Katia’s fire bolt envelops the armor in a plume of fire that reaches the ceiling, melting the layer of rime that’s gathered across its surface.
Pivoting through the open door, back up the steps and outside, Red Chanter decides to try her luck and fires a crossbow bolt, still focusing her attention on the blue armor. The bolt is embedded deep in the armor’s chest cavity.
Harley attempts to strike it again, angry at missing the first swing. This time, one of the gauntlets punches her blade in mid-air, deflecting the blow.
Shagar isnt quite quick enough to dodge the first blow completely but manages to step aside for the second and with a roar that would make her Orc ancestors proud jams her pike into the green armor in front of her. She finds there is no meat beneath the armor, however, and only pierces the stale air of the vault.
"oh deary me glowbugs!" Hoots the old man from outside as he taps his staff and flings a javelin of light. The force of the javelin sends the (blue) armor skittering across the room, and this time it does not reform.
(Botting Daelnar): Daelnar moves down into the chamber, delivering a roundhouse swing against he remaining armor with his glaive’s blade and handle: Attack: 16 Damage: 12 and Attack: 23 Damage: 7. One attack lands heavily!
The armor continues to bludgeon Shagar!

As everyone looks around and licks their wounds, Red Chanter shoulders her viol and plays a lilting melody that inspires intrigue and wonder as multiple, complex harmonies magically intertwine themselves. It continues on and on for quite some time without ever seeming to repeat itself until it crescendos to its climactic conclusion as she completes the ritual to cast detect magic.
Depending on what she finds (if there is any sort of enchantment on the doors), she'll take a close at the northern door to make sure it's safe to try and pick.
Investigation: 10 (if this is a success and it's trapped, she'll obviously take the appropriate actions before trying to pick it) Thieves' Tools: 25
(Well that ritual casting takes 10min 6 seconds.. so we've got some time; I Healer Feat'd Shagar and harley from the Mephit fights; I cannot heal them with the kit this time. But if anyone else need a healer kit let me know. if Harley or Shagar are hurt good and want healing I can use a spell easy enough-I get them back on short rest)
The Old Man stares at the writing. You hear his lips smattering as he seems to talk to himself for a moment. Turning to the group "YEAP. Its scratches." Malik hobbles over to the slightly cracked door as the Cat works on its ritual-silly cat didn't check for more enemies before settling in for a nap- Malikmotions towards the door to his idle cohorts, "We best make sure notin's trotting its way for us."
(Malik is trying to peep through the doorway-but won't get closer than 10ft. I would rather HELP ACTION someone else attempting to look. To give them Adv. But if no one looks see GM spoiler
Katia did not know Draconic (would not even recognize it as such), so, she just looked at the pretty letters(?) runes(?) and then walked around, periodically stopping to study a particularly interesting piece of broken ex-live armor. (Arcana: 12 if there is anything to know about that armor)
"Well, at least yer get somethin' t' warm yerself up with when yer walks in here. Nothing like a quick kerfuffle to keep the blood pumpin'." Daelnar wanders over teh the armor looking at the pieces that made it up, checking for damage and trying to work out what had caused them to stop animating again... Armor was armor, and he wasn't quite sure why hitting it would have removed whatever enchantment had made it move in teh first place.
Red’s spell reveals a faint aura of abjuration magic radiating from the doors and walls. She tries to pick the northern lock, but can’t quite maneuver the locking mechanism.
Glancing south, Malik sees stone tables lying in pieces on the floor at the east end of the room. Two open stone chests stand against the west wall. A layer of fine sand coats the inside of the chests and the floor around them. Here, you notice two sets of dwarf-sized boot prints (likely Orvo and Urgon) as well as two sets of boot prints made by human-sized feet (probably the animated armor).
Moving south into the next chamber, pieces of rusty plate armor are scattered about this room amid the rubble of destroyed stone furniture. An anvil built into the floor stands in front of a cold furnace to the southwest. Across the room from the furnace, two humanoid feet stick out from a pile of rubble.
"Can I enter? Is it safe?" Asked Katia while walking straight to the chests and picking inside. "Looks like everything here was taken before us. I wonder who locked the door after that and why monsters did not attack previous group."
Malik trotts up as Shagar and Katia work, pulling forth his supplies... but gives a warning "Careful lads and lasses. Don't make much sense for much to be alive here with them armours."
"Unless someone else came through since Orvo and Urgon, the two most likely didn't go this way. Our quarry must be to the south," Red Chanter thinks aloud as she gets frustrated with the lock on the northern door.
@DM anything lighting up from detect magic in this new room with the feet? It's got a 10 minute duration.
Harley reads the inscription and follows the group. "I don't suppose an escort is coming anymore anyway, so we should be fine just going in." She nods in approval as Shagar goes to move the rubble, but is wary of touching anything herself. Instead, Harley keeps her hands near her weapons and keeps an eye on the doorways.

Katia finds that the chests are built into the floor, but are empty.
As Shagar and Katia begin to move rubble, Red considers the magical properties of the room. While the walls here continue to radiate an aura of abjuration, no particular items stand out.
From within the rubble, a gurgling moan is heard. The humanoid form lurches up from its resting place, dragging one foot as it raises crushed arms and broken hands. It is dressed in archaic and exotic robes of Aeorian style. The weight of stones has flattened its facial features. Still the zombie advances, driven to kill anyone too slow to escape its grasp.

Shagar’s pike rends the breastplate, and the entire suit of armor crumples to the ground.
The inscription on the wall is an archaic form of Draconic.
(Draconic language, or comprehend languages):
“Welcome to Salsvault! Visitors, please wait here for an escort, and DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING WITHOUT PERMISSION.”
The door to the north (right) is locked, though might be picked or forced. The southern door is ajar, leading to rooms beyond.
