildings that never drew the attention of the watch. There was always a "front of house" like the room he was currently pacing in, to conduct his "legitimate" businesses and a "back of house" where the children were kept and Gaedren could hide, for months on end without being seen. As you continued to ponder where a trap door might be, a spark of remembrance hits you. Reminded that Yargin always acted as the immediate go between between Gaedren and the others, you quickly stepped over Yargin's body and into his office. After a few moments you found what you were looking for: beneath the old chair in the corner was one slightly discolored floorboard from the rest in the room. Though it was wedged shut, the fact that it looked "newer" from the others, even though it was cleverly dirtied up, gave it away as the trap door you sought!
Danse quickly removed the chair obscuring the entrance to the trapdoor he found. He stared for a moment, heart quickening once more. He swirled around and approached the rest of the party, emitting a whistle to attract the attention of the rest. "Looks like there's more out of this place, yet! The show's not over. Brock, give me a hand to help lift this, will you?"
Radgar looks to his comrade who are busily pulling up a trapdoor to his brother - his brother who is now safe and sound and in his care - and then back to the trapdoor - the trapdoor where his tormentor hides, trying to slip away and escape justice.
He's torn. Torn between pursuing Gaedren and brings his hammer down on the foul creature with righteous anger and between scooping up his brother and leaving all this behind.
The internal struggle is real, but brief. Gaedren must pay.
'Wait here boyyo. Keep an eye on the others and shout out loud if anyone comes in - I'm gonna finish this once and for all'
Kaisaras was happy to stand to the side as Irma and Kurstin had their little reunion, returning upstairs so as to give them space. Hearing Danse's shout, Kai would enter the office as well, giving a note of curious praise, "Well done." It was good work indeed, but for the time being, he'd need to focus on keeping these people from outright killing Lamm before he got all he needed from him.
Hearing the whistle, Kurstin looks at Irma again and says, "OK - you and Radgar's brother here are gonna look after the rest of these kids until we finish up here. If anything goes wrong, get everyone out of here and to the city watch. Love you always and forever, sis." He gives her another quick hug and heads upstairs to join the others. He was happy to have his sister free, but the man responsible needed to be stopped or more innocent lives would be destroyed.

Brock would nod to Danse and look around for teap doors along with his companion. When Danse finds the discolored floor board, The muscular man would quickly make his way towards the trap door and attempt to pry up the piece of wood.
Danse heaved a seething sigh at the unbudging floorboard. He seemed angry. He took out both scimitars and spun them for a moment, bringing each down with a yell near the place the floorboards meet to hope to find a way to enter.

After the moment of anger passed, Danse calmly turned towards Kurstin and Kaesaras. "If my memory serves me well, you each acquired a set of keys, correct? They might be used here, somehow."
Kurstin pulls the two keys, one made of brass and the other made of iron, out of his belt pouch and holds them up. "Anyone see a keyhole anywhere?" He will investigate the room to see if he could find a slot or hole. Investigation: 9

Ya won't need it, but it's nice to have in case something goes wrong' Trapdoor: Radgar steps over to the trapdoor, helping the artificer in his search for the mechanism that releases the lock (help and Guidance) for Kai's roll.)

Brock would draw both of his handaxes. "Move aside" he would say was he motions for his companions to give him some space with his axes. He would then begin slamming the axes into the wood over and over as spinters fly through the air.
@Brock, after about 15 seconds or so of hacking away at the floorboard, you managed to chip away enough of it to lift the trap door. Underneath it, you all found a small 1'x1' hole looking down into a large chamber. Immediately adjacent to the hole is a bucket attached to a rudimentary pully system. Though it's difficult to see much from your vantage point, Brock could distinctly hear the Jeggare River below as well as see a few pilings rising towards the ceiling. You do not hear or see anyone down below...
"I wonder if we could get into the room via the water? Or the vat downstairs? The bucket must be to raise and lower supplies. We should get down there quickly!" Del heads back to the lower level room and checks both the circular and rectangular water containers. Perhaps they opened into the river?
